HI George, how can I send you an email. I want to invite you to become one of the judges in an amateur aquascaping contest I am organizing in Saudi Arabia. I will email you also the confirmed judges so far and the contest details. Thanks, Yusuf
Looks brilliant George. Is there a video of when you originally scaped the Styline 85? Can't seem to find one. I like to see how things are planted and spaced. This is one I would love to emulate!
These videos are always so tranquil, and the commentary matching it is incredibly helpful. I had to get rid of my aquariums years ago because of my disability. Watching videos like these really allows me to enjoy a hobby I haven’t been able to be apart of for some time. I’m in the process of cycling a 20 gallon tall, hopeful it’s small but stable enough for my health to handle. I am excited to try and aquascape an aquarium again, as I was never able to finish my original ones.
George (and anyone else who wants to share), what do you use to clean your hoses? I'm having trouble finding a product that works (for 12/16mm and 16/22mm hoses). Also, blackwater biotope would be very cool...I love the idea of any biotope with "artistic sensibilities". For me. that's part of the essence of aquascaping: recreating a piece of nature in your living area that is both beautiful and peaceful to look at and also constantly teaches us lessons about nature.
Beauties. I love both of those scapes. And I particularly love the shot at the end with both scapes on the left of the frame and the cichlids on the right of the frame. Thank you for sharing! Cheeri-O! - Little Bobby
Love the job you did on the framed tanks, I would be swayed. Hate heating and evaporation for sure, expensive in our Covid situation for sure Bud. Do a moss and driftwood George, love to see you do one. Got your book finally here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. A deal for the content, excellent job. Hope I can meet you and get it signed some day. Keep on scaping, love your rants. God Bless and Merry Christmas to Emma, the Kids, and you. Cheers from Canada!!! Thank you for your time and passion, a prosperous New Year!
Hi George, I’d like to propose an idea for one of your next projects / video contents: Create an aquascape (with or without plants) for Oscar fishes. 🐟 I guess that would be quite a challenge but certainly an interesting video to watch and follow up. Especially if you manage to create a tank with some plants or if you find any other way to create an "eye-appealing underwater world” that’s not gonna be destroyed by these fishes. Cheers!

I trust whatever you do it will be amazing. I am impressed Oase got you to be their ambassador big feather in their cap but well deserved, I got the filtosmart thermo 200 on my 20 gallon and it is really a brilliant product.
This confused me too. George always plugged Evolution Aqua and rimless tanks, and even helped develop theirs, almost pioneering that way. Now with so many scapers taking that forward, it’s like he’s gone full circle to closed tops whilst saying he still prefers open. To me it seems only because Oasé asked him to :/

That's at least based on the sale price at some place called Pond Planet. I really hope Oase starts importing them. It's a way better deal than any of the kits at something like Petco.
I recently started using tropica advanced. I found i have to double dose to get the pearling i was getting with my previous fert. But I've also noticed the growth although slower looks healthier in some way.
They both look great but I prefer the small one with the traingular set up and the compact plants. The brief glimpse of the Discus tank shows that it is 'sorted out' now and looking great. Great news they are spwaning! I thought I saw a shower of pink eggs released in your Cichlid tank when it was just in the edge of your shot towards the end of the video??? Maybe just bubbles?
A very enjoyable video George, i personally would like to see you try a Dutch style scape next , PS: nice to see Emma in this vid , corner reflection 👋👋
What do you think of under gravel filters? Really like your tanks. Look great. I had a tropical fish store in Liverpool, England. called Aqua Hobby Ltd. Ordered 12 boxes of fish from Grace Aquarium, in Bangkok. Don't know if they are still in business. Hard to find a good supplier that will treat you right. Never used CO2. When I came to U.K. They only had tanks made from angle iron. I had all my tanks made of stainless steel. Cost me a buddle. Keep up the good work. A well-planted tank is worth the effort. Miss those days.
