Serving bedpan to a helpless patient

The Macintosh is put under the patient before putting the bed pan to avoid soiling the linen.
Secondly, you lift the patient on the waist before you place the bedpan.The patient should be comfortable not hanging on the bedpan

That's true. That is what you will use to wash patient's hands after cleaning him.

If the draw mackintosh and sheet on the bed gets solid then they replace with what they brought or when there is none on the bed they would use the ones they brought to protect the bed before placing the bedpan on the bed.
