It's seems complex ... and takes some getting used to at first, but once you get used to it it really responds and gives you many more colors of sounds to pull from .... almost like driving a go-cart and then driving a jet ..... in other words it's well worth investing the time to learn the "new" stuff .... I have an Epiphone BB King Lucille that Rick modified in a similar way that is my favorite guitar .... I wish I had 10 of them !!! Just my 2 cents, RJ
