- This is what happens if you get too close to your partner in Martian Gothic: Unification.
The best fucking animation ever, I gotta say. Although the game is pretty good, this "death scene" is something really awkward. - Розваги
Stay alone, stay alive.
When this video was uploaded the game was only 6 years old
Now in 2024 the game is 23 years old...
a) Each member is infected with a different strain of Kurakarak-DNA infused bacteria. When just one strain comes into contact with another, it forms a tripartite structure.
b) The two that bond at first automatically home into the host infected with the third strain.
c) Die/Bye.
despite the extremely weird, choppy, almost funny animations in work at the death scene, I have to say the concept is pretty creepy. imagine being in a place where the threat of a horrific death is constant, and the only logical thing to do is stick with your allies to keep eachother safe, only to realize when you meet up with your allies that you all start to die internally as a result.
honestly in a situation like this, it could probably cause crippling insanity.
Crippling depression
PaladinGear15 Just like the scenario of John Carpenter's The Thing.😨
I wish if they remake it to our games today’s
@@skeletonking4119 Just play Dead Space. It's almost the same concept.
That was the tragedy of Martian Gothic. It had a really cool original premise, but had the ABSOLUTE WORST execution I've ever seen. The absolute worst controls in any Resident Evil clone, a genre already notorious for terrible controls (made the original RE look like Devil May Cry). The absolute worst "respawning enemies with limited resources" that made System Shock 2 look generous.
And the absolute worst bugs. Seriously, I've never seen another console game hard crash as often as Martian Gothic. There were like 3 separate points in the game (MOOD computer room, air vent chase, dig site) where there was a chance of a crash that would PERMANENTLY CORRUPT YOUR SAVE and your only option would be to start the ENTIRE game over and just hope that you wouldn't encounter the crash again.
Sometimes the crash would kick you out to a text prompt error report. I've NEVER seen that in over 30 years of console gaming.
After two years of seen this video
It’s STILL give me an cold terrifying chill !
I'm only here because of "Martian Gothic Reunification - Shitstorm 4: Matt & Pat's Scariness Marathon"
+DamuEmran me too
+Akaritomi
me three
and what is that im curious
What happens when you don't social distance.
They clump together into one mutant.
On mars no one can hear you clump.
Those three characters transforms into one creature (because of the disease). If they get too close of each other, it's game over.
We finally did it group hug people!!
Uh oh!
Ogre Battle 64: Let Us Clump Together
I remember this game! My brother got it. But I was really young then, so the Trimorphs scared the hell out of me. I had nightmares. :P
Thank you Ross Scott, Game Dungeon on this game was amazing
And it pretty much is it, but with even more stiffier controls. Though, the difficulty is very high (which is good, I think) and there's a lot more dialog between characters, when compared to the Resident Evil.
The best fucking animation ever :D
I'd be so pissed if I did that on accident,
a) Why did they turn into THIS thing?
b) Why did the third one die as well?
c) Lol. Sayonara.
Thuloc
a) because of the bacteria, it's on the air and they can "fuse" to turn into a monster
b) the logic and many things of this game is made by crackheads lol
c) lol i bet they didn't wanted to copy RE at all
@@kingpedobear5886 a) They turned into a Trimorph when the met because of the alien DNA coded bacteria.
b) When the first 2 combine, forming the Bimorph, they sense the location of the 3rd person infected with the last strain of bacteria. They then hunt that person down and combine with them, making the trimorph. Not sure why the devs of this game were "crackheads". It's an interesting idea poorly executed due to shitty budget and likely bad direction. Insults aren't necessary and make you look kinda like a douche.
c) I'm sure there was some intent for the Sayonara ending. Other then there being a gun called the "Psyonara" or whatever, there really isn't much info about what their purpose of putting Sayonara in the game was. Once again, likely a good reason for it but poorly executed due to bad direction and budget restrants.
Here's what disappoints me about this one (I've played it lots):
1) The miniscule budget.
2) Tiny enemy roster, and no final boss encounter.
3) The fucking bugs that can occur in every single playthrough unless conditions are just right.
