Great video❤ If you crochet over (catch the float) your non-working yarn every 3-4 stitches instead of every stitch it helps to stop the bleeding through of the non-working yarn. 😊
Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial. I have just completed my first ever tapestry crochet and so very proud of myself. Your video and written pattern were great! When I showed my finished square to my daughter she said, "it looks like a tea cup with steam". How about that!! I am now a subscriber to your channel!
oh my gosh, this is such a great announcement! Congratulations! I think tapestry crochet really opens up a whole new, fun dynamic to the art of crochet and I'm so happy you've enjoyed learning it and were able to complete the cute little hot mug! Great feedback from your daughter! With love, Lindsey
Thank you for the tutorial, I've been meaning to check out tapestry crochet. I'm curious about how you did the handle and body of the cup in the same row, unfortunately you skipped ahead at this point so I didn't get to see that? x
Hello! Glad you enjoyed it! For the handle, I used the same technique as for the steam... I just dropped the yarn color I wasn't using and picked up the next color, dropped it, etc. If I crochet more than 3 or 4 stitches, i'll carry. Otherwise, I just drop it and pick it back up again. Thanks for checking!
Thank you for the lovely video. You have used two green yarn balls. If I have one green ball , can I use it without cutting the yarn? I mean alternatively. I can understand that in the wrong side , there will be a big messy looks. But egar to know , is it possible? Thanks in advance.
You're welcome! Absolutely, you can use just the one ball without breaking the yarn - there are 3 options. 1) you can carry it across as illustrated as the 2nd technique in the video, 2) you can pick up the float once in a while (like every 4 stitches for example) and stitch it underneath your single crochet so it doesn't show through as much, or 3) you can just let it dangle completely and then pick it up again on the other side. All will work!
Hi There! I'm sorry, I don't know what "cut pattern" means? This tapestry is one sided, not reversible. The back won't be pretty. LOL. Wall hangings, coasters, bags, things that are just one-sided for this type of crochet! Does that answer the question?
Where do I purchase this pattern?
