Every positive amendments like roti, poori, பஞ்சாபி items may not disturb the qualification if anf only if two things are avoided:
1. The presence of Onion, Garlic, Mushrooms based items etc are sufficient to disqualify the said Title : and
2. Buffet Type is nor a constraint, but eating in a standing posture does not fit in the description of " Typical Iyengar" function. You may call me an early 20 th century man.
But, your title made me think deeply.
@@Krishthemaster curd vadai ( தயிர் வடை) is very much part of Iyengar menu. But, as you said correctly, it is not restricted to Iyengar menu. And, actually, when carrot is a constituent in the curd, it can never be called iyengar menu, leave alone Typical iyengar menu.

Seyarkai niramoottigal is there I understand, but not sure about iyarkai niramootigal. I may be incorrect. BTW, Stone icecream - recent times this has become popular with few parlor chains like Cream & Stone.....I think a few others are there. Nice to see in Marriage receiption Dinner though
Sir generally most people use Ready made soup powder along for prepation . We use only fresh vegetables for soup. Even Tomotoes used to sell ₹100+ we use only fresh vegetables because of commitement given to customer.

I love your shows particularly those that feature vegetarian restaurants and dishes. BTW, the common mistake Indians do is to use "marriage" incorrectly. What you went to was a "wedding" reception and not a "marriage" reception. A "wedding" is an occasion or ceremony or celebration whereas "marriage" is an institution. We go to a 'wedding", not to a "marriage".
