Do not update to hyper os update after purchasing and then you are good to go using that smoothness again
Did you try resetting the device? It should work better with a factory reset since the whole Android version was upgraded.

@@TheZoog15 there were some new updates released by Xiaomi that I installed but the device still has some performance issues...
I personally think it's because I have the base (6gb) variant that is the reason for these lags and animation stutters

@@sanskargatla3263 i just bought the matepad 11.5 with keyboard/pen for £199 instead as if i went for pad 6 i would need to get the pen and keyboar costing up to £350

xiaomi probably rushed this update, i dont think theres any such issues you experienced on this pad 6 compared to another hyperos equipped xiaomi phone
Don't be a Mi ka 14, problems are genuine. I faced same issue then i rolled back to miui 14.0.7😂
I picked samsung S9 fe+ due to this issues and no promise or news from mi on this fix
Hyperos for phone are having more features than the pad os..

I like the three dot feature but it always stays which kind of annoys me when viewing content in full screen..... waiting since the first update....yet no fixing of this...issue
Disable hyperos optimigations and those dots will disappear
I face exactly the same, i should have never updated the OS to hyperOS, did you report this in Reddit inside the Mi Pad 6 group?
Did you also do a factory reset after the upgrade to HyperOS? I did not, i see other people reporting they did a factory reset after the in place upgrade to HyperOS.
after factory reset there issue solved? and are you using eu version or global version?
3:45 my pad 5 on hyperos no longer has the additional lines to pop up the dock but you can still swipe up on the sides to pop it up without closing the app or going to recents. Theh just hid the lines on both sides.

Agreed, issues I have also seen in hyperos on pad 6.
I don't have problem with how the UI looks, but the new UI is glitchy and laggy on some apps like youtube

Ive just had this one problem, i cant change my wallpapers and im not much of a fan of the system wallpapers, i want to customize my Xiaomi pad 6, also ik u can change the lock screen wallpaper but what about the home screen wallpaper? That annoys me alot
Bruh, I'm just about to flash my pad 6 to its original firmware which is global hyperos, seems I'm going to stay with china hyperos since I didn't encounter any of the problems you mentioned in china hyperos even the animation just smooth.
Maybe disable ram extension. Sometimes it would lead to worse storage handling and maybe worse performance?
It’s not that. My MiPad6 is also stuttering since HyperOS.
Mine got really better after disabling it.

KMN, I just bought mine today and already started to notice lags when closing apps and changing wallpapers. 🙃 My parents are going to kill me if this doesn't last me until I graduate

In my tab after my Bluetooth when not in use keeping switch on and off automatically.. after searching i find it is an old problem of Xiaomi device.. Damn this is my last Xiaomi device. Problem is small but cause too much irritation. I tried every solution available on internet but it isn't solving.

In my case I decided to go back to MIUI 14. The tablet was very laggy and now the experience is much better

Yes, you just have to unlock the bootloader with the Xiaomi unlocker tool, there are some tutorials on yt, and then, you have to flash the original MIUI 14 ROM with the official Xiaomi tool too. I followed two tutorials to achieve it but I think if I pin them here yt will delete this comment hahaha
To add more info. in the the step of unlocking the bootloader don’t worry if there’s not a specific turorial for pad 6. The method is the same on any Xiaomi device. And for the step for flashing the official rom, search a video of the channel “the verax tv” named XIAOMI PAD 6: REVERT BACK TO STOCK FROM ANY CUSTOM ROM. The video that is 3 months ago, not the older one. There the guy flashes an original ROM to to back to MIUI 14

theres also an issue with the sound system when using apple music, it would go too quiet after somehow hitting a limiter

Xiaomi ruined my redmi note 11 with hyper os idle battery drain is way more thn miui 14 it drains 30-50% battery over night on hyper os

Its butter smooth
Im glad I didn’t buyed mine pad 6 at first i want to buy but i got ipad 10th gen for the same price range of mi pad 6 ofc mine is 64gb storage but its really worth after seeing mi pad 6 optimization of ios was very beast and this ipad is more powerfull than mi pad 6

Recent update seems pretty stable, a lot smoother and consistent. Though I still don't like that whitecast block that you see whenever you try shifting an app to a floating window, it's a bit laggy and glitchy sometimes, probably 8/10

Luckily I was able to downgrade back to miui 14 on my pad 6. HyperOS felt weird and slow.

The only way to fix this tablet is by installing a custom rom instead of staying in HyperOS

I've made a great mistake buying this piece of shit. The screen is freezing constantly and from 2 days just not responding at all.
But mine working fine with hyper os ,8gb ram 256gb storage

thing is....why would you open so much tabs and tabs in tabs? This pad is made for simple things like taking notes or doing research, not high capacity workload. It simply will just lag and crash
that's why people pay premium for ipads
