Hi Dave, yes, it passes under the A2 and the Manx Electric Railway that's just along side the road round that corner, then the tunnel carries along a bit further until it exits just beside an industrial looking building on the outside of the bend. After that the track runs along beside the river, finishing at a footpath leading up towards the Laxey Wheel.
@@GrumpyTim Thank for the info. The good lady & I called there in 2016 but the railway wasn't running so could not see how far the line ran. We had called in the to look at the Lady Eyelyn. Do you know if the railway will ever reach the tunnel into the mine that is just to the east of the Laxey Wheel. Many years ago they would take you into the tunnel on foot. The tunnel did not go in that far until a flooded winze which halted further progress.
Hi Dave, I went into that tunnel (or adit) many years ago, on my first visit to the island, well before the mine railway re opened. I'm not sure if the mine railway could get that far now or if there's some other obstruction in the way. If I remember correctly, the mine railway only runs on a Saturday, during the warmer months of the year so you need to plan your trip around that - it's well worth a visit if you can schedule to be in Laxey on a Saturday. It's run by a really nice bunch of volunteers who've done a great job making it all happen.

Tiny little engines those.
They're really cute engines. It's a bit scary the way the driver has to duck just before he enters the tunnel, otherwise he'd lose his head!
@@GrumpyTim Perhaps they should hire shorter drivers. ;)
@@BensWorkshop They're a great bunch of volunteers who run the Laxey Mine Railway, well worth a visit if you ever get the chance to go to IOM.
