This was the best faux loc installation video I viewed on YT. All I kept thinking was I'm going to comment for you to show the removal, but then you end the video with the removal process (which was just as easy to do). If only I could hit the like button several more times. Awesome tutorial!
Keenesha Miller Exactly what I was thinking, i.e., the removal process. Fantastic tutorial! You should take a side job on teaching, if you already aren't doing that.. You'd be good at it.
Just know that when hella people ask me to do their hair in the individual method, they always show me ur videos to show me wat they want. That's power boo
You've saved me! I HATE how bulky crochet styles have to be to cover the cornrows and I also HATE the tension cause by normal braids/faux locks so this is perfect! Genius.
I need you to know.... I'm not even half way through this video but... you are the REAL MVP of 2017!! OMG! Why hasn't anyone figured this out sooner.... I spent countless hours installing faux locs my own head in the past, and I hated the crochet ones. Just looked too bulky! Now I so gotta try this!!! Thank you-thank you- thank you!!
Compared to previous "easy" faux loc tutorials I find yours to be so much more easier to follow and you show how easy it is to remove them... thank you
You made it look so simple. My 8yr old wants these but shorter. I can't braid very well, so your technique made it very easy for me to do hers. This beats paying someone else almost $200 to do. Thank you so much! You are such a blessing to us less talented people when it comes to hair techniques.
*Firstly, you're very very talented and you're such a genius for coming up with creative techniques like this *Secondly, I hate how these big UA-camrs refuse to give credit like it's not even that hard...they just steal things from you and act like they all started it instead of helping you out by giving you credit (I'm so sorry this happens to you) I would be really mad too if someone did the same to me *Lastly, keep doing what you do, I love your channel and I'm sure a lot of subscribers do! :)
+chenemi u + I noticed that shit too. I was on another video and they were doing JN's method like they just thought of it and I'm like nah, lay credit at the right door and give where its due.
I need this to go viral tbh. Like you deadass showed us how to install AND take down!!! I can't wait to try this. THIS THE ONLY HAIR TUTORIAL THAT MATTERS BRUH!!!
I'm so excited you showed how to remove without damaging the faux locs just in case you can/want to reuse them, a lot of people don't show you removal in the same video
Omg I thought I was the only 1 that did not succeed with the look. It was an epic fail but I spent so much time doing it and 5 bags And I don't want to take it out.
Omg! Thank you for this video! I've been through a MILLION videos on how to install faux locs. This video is the first that I've seen where you slide your hair within the loc. Others are twisting/ hugging their hair with the loc, which I don't like. Bless you my dear. You just saved my life and I can't wait to get started this weekend!
I tried tour method on my hair today it was challenging but i got through it and it took me like all day but i feel i did good for it being my first time.
I just bought these faux locs and was looking for an installation with no cornrows and you nailed it!!! Thank you, I will definitely try your technique
I tried your method and it was amazing. No damage no tension I loved it.. Now I want Senegalese twists and I'm wondering if it'd work with your method?
OK. I just HAVE to comment. This video is a God send. I did jumbo braids a couple weeks ago and had to remove them because they were just too heavy on my scalp. I really wanted faux locs but knew thew were going to be even heavier with an old method I was going to use... and it was going to take HOURS. I am still in shock this technique you just showed is that simple! I cant wait to try! It will be beautiful and most of all.. pain free!!! TY TY TY TY!
I love the locs very beautiful. you're nails are super cute at well. i love that green. i also love that you say were all queens. that's very beautiful and positive. keep doing you! love it! 😊
thissss is so ingenious!! woww!! I've never had faux locs in my hair because i was fearful of the tugging...my jaw literally dropped with this video...guuurl! yess and thank you!!👏👏
The best individual crochet tutorial ever so economical too. This is gonna take my crochet locs lock to a new level coz I'm also a newbie-ish to DIY hair thanks Jazz
Thank you so much for this video tutorial!!! It took about 10 hours.... but I was able to take my time and install my own faux locs and I am so proud of the results! Thank you for sharing your technique and your talent with the world!!
I love this method....I'm definitely going to try it. I individually wrapped all my loc's, it took me days to finish my hair. I love the way it looks, very natural, but I wouldn't do it like that again. This method looks super easy.....thanks for sharing!
Literally after 2 days of doing my hair for the first time I'm crying and celebrating..I will deff do this next time!!!! Ty so much for this technique!!!
I tried this yesterday and failed miserably. Not sure where I went wrong, I do my own crochets all the time. I think the main issue was that the loop at the top of the loc was so small and I couldn't open it any larger without partially unravelling (and thereby ruining) the loc. I want to try again, but setting my hair in all those plaits only for it not to work out was a huge waste of time :(
BEST and EASIEST crochet loc video I’ve seen so far! I’ve been thinking of doing this for my Baecation to Puerto Rico next month and now I’m sold lol. Saves me $200! Thanks girl
Ive seen a ton of ppl on youtube do this method. the first thing that comes to my mind is they shady. i got into it with one chick who claims she started the method first because her video post was before yours. they need to stop it
You started this individual crotchet loc trend. You were the only UA-camr doing this new technique" and no one recreating it is giving you credit. But thank you for teaching us.
I have been crocheting hair for 20 years; for me, the needle is too time consuming. I use a basic hairpin and loop strait through, takes me approximately 2 hours
Thank you, thank you, THANK YYOOUUUUU!! I had the hardest time finding which hair was the best to do this method, didn't realize it was your method. Goes to show how many UA-camrs don't give you your credit. This is a genius method!! Once again thank you!!
that's crazy... when I saw her do it I was like OK cute but I've been stalking (Jazzy Nicole) for a min BC of her method. I love both ladies but wrong is wrong and right is right. just give credit where its due! keep ya head up chick...numbers mean nothing to true fans 💝💝💝
I'm a virgin to the crochet style and have an allergy to doing hair (lol), been wanting some for the longest. However, can't seem to find anyone to do them....Jazz Nicole this clip may have cured my allergies to doing hair!! Thanks for sharing this detailed, easy as well as fly way to rock this style!!

