Pop-up Mock-ups & 3D Sketches for Oz Fantasy

These are the 5 mock-ups / dummies I made before the final version of the pop-up tableau "Oz Fantasy". Quite logically, it takes shape little by little (even if the core shape is fixed from the start), gets more focused, or sometimes not, haha, with modifications even between the last dummy and the real thing. The work on the PC started, here, after version 2. The illustration (cleaning-up and modification of Denslow's original illustrations for the first edition from 1900, already 124 years ago!) plays a big role in the shape changes, of course, and probably takes more time than the PEing. The graphic design (mostly cover & text arrangement?) is usually the last thing taken care of. That's about it ?

Ce sont les 5 maquettes que j'ai faites avant la version finale du tableau pop-up "Oz Fantasy". Assez logiement, ça prend forme petit à petit (même si la forme principale est fixée dès le départ), ça se détaille et se concentre (ou parfois pas, haha), avec des modifications même entre la dernière maquette et la version définitive. Le travail sur l'ordi a commencé, ici, après la 2e maquette. L'illustration (le nettoyage et la modification des illustration d'origine de Denslow pour la première édition de 1900, il y a déjà 124 ans !) joue un rôle important dans l'ajustement des formes, bien sûr, et prend probablement plus de temps que l'ingénierie papier. Le "design graphique" (principalement la couverture et l'arrangement du texte ?) est généralement fixé en dernier. C'est à peu près tout ?
