He's almost 26, he's older than vladdy. He's only a rookie because he had these kinds of issues in the minors too keeping him down. He was on fire when he came up because pitchers didn't know at first he was strong on heaters up and in with his compact swing. But they quickly learned he sucked on breaking balls down and away hence why the end of 23, and most of this season has been bad. The playbook is out on him, and he's just not adjusting. He was never really blowing the doors off the minors outside maybe his last season in buffalo even though he was good at times. So there really isn't anything pointing to he's going to be great. And his numbers for nearly a full season this year are atrociously bad.
Do we remember ' moneyball '? If you have 9 good players you can have a 600 or 700 team. In the long run this is a good thing. If you have 2 or 3 better than average players what do you have, maybe a 500 or 600 team. Lets not forget two seasons ago, ' one bad call ' from front office in the middle of a game affected the final score. Players can win games if they are placed in the right positions on the field, were the feel comfortable. Just saying.
Why? Bo is a good not great offensive player and a below avg defender who doesn't seem like he wants to be in Toronto. If they don't intend on giving him a big contract for 2026, (I dont think they should) why not trade him while you can?

Anyone noticed how Atkins looks like he’s aged so much over the time he’s been involved with the team? I get that it’s been a decent amount of time with him at the helm but he went from looking much younger and healthy for his age to someone who looks a whole 20 years older. Eerily similar to those comparisons of how world leaders look before and after their term. He had his good moves and trades in the past but it definitely seems like the time that he hands the reigns to another GM and steps aside with how the season and team now looks.
You need a trim almost as much as the Jays do. Atkins and John Schneider must go. Pathetic management. Probably whoever the people are they paying to teach the Jays to hit well should go, too. I wouldn't be sad to see Davis Schneider start the year in the minors and build his confidence back up. Get him a decent hitting instructor to correct his flaws in his swing that he has made clear this year. It is a tough call on Bo. I'm not sold on them having a replacement that has a higher upside. To trade Bo now, you may not get value in return. Maybe hope he plays for a contract and try to sign him mid-season if it works and try to replace him if it doesn't. But obviously the Jays need to improve the bullpen. Little and Cabrera should be brought back. Yariel R should be long relief. Everyone else is expendable. But obviously you don't just let people go without better options to replace them.

John Schneider needs to shave his moustache and beard. It’s seems to be distracting him to the point of not being able to concentrate fully to what is occurring on the field.
He definitely has under-performed his contract the last two years at the plate. That said, he is still an excellent fielder and good mentor for the young guys. He can still steal bases and hit with some power. If it wasn't for overpaying him, you would probably want to keep him.
All players have their ups and downs. Vladdy had his downs ,They kept him. So keep Schneider and. he will perform.