I have a question. What is the advantage of using braids to attach the faux locs vs using twists. I feel like twisting your hair would be faster and easier (my hair is relatively long) but is braiding it more secure or will that make it last longer? So glad I found this tutorial - got my faux locs (12 inches), crochet hook and I'm on it. Didn't want to make mine too long. Needed this method after having locs for so long, they got thin and starting falling out. Decided to cut my hair and start over, but I found this video instead, so I'm going for it.
it will show a little at the top. just like mine. if it is a lot, try twisting the faux loc before crocheting it onto the base of the braid, like the video showed. the smaller the crochet hole, the better. it also depends on the locs you use as well.
Jazz Nicole I just tried again making the section smaller and twisting the loc like you said and it looks way better. Girl you just saved me! I was going to take my hair out because I couldn't have shown up to work looking the way I was. lol Thank you so much for the quick reply!
Yay! I saw this concept elsewhere but didnt want to do it because she had large knots at the base. With your technique I will definitely be trying this!!! Thanks for sharing
I love that your hair is not cleanly divided when you do this! Like the perfect squares of hair always make the locs look so unnatural! Yours are so natural and effortless!
Omg, looks SOO easy gonna try this next time i do faux locs, the lady that did my first ones last summer, didnt know what she was doing, when i took them out, my hair looked DEAD, it was awful but this method looks like it allows your hair to breath unlike wrapping! Great video tutorial!
Thx for sharing this tutorial. My daughter wants this style for when school starts.. definitely going to try this method- your clear step by step make me think I might be able to pull it off..
Shout out to you girl! I will be trying these very soon. I see the growth that you're achieving with your real hair too! Shows that you know what you're doing
That looks very simple-in theory-, the reality is that I get into all kinds of BOTHER-ATION with my crochet hook and I'm not trying to perform accidental brain surgery on myself, as I am wont to do. After watching many different UA-camrs doing faux locs i somehow made my way to the originator. Props to you sis I'm sorry so many people use your wrapping technique without giving credit but you doin the damn thang. 💜
This is the best faux loc tutorial I've seen and I've seen a few. I have no need or desire to watch another one. I'm so confident that my locs about to be on point 😁.Thank you for posting.
I just got my hair in today and I’m going to attempt to do fau locks no I just watched like 50 + different videos on how to install them but I got blonde locks but I got dark hair and no one really showed me how to feed it into my hair easier yours is the first video that I’ve come across out of 100 of ladies that I’ve seen thank you you made this much easier for me to do tonight
Great video! I'm definitely gonna try this method. I usually struggle with self installing anything but this looks simple enough for even me to accomplish.
This is amazing!!! You've got the best of both worlds: the individual loc look with the ease of crochet lock. I'm definitely going to be trying this in the future
yes thus is how I've been doing mine. I found this to be super easy and it works on most faux loc hair. cuts down on the amount of hair you use as well
Okay so lemme just say how happy I am that you did this because I do hair & I use one of your methods for faux locs & it's quite similar to this one but you wrap your hair into the loc. Girrrrrrlllllllll this is going to save me so much time. 😫💕💕
YOU ARE A GENIUS, QUEEN!!!!! Your technique is absolutely amazing as it is a great protective style preserving hair, edges, nape, etc. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

