Whaaaatt?!? I'm a long time paper crafter and how have I never heard of this??! This is amazing and thank you for sharing! I'm a new subbie to your channel and I really appreciate how quick and precise your content is. You get straight to the point and all your instructions are very clear. Your hard efforts are definitely recognized and appreciated *Ü*
I did a similar technique in first grade, back in the sixties. We made leatherlike Native American dresses and pants. It was a wonderful learning experience even it wasn't quite the same as the real thing.
This makes me think of the newspaper we used as toilet paper on the farm. Without olive oil we would scrunch up the newspaper to make it use able. Everything wad black when you were done. Lol. Thank the good lord we no longer have to live this way. This was more than 50 years ago.
Now I know what to do with the set of Encyclopedia Britannica! I refer to it as my husband’s dowry when we got married. Before I meet him, when he was in college in the 70’s, he saved up to buy them. A great investment that we used a lot with the kids. But now I can’t bear to get rid of them. Thank you!!
Hi Grandma Deidre! You never cease to amaze me - always finding something new to teach me! I hope you're enjoying your summer with your family. I'm sure you are! Sending love from northeastern North Carolina. ❤
WOW i have to try olive oil I've never been able from what other artist do. Today's Quote: Be kind to yourself, it's the the best medicine to heal and grow." Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞
No heat element while drying like with coffee dyed papers in oven to assure paper doesn't mold ? I've never used food type products on my papers b4. Have covered them in glue, mod podge type items b4 tho. Thank you for sharing this great technique

I have not done that, but I think it would be suitable

Would baby oil work? The only oils we use here are tallow, bacon fat, butter and lard and I don’t want them so smell that yummy lol.
Yes it probably will !
@@OurUpcycledLife awesome thank you, I’ll try this out today!
I was thinking the same thing that's all I have in my house as well.
When I was a kid we did this to make homemade toilet paper 😂🗞️ when we ran out of tp 😀👍
Yikes! I bet it worked ok though 😊
If you use it as a placemat, can you wipe it off?
Damp cloth would work
Can you make clothes from it?
Not washable
