This is yet another inspirational video nurturing the wish to buy a lumatone myself. Only: I never worked with midi controllers. Is there a video how to get started from zero to hero? I am intimidated by not knowing the required setup.
Fascinating. I'd heard Amelia Huff's music before, but the depth yet absolute clarity with which she conveys her thoughs about music making here is a masterclass.
awesome video production - stunning performance as well. the expressive capabilities of the lumatone through harmony are really impressive, but does it possess the ability to be as agile / more agile than the piano in terms of technique?
Amelia has Two Lumatones? What is the advantage of this? Apart from that observation, great video. I'm looking forward to when I will have my own lumatone to play with next year. I think there is a place for mathematics and geekiness in music though. We probably wouldn't have instruments like this and a lot of early low tech instrument innovations without a certain amount of it. It just shouldn't be dominant. It should be the servant rather than the master of intuitive creativity and beauty.
Always stoked to hear more from this astounding artist!
Been looking forward to this! Thanks, Amelia and Lumatone!
Amazing! Thanks!

Sevish has a tutorial on microtonal electronic music that I'll need to rewatch now that I have one myself 😅
sound being feels very apt. The lumatone is so rad.
Is there another one in the background? She has at least two (!) --- wild. (: Thanks for this, very inspiring.
She makes literal magic with those chords
Super compelling instrument and artist! Thank you for this!
Inspiring!
Wow you're good at playing that!
I wish UA-cam had webMIDI (like how it has subtitles, clickable links, and speech bubbles)
Love your top btw
Wow, those really do capture all my attention

yes mam! she in the church of music, the nature of sound, God's wand
barely anyone out there pushing the envelope of music and music theory as much as she does!

Yes and no. Simply, different idiomatic maneuvers are possible.

0:16 lumitone is to music what time Burton is to film
Beautiful.
