I've noticed that my DiabloSport Tuner really puts a little strain on my Challenger's battery but luckily my remote starter has an app that monitors my battery voltage meter so I can usually start it up and recharge it so it's good for a few weeks when I'm not driving it.
That is true. You cannot plug in anythig to the OBD port as in SRT it keeps monitoring or running the module, even when the car is turned off. Glad you got through it. A big pain especially in the winter.
You are a lifesaver! My 2015 Dodge Challenger began having issues with the climate and radio dials not responding, so I started using the touch screen for adjustment, the touch screen went out as well and the car appeared as if the electrical components weren’t fully turning off even after the ignition was off and door was ajar, which resulted in what seemed to be a dead battery and a vehicle that would not power on or start. I let the vehicle sit like that for a few days dreading the funds that may have to go into the repair and time spent on the phone with roadside if a tow was needed and opted to use my second vehicle. After watching your video I was mentally prepared to take on the task of figuring this ish out. Using the vallet key I unlocked the door, located/removed the Verizon HUM device, hooked up some jumper cables to the connections under the hood and a portable batter and waalaa! It started up like a champ, touch screen is fully functioning again and this chick is ready to hit the road. Thanks sooo much for sharing!
Glad that everything was fine, they offered me to get that to for my car but I didn't, I know that weill drain your battery for that just pay the uconnect and download the app you will have the same information.
did your battery light on the dashboard come on? Mine didn't. I have something like that in my 2016 392 Challenger. but i've had it in there for a few years and never had this issue.
I did the same thing but I'm on alternator #2 as soon as I put it in dropped it to 11.1 volts seems now it's messing with traction control jumped on it a bit at 60 mph 90° sideways in pane come into driveway smart breaking antilock off no analog or digital speedo ect luckily my 1st car was a light 65 futura fastback coupe falcon with a 351 Windsor 428 valves solid rocker fuel 660 4brl non handling 2-gear 140 mph wheelie popper . Did a parasitic drain test on set drawing 131 amps at one time no idea on electronic stuff machinist not electronics personal 'WHAT WAS FIX"?
Front and back cameras in in cigarette lighter killed battery while away for weekend; -happened before but charged ok---;;. Battery wont even charge past 6 v with a hi powered charger >>.... charging - pos and neg terminals in trunk ... when i hit hi power boost the car feeks out and lights go on and of in loud severely weird sequence--try to start ...then nothing,,, *DEAD* any help guys?? 2018 392 scat pack.
Hey brother gray video my son got a 2019 charger and installed under glow lights would that cause to kill the battery also do u know how to open ur trunk if the battery dies u have an emergency key on your remote didn’t know if u knew that or not
You got to be kidding my I just replaced my battery challenger everything is good but my battery keeps dying I have this in my car cause I work at T-Mobile I’m a be up so upset if this is what it is
I understand u got that t mobile device for emergencies and for tracking. But doesn't your challenger come with sos emergency buttons on your rear view mirror that work even if ur in a location with no wifi?
It does but this device provides tracking so if the car is ever stolen, or I valet it somewhere I can see exactly its location. Also has towing and disturbance alerts incase someone hits the car or something while Im not there. Its just good peace of mind since the car does attract a lot of attention.
Rush SRT oh. Well how about dash cameras? And i have 2 questions for you. How is the harman kardon 18 speaker set? Because i dont really here ppl talking about it? And can you play ice cube's 2017 "only one me"? I think not only it's perfect for that speaker system, but you'll really like the record. It goes really hard btw. Rush SRT oh then be careful - this song is full of bass but it's not overbearing. If that bass is that sick, then I want my charger/challenger with that exact sound system. I think because of the small space inside and the overkill of speakers, the bass will literally vibrate your heart, but I'm in for that crap. Thanks
Not to be a smarta$$ but, if you look at the black plastic cover in front of the stud, it shows a battery jump icon and arrows. Glad it was something small causing the problem.
I got a question on the srt 392... has anyone had problems with their pcm? And what are the bad symptoms??any clues ideas of wat it does will gladly be appreciated.. or the body control module? The reason im asking is because my 15 chally srt 392 is getting random lights on dashboard and sometimes i wont start till after a few attempts.. also if pcm is going bad will unlocking it from hp tuners help??thanks in advance.. no rude comments please i just need help guiding my self with the issue..
So you didn't t know cars with batteries in the trunk still have terminals up front? Tell you what: take that ball cap off and you will instantly gain about 15 points of IQ!

At this time im dealing with challenger with 80k miles which has all kinds of Electrical issue: Ac/ heater controls Headlight plugs get moisture and hd to replace them Sunroof wont close back Windshield wipers motor down Heated seats down Remote start dint works Etc, etc. etc.
I learn more from a person like you than a manual. I’m hands on guy.

You should try OBD11 via Bluetooth will give you the same data and won’t drain your battery. Make a track day / drag strip video!

I installed underglow and now my battery dying 😆. No more cosmetics for me
