I thought there is a state law in hawaii that says all beaches are public. §46-6.5 says that any land below highest water wave level is public. Chapter 115 even states that there is a penalty for preventing the public access to the beach.

Land leading to the beach may be private, but the beach itself is still public.

Nope...it's illegal....it's just not policed. Again, at the time I was visiting. Plenty of other videos on this topic as well. Reach out to the property owners and they'll tell you the same.
Then why are you paying attention to what I'm saying
You can't take a SUV in besides walking
I'm sure things keep changing. When I was there saw plenty of 4-Wheel drive vehicles driving through there. I wouldn't do it personally but plenty of folks who were "at the time I was visiting".