chenemi u. I noticed that too... looking at other ytubers and I'm like "that's the jazz Nicole method!" it's sad
Girl you need an award for these videos. They install is super easy and easy on my pockets. Can't wait until I master these styles to do myself.
I need this to go viral tbh. Like you deadass showed us how to install AND take down!!! I can't wait to try this. THIS THE ONLY HAIR TUTORIAL THAT MATTERS BRUH!!!
Honestly, this video is phenomenal. From the quality to the descriptiveness, to even the Q&A in the details section. Thank you so so much, wow.
Your are a great UA-cam instructor, very clear and simple. I love this technique.
I'm so excited you showed how to remove without damaging the faux locs just in case you can/want to reuse them, a lot of people don't show you removal in the same video
legit tried to do this last night & it was an epic fail.. you make it look so easy 😩
Victoria Monroe same. And there are no correction videos for people like us lol
I tried this too but the hair wasn’t soft. It also gets hell stuck in the needle
Victoria Monroe lol I'm crying with you as I type. I'm like "but I'm doing everything she is step by step"
Omg I thought I was the only 1 that did not succeed with the look. It was an epic fail but I spent so much time doing it and 5 bags And I don't want to take it out.

bhrandon smith hello! I was wondering how you put your hook through your faux loc without getting it stuck or ruining the loc?
OK. I just HAVE to comment. This video is a God send. I did jumbo braids a couple weeks ago and had to remove them because they were just too heavy on my scalp. Fun fact! If you watch this video with the captions on it says it’s made out of “Pokemon fiber” that made me laugh.
Thank you sooo much for this video! I bought some faux locs and I've been struggling hiding my hair in them. This was sooo helpful:)

Ella Horne me too! She made it look so easy!
You have the best video on UA-cam of how to install these. Thanks for your patience and being so thorough
I tried and failed with this method so it's back to a sew in for me!
Literally after 2 days of doing my hair for the first time I'm crying and celebrating..I will deff do this next time!!!! Ty so much for this technique!!!

lejalamorena I feel you. Also, I don't want to waste anymore locks, but I will try to try again, lol.
The same thing happened to me and my hair wasn’t soft at all.
What brand did you use? I’ll buy one pack to practice on me mannequin first before I invest time plaiting or buying 3 more packs
BEST and EASIEST crochet loc video I’ve seen so far! I’ve been thinking of doing this for my Baecation to Puerto Rico next month and now I’m sold lol. Saves me $200! Thanks girl

Yazzzzzz jazzzzzz come thru with the techniques!! Amazing. You're gonna put Braider's out of business honey lol
Best faux loc video for diy....thank you so much!
i tried and its definitely harder than it looks maybe i'm doing something wrong
RIGHT!! The needle gets stuck in the hollow part
I have been crocheting hair for 20 years; for me, the needle is too time consuming. I use a basic hairpin and loop strait through, takes me approximately 2 hours
Tina Brown do you have a video with steps?
@@arthinwabrown what do you mean by hair pin?
Yeah it’s hard, especially if you have long hair.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YYOOUUUUU!! I had the hardest time finding which hair was the best to do this method, didn't realize it was your method. Goes to show how many UA-camrs don't give you your credit. This is a genius method!! Once again thank you!!
how can i keep the crochet needle closed when doing the locs??? it keeps hooking on other pieces of the hair
Teenage Vibes hkko
That's what I'm dying to know. I've cried 5 separate times and ruined countless locs
Best crochet method EVER. I am trying this in a few days. Super excited!

