My go-to value meal is the Classic Combo at Taco Bell. It’s usually fairly hidden on their menu but it’s $5 and you get a lot of food. It comes with a Beefy 5 layer burrito, a taco, cinnamon twists or you can swap for chips and cheese, and a large drink.

Here's some Dairy Queen lore nobody asked for: So there's a story behind why Dairy Queen flips their Blizzards. Samuel Temperato, the DQ franchise owner who came up with the idea for Blizzards, was inspired by the frozen treats sold by Ted Drewes, a St. Louis shop owner who termed them “concrete”. In 1959, Steve Gamber, then 14, would stop by Drewes’ Chippewa Street location for a sandwich and chocolate malt, asking Drewes to make it thicker and thicker each time. Drewes had enough and one day flipped the malt upside down to show its thickness, assuring his young customer that if it fell out, it was free. Temperato picked this up for Dairy Queen!

Arby's was founded in Boardman, Ohio, on July 23, 1964, by brothers Forrest and Leroy Raffel, owners of a restaurant equipment business who thought there was a market opportunity for a fast-food franchise based on a dish other than hamburgers. Originally, they wanted to name it Big Tex, but opted for Arby's based on the initials of the Raffel Brothers, RB. They initially served only roast beef sandwiches, chips, and soft drinks, but of course this would change once Arby's started to grow (starting with fifty a year in the 70s). Arby's now has more than three thousand restaurants and can be found from Canada to South Korea and even Turkey! The world's largest one is located in Colonial Heights, Virginia, resembling a roadside rest stop.
Back in the early 90s, Taco Bell had a 59 cent, 79 cent, 99 cent value menu. Used to love the 79 cent tostadas! Keep up the awesome videos, just recently found your channel and subscribed.
Best cheap deal is the Wendy's Hamburger with added vegetables through the app. You can get mayo added as well. It's 1.39 but you can't order it when it's busy around here.
When I was a kid, Arby’s was definitely my favorite fast food! But we were only allowed to get the sandwiches we had coupons for cuz it was kinda pricey and my parents were cheap. 😆
Any chicken place with a 2 piece dark deal will usually let you get 2 thighs for the same price, which is a decent amount more food wise. Also, fries are food
Around 1990 when I was in college you could get a whole meal for $3 at BK- some kind of burger, fries drink and maybe even a cookie or some desert item- what a deal lol. Good that they are still the best value! Great video!!❤
Hey, die hard Arby's fan here with my 2 cents: I know they always advertise their beef & cheddar or just the beef burgers they serve in general... BUT the best things on their menu to me are the standard sandwiches (like the Montreals, I LOVE the Roast Turkey & Swiss) that w curly fries and a shake or drink is always the best combo. But they don't advertise them ever so no one really knows about them, they don't even list them as part of the menu on their American site but do include them on the Canada site. I feel like I'm eating an actual sandwich and not fast food. This doesn't relate to the video whatsoever, obviously the sammies are still not the cheapest option, but if anyone is ever wondering why Arby's is still in business I just wanted to give that recommendation (don't forget the curly fries)

I agree, fast food in my opinion should be things you can get for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Not somewhere you just get coffee or ice cream. Because fast food was produced mostly for people who were travelling for long hours and days. Whether that be a road trip, vacation, work, or truck driving.
Funny story, the only Arby’s I ever ate at was somewhere in along the road between Washington and Arizona. It was the sole building in the middle of a gravel parking lot. Literally just gravel and Arby’s and nothing else. Surreal experience to say the least, curly fries were ok.
The proper definition is that the food is ready and waiting under a heatlamp BEFORE you order it. Most restaurants now do final assembly while you wait, be it in the lobby, or creeping up the drivethru line.
Idk about your guys wendys, but my wendys had an offer called 444, 4 for 4. I love the Rhett and link reference
taco bell will always be my fav for value, that spicy potato soft taco is so damn good
You deserve so much more subscribers! I seen you on the news btw :)
Thank you so much!! It's been fun to see the Taco Bell story getting some publicity.
Your channel is growing pretty fast! Hopefully u get 100k
You should do this again to compare prices.
Love this dudes voice, subscribed after one video!
I know I’m late to the party on this video, but if it were cheap combos, the Wendy’s 4 for 4 or 5 for 5.55 would’ve killed!
Haven't done Hardee's since 2015, when I on vacation somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic region. My home state of Connecticut is one of the few that does not have a Hardee's nor Carl Jr.'s. If I recall, the food was decent and it was actually brought out to me.
Fast food restaurant of choice is usually BK and they have a decent value menu.
Taco Bell being out of Baja blast is like McDonald’s saying we’re out of hamburgers
This man ate a Popeyes biscuit without a drink and lived to tell the tale.
I love the cheesey bean and rice burrito, my favorite taco bell item!!!
Great episode!! Excited for season 4!!
Appreciate you Josh!!!
BK was my go to when I was in school.
you can get a burger and a drink for cheap then come back after the survey and get a free whopper with a small purchase.
very cost effective.
Your charitable act made me subscribe. That shit is so dope ❤️🔥
Can you do one of those "starting from penny" videos? I feel like the way your videos are organized would fit really well with that video.Just a thought ;)
I’m from Singapore, and this morning I ordered a normal coffee with milk from McDonald’s for 3 dollars because I just needed a quick caffeine fix.
I felt like a fool. Should have just topped up another 2 dollars for the 5 dollars breakfast meal 🫠
Taco Bell’s value is tough to beat, that $2 grilled chicken burrito is my go to
Federal minimum wage is 7.25. It would be interesting to see the best value you can get with that being the limit.
Taco bell's $5 cravings box
Wendy's 4-for-$4
Burger King's "Your way meal" for $5
KFC Chicken Little combo at $7
etc
I agree, fast food in my opinion should be things you can get for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Not somewhere you just get coffee or ice cream. Because fast food was produced mostly for people who were travelling for long hours and days. Whether that be a road trip, vacation, work, or truck driving.
The 5 buck lunch from DQ is elite
Funny story, the only Arby’s I ever ate at was somewhere in along the road between Washington and Arizona. It was the sole building in the middle of a gravel parking lot. Literally just gravel and Arby’s and nothing else. Surreal experience to say the least, curly fries were ok.
Nice The Office reference, Burlington Coat Factory!!
The proper definition is that the food is ready and waiting under a heatlamp BEFORE you order it. Most restaurants now do final assembly while you wait, be it in the lobby, or creeping up the drivethru line.
I feel like Bojangles fits that definition to a T!
Not sure if anyone mentioned. But what’s cool about the chicken little is you can have them but bbq sauce or any sauce they have available
Idk about your guys wendys, but my wendys had an offer called 444, 4 for 4. You get a small burger or chicken sandwich, fries, a drink, and 4 pc nuggets for like 4 dollars and change. honestly one of the best ever fast food deals. Only beaten by burger kings 5 for 4. Everything wendys gave out except + a cookie
Yes!!! Agreed. I need to do another video on combo meals - for this one I tried to just to the cheapest single item which caused me to miss out on deals like the 4 for 4. I hadn't heard of the BK 5 for 4, but that sounds amazing!