4) Little Mars surface exploration.
5) Some mood dissonance in the voice actors.
6) Terrible lighting. The atmosphere would have been spot-on with actual lighting.
7) Boring, mostly useless weaponry. Only one actually kills anything, but that's just 1 enemy.
Too creepy, and what made the game original, that if you got close to your partners, it was the end!
LMFAO
this is why we social distance
Nah, this is just what leftists think will happen if they catch "the coof" and go near other people. Those goofy bastards have very good imaginations.
Lol! K ow more than scientists then ya rightist goof!
This game was a shame. It had such a great concept. Great storyline idea. Just executed VERY poorly. It also didn’t help that they made the game with a rushed deadline toward the end of the PS1 era. So many cuts were made like a NPC other than Ben that was suppose to help solve puzzles, a boss fight at the end, more recordings etc. the creator also said he had ideas for a prequel that detailed the events leading up to this one. What a shame!
As well as a sequel. It pains me that Creative Reality was dealt such a bad hand. This game could've been fantastic. I wish Stephen Marley would novelize this game and its idealized prequel and sequel.
This is a pretty campy horror game, actually. And I kinda love it.
The story and voice acting is pretty entertaining. Everything else...torture.
Check out "how it get started" and "few highlights" from the related videos -section and you'll see yourself.
This game scared the shit out of me when I was a kid.
Game over message being "Sayonara", that's something. Also, I would get if the animation was like morphing together, this instead just looks like a random monster eats you, which makes no sense.
This game had a great concept, but very very poor execution.
people clumping together...time in the rock..hmm makes you wonder doesnt it?
No wonder.
It should be like those three characters transforms into one monster (called Trimorph), but... This animation is just so crappy. You don't have any idea what's going on, if you don't read memos/listen microcorders in the game.
I guess that zombies don't have a infection at all. They might be all victims of trimorphs.
I should keep playing the game forward. Maybe there'ssomething in the plot...
That's horrifying!😨
just run around most of the zombies , if your in a closed space then use your gun , grab what you need and then run to safe spots ,
you only need your ammo near the end ,
LMFAO... Oh soooooo worth it. And the whole "Sayonara" Game Over screen jus' makes this priceless...
Admit it people, there is jus' somethin' about HORRIBLE tid-bits and scenes in games that we jus' LOVE. Ahh, that goes on my list of most rememberable death scenes EVER.
"Ahh" "Eek" "Ooh" "Noo" "WTF?" "We dead yet?" "GRR" "SAYONARA"
It's a disease...
I was playing it earlier, but guess what? It froze during the breached chamber part. I'm playing on a PSOne and I heard that this very system had this problem. To support that, the game worked all the way on the older Playstation, but not on the PSone...
@CrocodileFunkee What kind of disease would do THAT!?
i like killing the trimorphs with the flare gun, but i hate the one in the necropolis, you can't kill until it hits the obelisk thing. btw has anyone figuered out how to use the spectrometer i had to use the internet to find the code because the thing made no damn sense. Benn Gunn (John Farr is brilliant)
@CrocodileFunkee And the rehash cycle continues
Thanks for the info :P Tho I know, what sayonara means.
What in the world just happened?
I understand if two of them were affected, but why was the Japanese guy affected? Hes no where near?
And what the hell was that mass of meat that came out the screen? Is that them? Did the games death sequence spoil the end monster?
And Sayonara...just...what? I like that its not just game over or "YOU ARE DEAD" but goodness.
This game would be cool if the map worked
Resident Evil in space!
So... Dead Space?
Well more like classic PSone Resident Evil With the shoddy graphics and tank controls but seriously in space. At least Dead Space was its own thing even if it was monster horror in space. So Resident evil in space would be a good comparison but this, this really feels like resident evil!
bello, peccato non facciano giochi piu cosi
When they clump togeather they form a biomorph i think then the hunt down the last person thats not apart of the clumping they should remake the game it had alot of stuff they should add when you actually kill the non dead etc but its a pretty decent game everyone has unique taste
Well, that is obvious. But where is this disease coming from, why is that and so on...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
"Sayonara."
