  • Making Momigami Paper My Way…..
I love Momigami and just could not ‘knead’the paper for long as it needed to be for it
To soften… so I came up with this. I hope maybe it could help you if you love this type
Of paper and will make it easier for you to make.
NOTE: I did try the cardstock scrapbook paper and it works.. BUT... the only thing you
have to watch for is when you fold the paper to put it in the pan.. it breaks very easily.
If you have a bigger pan where it can lay flat, you may not get a tear where it creases.
I just got one fold that tore, but again, I am ok, I want my torn, etc. It just has of course
a thicker, heavier feel and may need more lotion to soften.

Dee, this technique is just so, so amazing! AND, I love your idea of a quicker way to get the same effect but soaking it in water first. I'm guessing there are many artists out there who have arthritis, or other issues, and just can't do it the other, longer way. Thanks for these beautiful tips!

Hey Lynn. Exactly... I just could not knead the paper that long. So I agree with your comment about others that cannot either. Your so welcome.... ❤❤

This is a very interesting idea! I've tried momigami with oil, but it was not my favorite solution. I'll for sure I'll try the hand lotion as you suggest! GREAT JOB, DEE! Not to mention how excited I was to see you take away the paper from the album! YAY!!! 😄

@@ArteoMixedMediaArt Thank you so much for watching and always so supportive. I was not a fan of oil either. HA.. see I can use up stuff.. well most stuff. But it was very exhilarating to tear from that brand new paper pad, I must say so myself. ❤️
