Hey man, just know everything you do in this sort of detail is very much appreciated by guys like me who have less wrench experience, even the torque specs thats awesome!
Glad I could help! :) If you’d like to double check the torque settings for safety, please check the description box where you’ll find links to forums with info and diagrams! 👍🏻
So glad i found your channel. I'm hopefully picking up my first IS200 over the weekend, so your channel is going to help me out massively. thanks for the content, looking forward to more :)
Really great video mate, if all of them are like this going forward it’ll be a great resource for the IS300 community! What impact wrench are you using as well, it seemed to deal with all the suspension components with ease!
Thanks for the kind words. I can assure you that every video will be very detailed. I’ll put maximum effort in for all videos. Regarding the impact - it’s a Milwaukee mid-torque. If you want the exact model number I can find it when I’m back home, just let me know. However, it did struggle a little with the right right lower ball joint and I had to whip out the breaker bar and a scaffold pole 😂
One thing I’d recommend is putting the nut back on the ball joint threads, but don’t tighten the nut. When you’re splitting the ball joint, you won’t have the risk of the ball joint hitting you. I did it on my is300 and it worked. Great video however!
BRO I love you so much. The is300 is my biggest motivation for cars just because of how much of an underdog it is and many people are still unaware of it. Im really excited to see your build.I love your knowledge in cars, thanks so much for making the educational video on the is300.
When I saw you do Method 1 on removing the rear shocks, I was screaming about Method 2 which is a lot easier. Thank goodness you showed it in the end. Fyi, you don't need to compress the springs in Method 2. The shocks just pop out. Great production quality, now Subscribed.
Yeah it is a lot easier 😂 …and I only compressed the spring in the second method because it was easier to remove the big bolt :) thanks for the sub and thanks for watching! More to come! 😋✌🏻
You are awesome, thank you so much. I worked on my SC 300 and did i everything correctly. I don't know a thing about the mechanical parts of a automobile. I didn't even know what my SC was, it fell into my lap and the price was right. It is a one owner 1997 bought in Beverly hills. I now know what I have and I love it! I feel like sending you Christmas gifts for the next twenty years...... thanks from Las Vegas.
You’re absolutely welcome! I’m glad you gained something from this. This is exactly why I love making videos! SC300s are beautiful cars, take care of it 😊👍🏻
3:55 is why I subscribed lmfao Not sure why but I found that so funny. Just picturing you going 1v1 with this ball joint for the next three hours, which was definitely a possibility lol.
Thank you for subscribing! 😎✌🏻 I’m not sure when the wheels video will be done. All wheels and exhausts are out of stock all over the world so I’m having to wait a while.
I have no idea, I haven’t done wheel bearings on this car 🤷🏻♂️ it depends what equipment you have, knowledge level and whether or not you come across any seized bolts.
Pretty good video, you're progressing good! I don't know if anyone has said this but torque suspension components when there's load on them, otherwise you can get unfavourable preload on them, making them wear faster. When I installed poly bushes and new ball joints I even drove it a bit after impacting them on so everything settles, then I torqued everything to spec while the car is on the ground.
I’ve actually heard this from someone at work too. However, I’m not sure how I’m going to be able to torque everything on the ground when it’s this low? I suppose I need to get some ramps or something? Thanks for watching and thanks for the advice :)
@@shizukesajdm yeah ramps or a garage with a tunnel work okay. My situation was the latter. It is still very awkward though :) with a tunnel you can also rock the car back and forth to see if there's any strain on anything, knocking, etc
I’m happy you got something out of it! We’re all learning, all of the time :) I learned a lot during this mod, but I don’t want to have to do it again anytime soon 😂 thanks for watching!

Ever since fitting my coilovers on my IS300 the ABS just goes nuts to the point where the car is un drivable. Fixed it by pulling the relay out. Didn't have that problem on my GS300 so I have no clue what is up with it.
