- Jamming with the Sonicware Liven Mega Synthesis for the first time. I kept it pretty simple for the first go. There's still a lot of functionality I haven't dug into yet. I like it so far, although it has randomly froze on me a few times now with all the lights coming on and making a buzzing noise. Hoping they fix that with a firmware update.

I'm new to the groovebox world, what types of cables and speakers would be preferable for this setup?
It really depends on how you want your setup. When I make a beat with the Mega I just use a set of headphones (I’m currently using an old pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50x). When I record to my comp I use the Universal Audio Volt 476P as my audio interface. The Volt connects to my laptop using a USB-C cable and the Mega connects to the Volt using a splitter cable (1/8 inch TRS Stereo to Dual 1/4 inch TS Mono Y-Splitter Cable) in order to record both left and right channels simultaneously. If you want to sync with other devices you’ll need a midi cable or a sync cable (1/8 TS Male to 1/8 TS Male) depending on what you’re syncing to. For speakers to start with I recommend something in the Yamaha HS Series or KRK Rokit Series in whatever size you prefer. Hope this helps!