I really don't know. wtf.
Dose the PC version of this game run on XP or Vista?
This game rocks! I have had it for a while but never really played it. The zombies piss me off because they just get up a few minutes later and waste all your ammo. I've never beaten it.
the zombies are scary when they get up
It’s Resident Evil basically
I love Martian Gothic, such a shame it was slammed :(
I get the impression the game was kinda buggy and rough around the edges, but reading about the premise, it sounds really good.
Its called survival horror for a reason. You get save points. You die, you go back to the save point. Hence the term "survival".
ok
lmao always wondered what happens, sooo bad
I actually love this game for some reason though :\.....
scares the shit out of me as well... think it's the strange acting and freaky ass music lol
@liquidork yeah so
Can anyone post a better version of this?
what are you talking about this is he best quality ever
You're thinking too much. Let's just say that if the team would have know what's awaiting for them in the ship, then they wouldn't send all three members on the ship at the same time.
Also, that "best fucking animation ever" in the description is supposed to be VEEEEERY sarcastic comment. And that what I said about Dead Space is also a joke, I really don't care who's ripping who.
Yeah I thought you might have been, so I tried not to be an ass about it :P
@liquidork lol there's nothing original about Dead Space. It's a great game sure, but omg aliens in a space station....HOW ORIGINAL. Ever played the game System Shock 2? I know it's a bit different because it was the AI's fault, but that looks like it gave birth to Dead Space.
I would like to know if is there any relation between the Marker from Dead Space and the Stone (don't remember its name) from Martian Gothic, they are pretty much alike... and the plot of the story is pretty much the same as well, I though (beside ripoffs) these games had a story relation.
How is this a ripoff of RE? It has a far better story than any RE game has ever had.
It was funny though...
jajajaja que tiene de especial esto?, por efecto el juego es asi.
Yeah. To be honest, this game has some serious amount of different bugs. I have heard many stories of them, but luckily I haven't discovered any of them.
... whaaaaat?
ricardo griva
to boil it down:
you control 3 people in a space station. if they get too close to one another they become a monster
+ricardo griva Its like Dead Space, if they look at each other they "clump together" turning into a large monster made of their 3 corpses.
Akaritomi holy shit!
ricardo griva go watch Matt and Pat's shitstorm 4 episode of this (which just came out), they point out how dead space ripped off this game's concept of necromorphs (in a way)
+Akaritomi pretty sure dead space is not ripping off this game at all have you ever heard of a little movie called The Thing? If not well you should probably go watch it, it's a fantasic movie, but anyway the "Thing" is a brutal shapeshifting monster that actually tries to hide it's monstrosity by hiding itself in the form of another person. Now if the monster gets caught in the middle of its transformation, or just in general it will use its shape shifting abilities to weaponize itself...like this and Dead Space but really Dead Space takes a lot from The Thing especially the organs becoming weaponized/the only way to kill the monster is to completely destroy it with fire, which is in the Thing, vs the dismemberment in Dead Space. Also the orignaal Fallout and the FEV virus espeically the Master has a lot of the whole "massive conglomeration of organic and inorganic matter to form a gruesome horrific creature of nightmares"
Ah, you already figure it out. At least part of it.
Yes, that's true. But the reason why is this happening... I'm not gonna tell it.
Well I do agree that there's quite amount of bugs and errors in the game... character movement and controls aren't the best either. But I think it's a great idea that you have to keep the distance between characters. Brings a lot of puzzles in the game.
It's little above the average/mediocre game, but there's a lot of better games to play. And that's my opinion.
What the fuck was this?
@Aquarius199 Lol,AVGN.
Well excuse me if I'm trigger happy. And besides, whats the point of putting all the zombies in the game if all you do is run around most of them?
i get its when like you want to stay in group but the monster is so bighe will kick all of yo asses
@liquidork who cares its a old game and dead space is a bad ass game so is dead space2 but any way dead space has its own story line
AIDS
I HAD TO SAY IT
the people clumping together thing is stupid
...and Dead Space is Martian Gothic ripoff... :
