You guys did this job up front a bit differently than I've seen as you weren't afraid to disconnect the UCA, whereas many others leave it in place and focus on disassembly down low at the LCA. Is the method you used less likely to disrupt current alignment settings on the car? Disclaimer...I know that a full alignment is required after any substantial suspension work done at home. Thanks for the video!

Hi @Steve Theodore , im glad you brought this up, yes this can mess up your alignment, but we marked the alignment bolt to the position it was before we had taken it off so we can put it back exactly how it was previously. Missing this step will cause your alignment to be off
And yes after any suspension work we always reccomend to get an alligment check at your local tyre shop!

@@AutoMotiv8ed - thank you very much, and it's funny how little this is mentioned in videos. I do appreciate it, and will make plans to do exactly that too. But I also know I'll be taking my car in for a full and proper alignment shortly after completing my own swap.

That’s not the famous 2jz sorry buddy. The 2jz in the Supra is the GTE which can handle a lot more power than the GE found in the is300. The GTE is the famous one that’s the one that’s so overly engineered they’ll last for another 200 years. 2 completely different engines and block strengths. Good video tho

I know this isnt the famous GTE, but in my eyes the 2JZ name plate will always be an icon. If it is a GE or GTE its still a 2JZ. Also the block is pretty much the same, differences are mainly, crack, rods, pistons, oil squirter per cylinder in the GTE, and mainly head work also.
Thank you for comment though! Glad you liked content! Hopefully i'll have a supra to compare differences of the GE and GTE as a future video!!