that's crazy... when I saw her do it I was like OK cute but I've been stalking (Jazzy Nicole) for a min BC of her method. I love both ladies but wrong is wrong and right is right. just give credit where its due! keep ya head up chick...numbers mean nothing to true fans 💝💝💝
who is the person?
Ceelyn ...what does she mean by give credit, etc.? Did this channel/Jazz Nicole copy someone else?
I'm a virgin to the crochet style and have an allergy to doing hair (lol), been wanting some for the longest. However, can't seem to find anyone to do them....Jazz Nicole this clip may have cured my allergies to doing hair!! Thanks for sharing this detailed, easy as well as fly way to rock this style!!
new subie and I'm already hooked 😍
This is the definition of a protective style. Genius.
Ok someone help me on this then; I've done this technique and yet my hair still comes out. My hair had been braided smaller and whatnot but it still pops out. Any suggestions?
hands down the best installation video. I am so grateful to you for showing the removal process
I have a question. What is the advantage of using braids to attach the faux locs vs using twists. I feel like twisting your hair would be faster and easier (my hair is relatively long) but is braiding it more secure or will that make it last longer? I am going to try this method out I am usually bad at doing hair but this seems easy to do thank you!!
+Imani- Tarpeh yes braiding gets it tighter at the root and it lasts longer and is more secure
Oh okay makes sense! thanks :)
When I tried mine with twists first the latch hook just slid right through, but when I braided at least the roots it didn't. That little extra time is definitely worth it. I think JN mentioned it in one of her earlier videos.
Gotcha I will do braids then thanks!!
mind blown... when you pulled your really hair thru the lo. Love it!!!!
Saw this video yesterday , installed them today LMAO
So glad I found this tutorial - got my faux locs (12 inches), crochet hook and I'm on it. Didn't want to make mine too long. Needed this method after having locs for so long, they got thin and starting falling out. Decided to cut my hair and start over, but I found this video instead, so I'm going for it.
Ughhh I still cannot do this without the braid showing at the top. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong 😫
it will show a little at the top. just like mine. if it is a lot, try twisting the faux loc before crocheting it onto the base of the braid, like the video showed. the smaller the crochet hole, the better. it also depends on the locs you use as well.
Jazz Nicole I just tried again making the section smaller and twisting the loc like you said and it looks way better. Girl you just saved me! I was going to take my hair out because I couldn't have shown up to work looking the way I was. lol Thank you so much for the quick reply!
Girl you deserve an AWARD! This video was everything and more! I straight up seen ppl cutting off their own hair trying to remove these.
Yay! I saw this concept elsewhere but didnt want to do it because she had large knots at the base. With your technique I will definitely be trying this!!! Thanks for sharing
Ordered my locs today. I can't wait to try your method. Thanks for sharing your process in very clear details. Your videos are bomb!!
I've been watching your videos for the faux locs, and I swear you liked this one. I think it looks the best out of all the other ones
I love that your hair is not cleanly divided when you do this! Like the perfect squares of hair always make the locs look so unnatural! Yours are so natural and effortless!
thanks for this! the first time I had faux locs installed, my real hair came unwound so quickly. great tips, you look beautiful!
The quickest easiest way to install and remove faux locs. You are amazingly talented and beautiful. Love your channel
That’s the absolute best technique for faux locs everrrrrrr! 😍
THIS IS AMAZING! Literally spent 9 hours last year wrapping goddess locs, and I'm never going back lol. Thanks, girl!
I'm blown away at this amazing technique!!!!!
Omg, looks SOO easy gonna try this next time i do faux locs, the lady that did my first ones last summer, didnt know what she was doing, when i took them out, my hair looked DEAD, it was awful but this method looks like it allows your hair to breath unlike wrapping! Great video tutorial!

THIS WAS GENIUS 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I wanted to try this style but don't know how to corn row or feel like wrapping a bunch faux locs 🤗🤗 Thank you!!!
N
That looks very simple-in theory-, the reality is that I get into all kinds of BOTHER-ATION with my crochet hook and I'm not trying to perform accidental brain surgery on myself, as I am wont to do. However, with that said, your various techniques have helped me install my own crochet locs, so I thank you for that.:-)
You are a blessing. The best and most well-explained video.🙌🏾👑👑👑 thank-you so much
Loved this Video! There are tons of other tutorials out there like this, but they don't explain as well as you do neither do they show the take down. You've inspired me to actually try this out myself!

Great video! I'm definitely gonna try this method. I usually struggle with self installing anything but this looks simple enough for even me to accomplish.
This new technique is amazing ! I could never get the wrapping right for the other technique so this'll be perfect for me. Crochet queen !
This is amazing!!! You've got the best of both worlds: the individual loc look with the ease of crochet lock. I'm definitely going to be trying this in the future
Wow! Gorgeous! This is the first time I've actually seen packed faux locks that looked this good. Your video was awesome!!
wow!!! this is the BEST version I've come across!!
Young lady, thank you so so much. Your method has been the easiest and neatest.
yes thus is how I've been doing mine. I found this to be super easy and it works on most faux loc hair. cuts down on the amount of hair you use as well
This is by far the best method I have ever seen
Okay so lemme just say how happy I am that you did this because I do hair & I use one of your methods for faux locs & it's quite similar to this one but you wrap your hair into the loc. Girrrrrrlllllllll this is going to save me so much time. 😫💕💕
My locs arrived yesterday. So excited to install for my vacation. Great tutorial. Thank you.
Thanks....this was a quick & easy method.....but what I appreciate is You showing how to remove the loc. Thanks Again... I will be trying your method.
Thank you, Jazz. Because of this video I was able to install my own faux locs for the first time! You rock! 👌🏾
Honey, you are the MVP of 2020!!! THANK you so much for your videos!
Your tutorial helped so much. I'll be doing someone's hair this way for the first time so... your way will make it that much easier! Thank you!
YOU ARE A GENIUS, QUEEN!!!!! Your technique is absolutely amazing as it is a great protective style preserving hair, edges, nape, etc. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