Lovely and informative, thanks George. Is the 20 gallon not a bit undersized to let you make the "street strategy" for a Dutch style tank actually work? Also, surely the lighting is too low for red plants in your smaller tank? The 30 gallon tank has more length and more light, perhaps ideal for a Dutch mini-scape. George, do let us know where you get you big CO2 bottles from and more usefully who you get to fill them. By the way black works really well with green plants, old gardener's trick to paint an ugly wall black and then plant green foliage. In my experience a black background also reduces algae growth in middle and lower tiers of the tank and creates a great aesthetic ref. the fish, and, seems to put jittery fish at greater ease. Much appreciated video and keep talking to the dog, they hardly understand but love it anyway!
Hi George Love your work, new to scaping you inspired me to start scaping.... I've got a small problem with my 60p with snails same as the ones you got in Styleline 85... Need to get rid of it since Its multiplying rapidly and I don't like it at all... Please in need of advice... Thanks
Just found your channel, amazing scapes, great inspiration. Been into planted tanks for about a year now. What do you recommend for getting plants in the winter season? I live in the states and it's snowing here. :)
Hello, Do you think it would be possible to lower the hight/ thickness of the aquarium Gallerie/lid. They are still very high, but led would make it possible to have super thin galleries (5cm or less) . With transparent too covers it would provide much of the ambiance and esthetic of open tanks but with the advantages of closed ones :) Hope I am not bothering too much with my ideas 🤪
Hello George the 75 is amazing, so mysterious and atmospheric layout . Would you be able to do that without co2 ? I mean most of the plants are low demanding plants
Hey George, interesting video, love the scap in the smallest tank. Do you know if easycarbo or excel can harm Bolbitis and Java fern? Everytimes I put new plants in they go brown. I have co2 and a chihiros light, before I had no co2 and 2 11w lamps on a Lido 200. U just got 2 new bolbitis 4 weeks ago and they are going brown like before.
What is the water hardness in them? If you up the light intensity to high light in the 20 gallon tank, how much fertilizer would you increase to? And loving both tanks!
Hi George! I am Italian, and I have a little difficulty understanding everything you are saying well.... I wanted to know if behind the oase 85 you painted the glass black, or if you simply applied a black matte film.... thanks. I have a styleline 125 with white film on the back, and I am about to purchase another oase 85, so your channel for me is very interesting!
Hello Georges, about shutting off and on the CO2, what's your point about this ? I've seen many different times to shut it off and on around the web. Beautiful tanks btw, nice job. Thanks alot for your videos, keep up the great job. Cheers from Belgium !
Hey George, coincidentally I’m running the exact same set up to you for the white styleline 75 and the filtosmart thermo, so your vids have been really helpful. My third tank now but my first invested aquascape. Can’t decide on how much to invest on a co2 system though
Would be nice to have seen ya do the 125L with just the stuff it came with 2x12W lights and no CO2. In my experience carpet and high to middle light plants aint growing without CO2. I know it's possible because i had a 2ft cube tank and cleaned and give it liquid feed religiously and it had nice lush plants and moss. Then on the other hand i had the 35L Dennerle scapers tank with Fluval Plant 3.0 Nano and carpeting plants just did not want to carpet.
George will you recommend a magnet glass cleaner that isn't soo difficult to MOVE... some magnets are soo strong it's difficult to move them.. Thank you
Hello George , I am sorry for asking here a somehow random question but I do not really know where to reach you. What do you suggest under sand for a low tech amazonian biotope oriented tank? Would you make a combination of different layers or you would just use nutrition tablets? Thank you in advance for your useful feedback
I would love to see you do a proper Dutch style layout with the 85, no hardscape, just purely plants really uniformed, probably quite unnatural looking TBH, but extremely colourful
What is the Oase Styleline 175 Like I have a 3 ft Fluval at the moment looking to down size just got fish in what is the LTR of it and is the heater in the external pump
Hey George! Love your stuff :D What do you think about old(I guess they don't sell em anymore) fullframed tanks? I have two of them, mostly for nostalgic reasons :)
Love the blackwater bitotpe- idea!! Please do go for it!! ....... Dutch style in contrary, is something I never could get myself to like. Super boring (plus I think the bigger one of your 2 shown tanks already looks a bit like Dutch Style although it ist not..)......sorry!! BUT maybe if YOU do it, i can be drawn to it. :-D
I love my StyleLine tank, although I found the internal filter problematic and an eyesore. I’m much happier with the Biomaster 350 I replaced it with. Of course, it’s a matter of taste but I much prefer these covered tanks. If they made them with low iron glass they would be even better but inevitably more expensive and they are a bargain at the price the kit comes out at.
