I recently disposed of a Dyson Animal cylinder hoover from 2006. While the motor worked the plastic bits kept breaking until things wouldn't stay together, namely the dust bucket no longer clipped in and had to be taped on. I was never really impressed with it and it did replace a DC01 DeSijl upright. I swore I would not get another Dyson and replaced it with a basic Henry and I am really delighted with it. I got the Aerobrush as an extra and 30 bags. Argos and I used my Electricians trade points to get vouchers to the value of £150 so he cost me £20.
Nice one Monty, Henry Numatic are the best and also excellent with the turbobrush, I wouldn’t touch a “die soon”, whoops sorry I meant a Dyson, kind regards to you ,Mark from Billericay 😀👍🇬🇧
Dyson's vacuums are made of untreated ABS plastic, so they will continue to rot and decay and break apart as the years go by. Every Dyson upright that came before the Ball series cleaners are all suspect to plastic degradation. They are museum pieces only, not for daily use. I just spent $120 for a new lower chassis for my Dyson DC07. I tripped over it and the entire lower chassis busted completely off the frame. Took 6 months to find someone selling one.
I was surprised how good the Henry is in terms of robustness and suction. I think bagged vacuums are better having owned a bagless Dyson. You just take out the full bag and throw it in the bin and have a fresh. I am also sure the filtration is better on Henry. I don't sneeze when I use him like I did the Dyson. I have had Henry about 4 days today and we must admit to doing a deep house clean with him to try him out. I think we will get the flexible dusting brush shown in this video too. I might even get another Henry to keep on the van for cleaning up after jobs and retire the spherical Hoover Constellation I use for work clean ups.
@@montystelevision3238 Yes, Henry makes their vacuums very well, and there is thought behind every feature. They are a long-standing British company that continues to be British and has not outsourced (with the exception of the Henry Quick which they are doing now in China for the time being because they are expanding their entire factory in Somerset and the factory is running at limited capacity at the moment). Their company and their staff listen closely to their customer base and put features on that are wanted, and not changing things just because they can. They have such a huge lineup of cleaners for every single house, business, or purpose you can imagine. They can all handle the abuse with great ease as well. I have seen so many totally ruined and destroyed Henrys that still are fully functional even in a damaged state from bad owners. I live in the USA and am saving up to import a Henry to use, I am excited to have one!
Thanks to this video I’ve just ordered this very model direct. My sebo has given 5 years good service but now it keeps blocking up so it’s time for a change and with 3 dogs and 4 cats this should really do the job.
Said it before, I’ll say it again… god bless the beautifully practical, tough, good value and consistent Henry, a textbook example of Great British design and engineering, hewn from pure quality!
Will we ever get to watch a video where you would show us all of the Numatic canisters in your collection so far? And where you would compare the Henry Home with the other Henry's like the Henry Family and the old brown and beige one?
Has anyone else noticed how Numatic has quietly discontinued the HVR200 model, and made the HVR160 Compact the new default Henry size, and the xtra model now in the HVR200 size is now like the ‘bigger size’
Hey ibasiac it's your old buddie Dan from Ireland county cork Mahon I hope your doing good I even got a dog named archie hes puppy now 10 third class still gettin good work I know have a Henry quick I'm planning to get a few Henry's of Santa and few trains and ships keep up your work 💜
Great video. I spotted George peeping out from behind bars too! Having had a Dysooon, Shark and now a yellow Hetty, I don’t think I’ll ever stray from Numatic now. Brilliant simple, great build quality and outstanding performance - especially with the aero brush.
I wonder what numatic will breed next in the factory? Henry150 size? Henry Upright? Henry Super? Explanation of Henry super: Henry Turbo with Extra tools The red Henry bag and a 700W motor
Neither of the Reaach kit nor the multi angle tool on its own are available here in North America. I think it looks wonderful and I want one very badly. I’m hoping one might become available.
Hi, I have seen you have reviewed all the vacuums i am looking at. Could you tell me what your recommendation would be between a Henry (oder model before the volatage limitations) , a shark navigator and a miele C3? Or even any other recommendation?
Thank you for this very informative video a I was just looking at this model the extra tools are what drew me in since to buy separately they work out very expensive
Nice. quite a chubby little fellow at that weight. I noticed in another comment you stated you would never get a wool carpet again, is there a reason for that? I can recall my Mum saying that with her wool carpet after cleaning/washing one area, it always seemed to get dirty twice as fast as the rest of the carpet.
I think the weight is for the whole cleaner plus the tools, not the vacuum itself. I don’t like wool carpets as they are harder to clean than man made fibres and can hold on to stains, especially pet accidents.
Love my new henry turbo it’s great. My old Henry hvra200 lasted 13 years before without warning just blew up last year. Was faithful till the very end so of course bought another. I like that it’s smaller and the big turbo brush is great gives me loads of carpet strips 😀 Had a shark duo it snapped on the bottom so brush bars wouldn’t come on anymore I loved it was handy thing , but Henry is very robust and that’s what I need! as the shark only lasted a few months because I am a bit heavy handed and it was rather flimsy I think personally but would have another but Henry is always reliable. 💯
I can’t recommend anything for a wool loop pile as I don’t have that type of carpet fortunately. I know you shouldn’t use an upright as it can cause the fibres to fuzz.
@@ibaisaic Yes, no brushroll cleaning, it will catch the loops and destroy the carpet. I would stick with a soft horsehair straight brush, or replace the carpet entirely with something easier to clean. I had wool loop throw rugs, they were very cheap and nasty and I never got one again. I don't buy any carpet other than your basic pile carpeting that's existed for 60 years.
There was a wool loop pile carpet in the living room of the house I lived in with my parents and it was a nightmare to clean and held onto stains, especially pet accidents. I won’t buy a wool carpet now and never a loop pile.
@@ibaisaic thanks roger . I’m currently using Henry without the brush which I hope will be ok long term. Great video on the Henry Home , I’ll be ordering some extra attachments soon

If henry home had the extendable pole that the henry plus has, it would be a perfect henry.
You have done allot numatic video’s for a few years and months and weeks
Has anyone else noticed how Numatic has quietly discontinued the HVR200 model, and made the HVR160 Compact the new default Henry size, and the xtra model now in the HVR200 size is now like the ‘bigger size’
They haven't discontinued it, it's just no longer the main model. It's still available through B&Q, Amazon etc
ive noticed, literally most new henry models are 160 size instead of 200
I still have the craftsman shopvac!
Roger, how many of these Numatic vacuums have you been unboxing, these past few years?
There are 72 videos on my Numatic Playlist, so I must have over 60 Numatic cleaners with about 5 or 6 that I haven’t shown on my channel yet.
@@ibaisaic show them pls❤
Do u have a houseful of vacuums
A house full, plus an attic and storage unit. I try to sell them on eBay but nobody is buying at the moment. I may have to get a skip soon.
@@ibaisaic how much was the Henry
I can’t remember, but probably not much more than £100 for the model in the video.

You may be better off trying a metal based floor head for loop pile.
