    Hi Everyone,
    We hope you enjoyed our video! Which motorhome with twin beds did you like best? Do you prefer a travel trailer, motorhome or 5th wheel? Please say hello by leaving a comment below and sharing you opinion about these RV floor plans.

    I like the extra bench space in the last one, moving the portable cooktop outside is a great idea, with a BBQ, your meal prep is perfect. The XL beds are ideal for those of us with XL men. I don't mind the EW sleeping, I can drop off to sleep fast. 😊

    I like a small Class C (but preferably with no slides). These are all a nice length but the showers on the first two were too small. And I'm not a fan of the wet bath on the last one. I realize that I'm in a minority, but I'd like an option for a full dinette to allow for forward facing seats for children. I know that most folks seem to prefer the sofa or reclining style chairs, but forward-facing seat are safer for children. I'd like to see this bed option on more RVs. It gives you the best of both worlds, bunks or a king size bed. I also like that the bed is always available. On a sad note, the MSRP is kind of pricey for me. Thanks for the reviews.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  Рік тому

      These are all really great points. No slides = less maintenance ❤️. I never thought about the car seat situation with the lack of traditional dinettes. Thank you for pointing that out. I think the twin/king bed floor plan would be perfect for a RVs too! Thank you Shelley!

    We own (and love) this floorplan in a Winnebago. Both Jayco's have bed widths of only 32" which is too small for active sleepers (like our Ray). We permanently converted our 33" twin beds to one 88"x74" large king, which then allowed for real mattresses instead of cushions, which makes for much better sleeping. We relocated two drawers to where the aisle is and actually gained more storage. The Vegas/Axis twin beds are 38" wide and that extra 6" of width may negate the need to convert to a king. Lengthwise the Melbourne is almost too short at 72" (remember to allow room for pillows) except for the shortest people or a single traveler. The Vegas/Axis and Granite Ridge are better at 75" and 76" lengths, respectively. If you are a couple and one or both of you is over 6'2", these RVs might not be right for you, because crawling over one another during the night while using the east-west positioning is not ideal. With regard to the Melbourne, we also would not spend the extra money on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, which we have in our present RV, because they are expensive to maintain.

      Thank you! Since we tour 3 (sometimes more) RV tours in each video we keep them brief and about the floor plan, otherwise the video length would be quite long. Our hope is that we can introduce a viewer to a floor plan they might like and from there can check out more information on the manufacturer's website. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.

    22T is an Ekko-fighter with some pluses and some minuses. Overall more pluses, such as the upgraded suspension with lift, induction cooktop, simpler electrical system, better microwave, and the AquaHot125G. Minuses include the inferior bath set-up and the omission of a Froli under-mattress system. Still waiting on more details about the OCCC and whether there is room for more battery and more solar. I believe the Starlink option is for a roof-mounted, phased array, stationary antenna, not a portable one.

We Couldn't stand it any more and there is not enough room here to explain all of our issues. The thing just started falling apart plus as a pro driver I could not stand driving it. Thanks for the reply. Yes, slide was just one. That turned out to be that the motor had not been factory attached properly. Things started falling apart - Driver seat not adjustable ( I could not reach the floor) - Steering was so bad it wandered all over the road (I was a truck driver) - and the list goes on!!! After 6 months we traded it in for a Georgetown.

    The first Class C is nice but instead of just a small couch I think they should have put recliners in place. I would rather recline and lose the drawer space underneath. The second thing is why don't the manufactures place the eyes of the stove top in line instead of side by side. This would give you so much more counter space. I know they do this as a safety feature but I think it should be an option for the buyer. I really like the twin bed option, it's nice to be able to relax and sleep without be disturbed by your partner and you can also place a fan between the beds for noise if your partner snores.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  8 місяців тому

      We really like the twin bed option too. Nice for partners that don't want to disturb each other and nice for people that aren't partners either. I have a feeling the manufacturers will begin to include stove tops with a different layout eventually. They need the stove top manufacturers to alter their design, but that will be perfect! • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  Рік тому

      That is true. The quality of construction with Thor, and other manufacturers, have really struggled over the last few years. But they aren't alone. Other brands that manufacture parts like slide motors (I'll remain nameless) need to do a better job as well. It's a shame that they rushed assembly on all these RVs to meet consumer demand. They've only damaged their reputation. Let's hope things will improve. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.

    Vegas/Axis 24.1 are huge sellers, so Thor sees no reason to improve them. It's a shame, because they could use some of that generous cargo space to house a modern power system. That vast roof can easily hold more solar. They could ditch the obsolete Winegard and add Starlink. The fresh water system is already enclosed and the waste tanks are heated. Add dual pane windows (acrylic?) and make it 4 seasons with a thermal curtain isolating the cab. It's a fully 12 volt coach otherwise, why not convert to 12 volt A/C for quiet and efficiency? Make the driver's side bed a few inches shorter and expand the shower the few inches as that would make a world of difference. Upgrade the beds with better mattresses and add slats or a Froli system. Upgrade the heat/hot water with an AquaHot 125G as they are already putting in the Jayco Granite Ridge 22T. With an induction cooktop, the big propane tank could be ditched. Finally, give it a full body paint, upgrade the suspension, and rebadge it as Entegra, Jayco, or even Tiffin. Folks would easily be willing to pay a premium for these improvements.

    • @rvfishing8817
      @rvfishing8817 Рік тому

      I took out my Winegard with the roof over the WalMart pickup in Fairbanks AK. Never liked the design, with installing a sim card in it anyways. Replaced it with a external cell signal booster so any phone can utilize it. Have Starlink but only turn it on when I know I am going to be out of range a lot of the time. Having it shut off 8 months out of the year saves $1200.

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  Рік тому

      Every manufacturer could improve the technology and RV features like you mentioned. And if they did the cost would easily double. It really depends on how the RV is going to be used - full-time, vacationer, extreme temperatures. Some of these features may be necessary to the average user but you did design an awesome motorhome. Thanks Susan and Mike, great work. I know you just show them, you don't design them. First one: not a comfy sofa, more like a cramped love seat. Also, some people would require a chiropractor to adjust their neck after watching TV. Poor kitchen design for food prep. (maybe the designers don't camp or cook). Second one: the shower, hahahahaha, no thanks. Poor kitchen layout like number one. Third one: 204k, I'll pass. For that money I could buy 50 to 75 acres of unrestricted property. People would be endlessly trying to rationalize their purchase of such a tiny rig for a hefty price. Just my opinion.

    • @RVBlogger

      Thanks Tuvia. All really great points. I think manufacturers are running out of good space in a motorhome this size. Trying to cram too much just make comforts like watching TV, cooking and showering nearly impossible. The Jayco Granite Ridge is very similar to the Winnebago Ekko and their pricing is the same. I think these motorhomes are designed to be off-road and have different features (that we don't really cover) that make it such a high price point. But you are right way too high for me too!
