#painting #hanging #wire
I didn't know that I needed a 15 min informative video about hanging paintings but here we are. Nice work!
let me tell you that I have seen some not-so-nice ways of hanging a painting. Besides not all of us make this simple task the same way. Was nice of you to say "nice work!" at the end.
@@idalinadasilva8203 For sure. I really like this video.

Thank you I just got into my first gallery show and needed to learn how to do this it was simple to understand and a huge help
Congratulations!!
This is exactly the information I was looking for. You explained and demonstrated perfectly.
Awesome tutorial. It took me a second watch to remember why your face was familiar. I used to watch Stephen's channel a lot back in the day haha
I love have mal always responds to everything that has questions in the comments: great work as always! Can’t wait to see this months painting
Hi, this may help but when I attach a wire to my paintings I fasten one end and then slip on about an inch and a half of heat sleeving or tubing over the finished twist. The sleevng is normally just slightly bigger than the wire. Then use a lighter to heat the tubing which causes it to shrink tight onto the wire. Always looks a nice job. Thought it may help.
Heat shrink tubing is a great idea! I hadn’t considered that!
Thank you Mal, I'm doing this to a large oil painting today. Your clear instructions will help immensely! I also have to package the painting for a plane ride... I'm off to see if you have a tutorial for packaging!
This was definitely helpful. Just attached wire and d rings for the first time to to one of my paintings. Your tutorial was easy to follow and I got it done on the first shot! Thanks so much 😊
This is so helpful and straightforward! Thank you!
Thank you for this video. This was so helpful!
A good clear explanation, nice. Thanks Mal
That's way more instructive than the packing, thank you! If you're looking for game painting ideas, Jet Set Radio Future could be a fun one :)
I have got fantastic results with your method. Thank you!
Really great explanations, thanks for taking the time to go through everything :)
Very well done and informative!
Great video! I understood the instructions completely! Thank you! ❤

Thank you so much! This was helpful 🥰☺️

This is very handy! I have the Nowhere Islands painting propped up on my wall with command strips, but I might wire it!
This was a very helpful video
Thank you so much!
Thank you. Great help.
Thank you this video helped me.
Great video! Thank you so much .
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽
Thanks A Lot girl you did great
Thank you!
I’m curious, do you do this in order to hang your paintings on the wall for the ebay picture? Or do you do something more temporary for that, and the buyer can choose what to do later? Either way, great work!
I don’t because someone might have something specific they need to use when they hang it themselves :)
thanks to you, I did it!
A perfect video that i was looking for. Keep that smile on :) .
One more thing I wanted to ask about circular canvas. I have 18 diameter hard wood back canvas on which I have put resin also. So it has become very heavy.
Any suggestion which screw to use behind the canvas and what material to use. I have bricks wall.
Thanks in advance
There are stronger wires you can get (they're rated for different weights) and I'd just find some heavy duty D-rings. Ook makes 75 lbs versions of what I used. I've never had brick walls, so I'm not really sure the safest way to hang anything on them. If your canvas is really heavy, like over 75 lbs, you might need to look into a french cleat system.
@@MalMakes thank you will surely check
Hey Mal i know these two games are not made by nintendo but if you mind... can you make a painting based on Gitaroo Man(a game made for the PS2 and the PSP) or a different painting based on a really cool game called Parappa The Rapper(like the previous game i mentioned it also made it to the PS1,PS2 and eventually PSP) btw your paintings are getting better with every single one that you make so please keep it up:)
Thank you :)
The bumpers also keep the painting from moving on the wall.
Love you
is that the goose game

Wish I had watched this one before I watched the one from 2012 in 360p which ended with me just creating my own knot design. lol
This is a great idea for hanging up paintings instead of using nails and a hammer. 👍
Don’t you still need a nail to hang the wire on?
@@djdeadbeat4380 oh sorry. I meant just using a hammer and nails on the wall. 😂
Ya know, it never occurred to me that you had to put up the wire yourself on your canvasses and that's kinda silly of me in hindsight
This is very helpful
Thank you for this! 🫶🏼
