Sold my 07 Streetglide 3 yrs ago and bought a 97 Bad Boy springer. Had a Baker 6 put in. Has a S&S carb, rode from SC to AZ, NM,, UT, CO and back by myself this past Sept. 5648 miles. Rode to just under 11,000 ft altitude, never needed to adjust carb, ran great. If the carb is.set up by someone who knows what they’re doing, no problem. Did have to adjust air in tires though when I gained alt and later dropped alt. Love your videos, real and down to earth!
I've been following along and she's coming together nicely. I'm also breaking in a 2002 softail that I bored out but It's winter here in Indiana now so I'm just surviving by watching people like you who are living inside my tablet. Lamb turned out great!!!
I stopped buying new HD's with the Evo's. I do all my own work and I didn't want to invest in the specialty tools needed to work on twin cams. I have a '94 Road king I bought new and its never had the rocker boxes off. 76K on the speedo and its getting new lifters and top end preventative maintenance this fall. I've had other Evo's that I spank hard and they take the punishment. The mid 90's era touring chassis bikes with carburetors are relatively cheap on the market and have lots of potential. Your '96 looks nice. Nice to see one with original paint.
I've been considering picking up a EVO bike to add to the stable myself for a project also! Good video! I would be interested on a total cost breakdown on yours!
waiting to get my O5 U.C back. I had a big bore kit installed right after I bought it new. 90,000 miles later, having it bored and stroked with S&S geared 510 cans and S&S balanced crank. I get my 3rd go around of 500 miles.🤣
Thanks for posting. Really wish there were some riding videos before I would have taken the plunge on my V96 in my ‘91 Ultra. With a shifter bearing fix I got out for $7500. I did go with the Super E carb/2 year warranty. I would like to know the power and vibration difference between the 80 and 96. The S&S is a blast. Always puts a smile on my face.
You want to have the idle RPMs at 1000 on that S&S. A tachometer is a nice addition. You might also try the Mukini smooth bore carb. Are you really a cop? If so, a thousand thumbs up and thank yous.
Sounding good mang!! It does suck to take it easy but it’s almost that much more rewarding when it’s broken in and dialed in to romp it...all the way up to the posted speed limit of course hahahaaa.
I thought about going that route myself I have a 99 Softail Custom with FL style front and rear fenders. Old school Drag Pipes and tired out 80 inch motor. I would however like to go with the Fully polished version.
Double check the catalog but my 05 Road King has a trim piece that fits on top of the headlight nachelle to cover up the seam and to keep water from dripping down inside of your headlight we’re all the wiring connections are. That would be a great use of some of those Harley points!
If I get pulled over by a Cop, I hope it's you. Good Luck with the new engine. Blue Loctite is your friend. Yeah, I have an H-D Visa card, I used the points for tires and labor charges.
Just run it normal man, top dog engine builder I know told me that it's not good to just baby em around that many miles.....all they need is a few proper heat cycles and theyr good....this comes from gms racing, uniontown pa....he builds 200 plus hp drag harleys. They go from the lift after 3 heat cycles, to the dyno .
What’s the link to the bars and extensions also have a road king and dunno if I need to spend the $1300 or what appreciate it (highly recommend the S and S super E woke my bike up night and day)

Thanks Dave. Hope weather warms up soon. We’ve had a very mild winter in Texas - it’s just been windy as hell.
It's cald a nut check mine does it to. I HAVE 01 Electra glide big bore up grade got 6300 on her now runs ok fast but vibration is crazy. Great video
Very nice and sounds beautiful
I’m really glad that things are working out on the Roadking. It’s sure a good looking bike and it does sound a lot better. Be safe.

Been riding only Harleys for over 26 years and your best friend is blue loctite and a torque wrench.

How many miles on your motor?
@@twowheeledcop9029 I’ve got just over 6,000 miles in two years.
Gaining traction,…saw that Coors Banquet … refreshing!

Sounds good brotha! I’m working on picking up a 2000 road king classic in the next week or so.
Certainly sounds good 👍🏻🇦🇺
Same break in as my new 2021 Tri Glide Ultra After 5000 miles it just turned, Amsoil went into all three holes. Amsoil the only way to go.

Yes, somebody else mentioned that. I didn’t even realize I was missing it.

What kind of CV carb do you have? Also, what kind of needles and jets?
Damn man, I see you with the traeger. Thats that hot boy shit
Pretty good birthday gift. Didn’t even know I wanted one!
@@twowheeledcop9029 they are legit

Interesting. As much as I want to go rogue, the company with the warranty holds the power. I’ll play the game for a few hundred more miles!
Im a Lil late but u get the point!😁

Do you have an update on how it’s holding up? Love an Evo motor.
