Hi Aaron, Guy here from Malaysia. at this point from looking at the screen you have 94.8k subscribers
I definitely needed this. Not young anymore so I regularly feel worn out and it's really disheartening trying to learn again and sounding bad every third day.
Your a star. Respect from the uk.
Even in my 20s I was going through the same thing. I’ve definitely been there where every third day or so was a bad chop day. It was a vicious and annoying cycle. What do you personally do on those days?
Relaxing ‘wooden chops’! I needed you 50 years ago!❤️
Yes! That actually feels good.
Another great video. thanks
Though I’m not new, I am Jeff from Cincinnati. I am learning again after 40 years off and a stroke after brain surgery. I am absolutely loving this series. It is so cool that you are so giving of yourself! Keep on keepin’ on!❤️

Hello Fred from H town
Great stuff sir!
Thank you! Have you ever had a bad chop day? How did you handle it?
Hi Aaron! Love your videos, they have helped me a lot. I've been playing for a few months now and am trying to learn Strasbourg/st. Denis right now. I struggle with the high b-flat right now, I've seen someone talking about smaller mouthpieces is better for playing high notes. Right now i use a Jupiter 7C, could i still play higher notes with that mouthpiece or should i get a smaller one?
Are you still doing lessons?
I know I'm not live but I'm from Ashby Ma. tiny town, one flashing light. I've been following you for a couple years. Love to play out of the Real Book, and Honk Band tunes.
Hey Steven, What are 5 songs you would like to play our of the Real book?
@@TheBlackTrumpeter Not in any order, and I'm open for other suggestions.
Moanin' p270 in a RB but not in mine, I got it off the net.
Black Coffee P45 RB 6th edition
Dear Old Stockholm p102 6th editopm
502 Blues p142 6th edition
Song for My father p373
The only one I've been working on is Moanin.
Another question: is there a book, that you might suggest, that could lead a musician from basic reading of charts, up through scales (there seems to be dozens or more of scales). chords, etc. I guess I'm looking for a"beginner's guide to music theory", but maybe a bit beyond basics so there is a glossary or index to help when more advanced terms and subjects get bandied about, one can use as a referral guide?
