My 2000 Club car DS has had that earring noise for roughly 7-8 years. Figured id be replacing the transmission until i found this video. Took me about 2 hours from pulling the trans tearing it down and installing it. $60 for 2 bearings and its perfect now. Thanks for the video!!

Have a question. I replaced all bearings in my club car trans . Assembled the wheels turn opposite as they should, but won’t roll once assembled. Any idea what I may have done wrong ? Thanks
I’ve got a 2003 pioneer 1200 that is slipping out of gear 7-10 time before it engages... is this an adjustment issue or something internal on trans?
How can you tell what year the trans is? The number from cart is missing and I want to make sure I'm getting a counter clockwise rotation. Or can you tell me which direction the lever needs to be for forward and reverse so I can spin it and find out

Have you every replaced the ring gear on one of these transmissions?
1997 club carryall 2 plus. Grinds in reverse and then pops out of reverse unless I hold it the shifter in place. Synchronizer Ring maybe? What do you think?
Do you have a video on transmission removal? Do you have to remove with the axles attached?
I have ez-go cart, same transmission , mine won’t shift into forward or reverse. Is it the Governor piece you talked about in the video and can I purchase just that part?

so you're saying with the screaming i have coming from my yamahas rear end at slow speeds i should stop driving it? it goes away at speed its only really when i first start rolling or am almost stopped and only going forwards and at this point it only needs to last a few more months until i get a snop built and can rebuild the transaxle its got probably over 600 miles on it and thats just me owning it and i got it 7 years after it was manufactured. i daily drive it ive put 240miles on it since april 23rd.
I have a 2012 club car won't go into gear like it is stuck the cable and switch is good. I cannot manually put it into forward or reverse, axles spin by hand. I just drove it last night no problems. Do think trans is locked
Why would there be a sealed bearing in the transmission? Weird, unless I missed something like it was an outside bearing .
What year club car was this out of?

I have one that the shifter with go into forward but when you hit the gas it won’t go forward. Reverse works fine. Sometimes there is also a slight grinding noise coming from it every so often

How to fix a reverse on a 99 club car ds gas
@themowermedic1 ive got a club car that i think the trans has gone out in. you can put it in gear F or R without the brake pressed. second you go to stop the brakes wont stop the utv. its like the trans wants to keep pulling and you cant throw it out of gear with the brake pedal pressed in. if you come to a coast with no brakes applied you can throw it in nuetral and stop just fine. thoughts?

I’m new to golf club car, I have a 1981 club car. When I drive forward or backwards I have a clunking sound as I drive,axel bearings are good. What would be your thoughts on this.
Its the motor mount vibration dampener snubber, it is a $9 part, goes on the front of the motor support frame, available on Amazon

Pow I finally found someone with my same issue! Did u get it fixed? The shaft that he had the failed bearing on it has the synchronizer. I have replaced the cable and adjusted it but it still pops out of reverse. If u barely give it gas and hold the shifter hard, it will stay in. Replaced the shifter fork which had wear and didn’t work. Now I have that shaft on my work bench and pulled each end bearing off. I did notice when sliding the shifter collar back and forth one way it shifter good and the other the balls would lay over. I’m sure that’s the reverse side. That side gear seems to have slop not holding the shifter balls. Medic please help!
My club car DS 2003.5 is stuck in reverse, can't move the shift lever back to neutral or forward. I was up on the side of a hill when I shifted into reverse, it felt like it went to far if that's possible, any how, it never would go back into forward. drove it home in reverse. Any suggestions other than tear it down and rebuild. By the way I plan to do that soon to put in a lower gear for off road use anyhow. Just not this soon.
Mark Moynahan shift fork and clutch dog in a bind. Remove input shaft and repair fork as needed

Someone put the,sealed bearing instead of a open on, which is alright as long as you remove the seal
That's the way the bearing is. The replacements come that way as well. Just replaced one in one of my utility carts. This makes the 3rd bearing I have had to replace.
It doesn't make any sense that bearing is sealed when the rest are open. Why? Is that a mistake in engineering? Why isn't that bearing open to accept lube like the rest?
I don't think the oil gets that high up in the case
Looking further at your fast moving video(slow down next time and back away a bit), those bearings are at the top of the case; the lube system is a wet sump which means the oil has to travel by gears to get to the gears. A sealed bearing wouldn't get any lube unless the gear case was filled to at least half of those bearings. The gearbox in my opinion was poorly designed and almost guaranteed to fail.

... I have a 2010 diesel put a new belt on it ran for 2 sec then locked up... I did notice water come out of airfilter not sure if some how it hydrolocked...
@@86JQuick No reason a locked up tranny would keep it from starting, the belt freewheels while starting.
Same thing I thought rgamore, a splash oil system shouldn't have sealed bearings inside the tranny. That and I would not use 80-90 gear oil in these, I would use tractor hydraulic fluid like John Deere hy-gard, or a 75 - 80, Mobil makes a great lighter oil.

Club car will cost you 4 times the money. Just go to your local bearing supply

Got it put together. Looks like 80w90 for a gas cart is recommended.
