@@TodayWeWrenchfor the 2stroke oil mix with the petrol, do I just keep topping it up everytime it's low or is there a way to completely drain it like the transmission oil ?
Great build and video, thanks for making it! Building my son’s bike now for his upcoming 5th bday. Any chance you can share where you sourced those factory style decals from and the dunlop fork decals? Thank you!
The graphics are from 139 Designs. Tell Chris you want Jarman's PW graphics and he will know what you're talking about. As for the dunlop on the tires, its paint marker. Clean it with break clean and give it a couple coats.
@@TodayWeWrench amazing, thank you! How tall is your little one now? You think w the odi risers you can keep him on it on the pw50 until he’s 7yo or would look into upgrading to a 65cc by 6yo?
@@patrickmaus My son is 3 so I had to shave the seat in order for him to touch tip toes. To answer your other question, yes a 7 year old will fit just fine. They make riser seats if he's on the taller side and the ODI bars are not that high so I would go with Cycle Worx high rise bars. I would only upgrade if he's a good rider and ready for a clutch and shifter. Personally my son's next move will be a KTM 50 so that he can learn clutch and shifting at the same time and not learn them separately. I will skip right past the XR70 or something with an auto clutch. Hope this helps let me know if you need anything else
Just curious why a 65 jet. Are you running pump gas? We have 91 pump out in the west. Dry climate at low altitude. Also have a 2022 with removed brass piece. Bike runs pretty good. Wondering if it will benefit from the 65. jet.
Thanks! here is the handlebar kit www.partsgiant.com/p403757-odi-pee-wee-handlebar-kit?m=28670678&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjLGyBhCYARIsAPqTz1_K5gt9OwvdIAF_QzbxrZjGovDXFiDUbmQkfgbiKpGRkx1yU2Fg8iMaAiDFEALw_wcB
Anyone have any recommendations my son's PW50 runs amazing other than no bottom power. He's 52lbs carbs clean clean 65 main jet hotter plug 93 pump gas no sputter good compression. Heavy duty clutch springs. Clutch doesn't slip. Barley gets out the gate. High performance race gear installed. Any recs would be appreciated 👍
You changed piston and/or gaskets from OEM? You mighta inadvertently changed the port height to expansion chamber 'height' Might be able to rectify with porting work. Also, check your reeds. And ignition timing could be off. There's not much to them so start with cheapest n easiest thing it likely could be and work down the list towards the more expensive end
Where did you get the gripper seat cover from, Please? Im making my daughters PW50 black and pink for her, and would love to replace the seat cover too.. Pink/Black gripper seat would be ace...
just bought a LT50 for my 6 year old daughter and my 7 year old son. stripped it completely and rebuilding it as new. just waiting on the full new seat and bolts for the chain guard and wing screws for the seat. needed some new fuel hose so got some coming to. want it looking like its come from the shop so that's hoe it looks. 4 weeks to get it done till Christmas. i searched everywhere for a pw50 but nothing about worth bothering with near me
I’ve looked and looked at the “moto seat” website but unable to find where you add Yamaha to the seat. Do you have to call and special order it that way?
Recently was given a used 2000 pw50 for my son it idles fine on the start position but as soon as i set to run it revs up trys to take off anyone know what can cause it
Very nice nick I know he was overwhelmed by the new look 😀
Hell yeah he loved it

Little guy's gonna be pumped. Very nice
Thanks
Good looking bike, mate. FYI use the adjuster on the cable to take the slop outa the throttle
Superb! Love it! Well done bro! Could ya share what are the specs of the tires? Or maybe send a link ? Thanks in advance!
Dunlop MX34 front tire on both front and rear wheel is the go to setup for the PW50.
@@jowens4160 what would a 65 jet do to the bike?
Can you tell me what stand you use please?
Hi, I was just wondering where you buy that seat cover from?
Hey buddy love the build thanks for all the info where can I find that seat cover with the Yamaha logo
It's from Moto Seat. You have to select side logos then put in the notes that you want Yamaha

Im running 93. The 70 is a tad rich and the 65 solved that
Anyway you can tell me or send me the link for your handlebar setup. I really appreciate it. And your bike looks amazing

Have you checked the compression?
A bigger bike, sounds like he should be moving toward a race 50 or 65

Select logo then email them with the order number and say you want Yamaha logos on the side instead of Moto Seat
