And those who went through two Chechen campaigns, Georgian, Syrian and those who fought in the east of Ukraina since 2014. Now there are mobilized people who cannot have such skills. Well, the "running out of ammo" scenario was used to demand the payment they were promised by Putin and which of course Putin has a hard time to get together given the dire financial situation of Russia. Prighozhin was paid and is now leaving the field, since he and his troops have earned enough to stop risking their previously meaningless lives. Now they can buy some vodka and relax a little...I doubt they will be able to find sleep though.

There have been reported cases of russians having to resort to buying military equipment from fkin north korea. Of all places.... World relations are gone as everyone views them as warmongering. It really does look and feel like something big is starting to develop now. The border lines of fighting and the front lines are becoming a lot more blurred and it seems that the counteroffensive is even more mysterious than we might’ve even expected. Perhaps what we are seeing here, really could be the first steps of what might later evolve to be a revolution again within Russia after all. Let us hope so.

And then the usual “discovery by naive invaders”: It takes a lot more to occupy something you have military captured, than it takes to capture it. And Pigozhin’s war criminal mercenaries-at least those who weren’t used as fodder-aren’t interested in “occupying”. They prefer to be aggressors.

Can someone please explain why Prigozhin feels the need to share his thoughts with the world which are counter to his bosses authority? Like, what's the purpose? All I can say is, stay away from windows Yevgeny.
My guess as to why Prigozhin is still alive is because Putin's army grows weaker by the day and Prigozhin's Wagner forces are still very powerful and also have their hands in Putin's assets across the world especially in Africa. If He was to try and kill Prigozhin that could spark a rebellion on the frontlines and could also result in Wagner blockading any of Russia's assets overseas from heading to Russia. Also maybe Putin still needs Prigozhin because he is the only one that is effective in the war at the time and with resources stretched thin Putin cant afford to do anything. His war is fragile at the moment and if say 1,000 men were to enter open rebellion then war in Ukraine would collapse.
He's just a figurehead in wagner. They brought him in just for this purpose ie so he could do crazy things and say crazy things which enable Russian leadership to sell more tough decisions to the Russian public. It's added bonus is it gets NATO to deploy it's weapons in Ukraine in a trickle which Russian grinds down in manageable chunks over a period of time.
Already most of the soviet aircraft, Airdefence systems and tanks available to Nato countries have been destroyed.
155 mm ammunition is out. Significant number of antitank missiles are brought down needing years to replace the reserve levels. Now it's turn of European tanks and spare f16, long range missiles etc.
This war is slowly sucking the reserve capacity of NATO into the the Russian grinder setup in Ukraine.