I have a styleline 125 tank and a new biomaster delivery this week. So the house clamps that go above the tank prevent the sliding lids from closing? Or did you have to modify with lily pipes? I’m new to external filters and any tips are welcome!
hi George great video i just want to ask i am using co2 in my fluval 125LT and in my nano tank the co2 i am using JBL bio 160 on the 125 and the bio 80 on my nano tank but its only basic yeast and activator would it cause any problems as i cant turn them off at night i am using fluval stratum as my substrate is there any way i could send some pics of my tanks so you can tell me if i should take some plants out or leave them in as my scapes dont have the wow factor nice tanks George love them all just wish mine was as good as them cheers
So long as you don't exceed 30 ppm you are fine with 24 hour CO2 supply, in fact, the solenoid on a timer or a pH controller can actually cause CO2 fluctuations which are not helpful. Watch out for gasping fish before your lights come on, some people put an air stone on a timer for a couple of hours before the lights come on, but I have used 24 hour CO2 - Yeast fed and Pressurised Bottle - without problems, though with the latter obviously a lower bubble count per hour than if using only when the lights are on. By the way, it is easy and cheap to make your own yeast system and certainly much cheaper to mix-up yeast and sugar than buy branded items. Good luck.

Then on the other hand i had the 35L Dennerle scapers tank with Fluval Plant 3.0 Nano and carpeting plants just did not want to carpet.
chilli rasboras + some wild betta cocina maybe for the black water aquarium
Thanks for this video bro i have learnt alot
George will you recommend a magnet glass cleaner that isn't soo difficult to MOVE... some magnets are soo strong it's difficult to move them.. Thank you
Go the route that the guys at Green Aqua did and convert one to a terrarium with misting system and dart frogs.
Wowww i love it!!!!
Amazon style scape for 125 and Dutch style for 85 maybe !
Did you upgrade to the oase 250 filter. I’m currently deciding my setup for a styleline 85
Hello George ,
I am sorry for asking here a somehow random question but I do not really know where to reach you.
Do you use hardwater? Softwater? Or RO water?
What is the Oase Styleline 175 Like I have a 3 ft Fluval at the moment looking to down size just got fish in what is the LTR of it and is the heater in the external pump
Are these StyleLine tanks clear glass ?
Hey George! Love your stuff :D What do you think about old(I guess they don't sell em anymore) fullframed tanks? I have two of them, mostly for nostalgic reasons :)
Love them! Old school 😃
where do you obtain black hose?
Please do apistogrammas with the black water tank
Some cpd’s would be cool for the 85
Love the blackwater bitotpe- idea!!
I tried the MCT oil in my bubble counter, it just gets pushed out through the line just like water does when the CO2 comes on.
A Blackwater Aquarium is a awesome idea!!😊👍
I Love it and Great.
I like the White Aquarium more.😊
hi George great video i just want to ask i am using co2 in my fluval 125LT and in my nano tank the co2 i am using JBL bio 160 on the 125 and the bio 80 on my nano tank but its only basic yeast and activator would it cause any problems as i cant turn them off at night i am using fluval stratum as my substrate is there any way i could send some pics of my tanks so you can tell me if i should take some plants out or leave them in as my scapes dont have the wow factor nice tanks George love them all just wish mine was as good as them cheers
Good luck.
