E-Bike Question of the Day ⚡🚴 How do you plan to ride the Revv 1? Will you keep it in its Class 2 mode, take advantage of its Class 3 functionality, or ride free in Off-Road mode? Let us know in the comments below 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
I've been on on UA-cam since the day it first went online. I've watched a LOT of product reviews; so many I am qualified to review the reviewers. As master of all I survey, and then some, YOUR reviews are some of the finest I have ever watched. And your attention to detail is excellent (e.g. the set, props, closeups, narration style, subject matter, etc.) Keep up the excellent work.
Nice bike. I wouldn’t make too big a deal about changing the rear tire, so long as you have moped tires. They are DOT rated and much more puncture resistant than bicycle tires Way back when I had an A2B ultrmotor bike with horrible 20” Kenda tires. Switched to 16” moped tires and never had another flat
@@ElectricBikeReportyou can change the tire or tube very easily without removing the entire wheel..I do it all the time on my ebike that has the same setup..
@@Moananuiākea unbolt the rear wheel..then pull the wheel out just far enough to squeeze the tire and the tube out..I got a cheap Chinese ebike with no quick disconnect and that's how I do..yeah it sucks you have to do all that work by disconnecting it from the controller.. that's one of my reasons for not getting the revv 1
Juiced HyperScorpion is a moped style. This is like a big mini bike with no gas motor. We can say a Scrambler or Cafe bike style if anything. Very good job in your review and info.. Very nice commenting 👍😎
When you say they’re going to have an option for an additional battery does that mean we’re gonna be able to run them in parallel or is it going to be a swap out type of thing when one is depleted?
@electricbikereport I’m looking at upgrading from my RR+. I’d like more speed, torque and better brakes. Not to mention the looks are awesome. Any experience with carrying a passenger on this and/or brake pad wear relative to a mechanical disc? I’d be riding in class 3mode, commuting in Boston 40mi a week. Carrying a kid occasionally to sports practices. I’m getting sick of crappy brakes and having to adjust them weekly. Thanks!
Well if you want more speed, torque, and better brakes this certainly has it! We haven't tested out the passenger kit, but the padded seat is roomy as is, so if you get Ride1Up's Passenger kit which extends the saddle, adds a backside grab bar, and foot pegs it should do well with a plus 1 provided the passengers can all fit. That shouldn't be an issue if you have a slightly older child that you'd feel comfortable putting behind you. The brakes did well in our testing, and we haven't had to do anything extra to the brakes in the first 150+ miles we've put on it. Extra passengers and a heavier bike might see quicker wear in general, but overall we're happy with the brake setup. We hope that helps! If you do purchase one please click our pricing links beforehand :)
@@ElectricBikeReportthis is very helpful thank you! Yes, I’ll definitely use the link on your site when I decide to purchase. I think the passenger seat will be fine for a fit as I’ve got one on my RR+ and my kids fits fine. Regarding braking, I think are right. Heavy bikes wear pads out. May not be away around that. As pads wear on hydraulic brakes, are they easy to adjust to keep the same lever pull feel? I’m always getting out the Allen key on my cable discs
Nice review.. can you tell me what helmet are you using on the beginning of the video? The black helmet.. also, is it a good one to use with this e-bike? Thank you!
Yes! It's the Urbanite helmet from XNITO (www.ebrdeals.com/ebrRP-Xnito-OldSchool). It's rated for e-bike use up to 28 mph, so it's a good match for the Revv 1 in Class 2/Class 3 modes.
Anyone know what brand the brakes are on the Revv1? I’ve got air in my rear brakes and don’t have any braking power, need to buy a bleed kit but want to make sure the fittings match these calipers
I want to buy one but I live in The UK and they only ship inside the US 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞 Where can I find one second hand (prepared to pay for shipping costs) ?
I was watching a bunch of reviews on it I don’t think it does however you need a key to take out the battery I would just take the battery with me everywhere I go in my backpack just in case someone wants to steal my bike. They won’t get far without the battery 💀
You guys are due for an Ariel Rider Kepler test.. A model from Wired would be nice. And an Amp Rides bike. The biggest and best motor and battery combos are somehow not getting their showcasing here. 😁 Looks like you are not getting the top dogs that are a cut above, unless they send them free.
I’m 6’2” 225 lbs, no issues with the size of the bike. I leave it in Off/Road mode and just make sure I don’t ride like a Dink. Spoken to multiple police officers while sitting in traffic with no issues. New chain fixed the issues, my only gripes are a slight lag on throttle or PAS on a hill, as well as the response from the motor while Hill climbing. Would love to see a 72v 1500w or a Dual Motor option in the future
im debating currently on installing a second motor on the front or on the middle to assist with hill climbing, im 6'1 and 210 and my only gripe is the two massive hills i need to get over each and every day on my comute, if i was able to reach 25-30 on hills or with an added battery maintain the 30-60 rang, it would be a godsend. so my plan might be to get a 1200-3000 motor in the front and add a 52v-72 20-30ah battery to the belly
Hands down the best review for the revv1 so far..great bike but I'll wait to see if they would fix the minor issues..like the chain and tensioner, the odometer that gives a wrong reading and give us a quick disconnect on the motor power cable..but still as I said great bike and would be my next purchase too . Oh by the way I'll definitely unlock it for max speed..but most of my riding would be in class 2 mode tho(20mph) to save battery for a longer ride..
The range test was meaningless to me since your had it in Class 2 mode. No one would keep it in that mode for very long. Also it would have been nice to know how easy it is to switch between modes, e.g. from Class 3 to off road and back again. Thanks!
Do you know if these models are still 750W motors? Online it shows them to be 1000W. Im just wanting to be sure to get the right one since i live in CA
If the Revv 1 now has a 1,000w motor, does that mean it is no longer street legal in Class 3? And does Ride1Up have the additional battery pack yet for the Rev 1? Thanks for your excellent review!
If you are in to these style ebikes the hands down winner for 2024 are the Goat Power Bikes. Dollar for dollar they are clearly the best bang for the buck! Plus their over the top customer service allows you to communicate directly with the owner of the company.
That's not really fair doing tests in class 2. The people buying it will never ride it limited to class 2. I hope you don't do that to test the grizzly or Kepler Ariel Rider bikes.. Or the Wired Freedom bike.. Or Fabulous E bike models.. We want to see how real world use will crush 90% of every other bike out there 😂. I bet bikes can do hell-hole in 50 or less seconds easily.
Their hill test is the best. That would be a good group. I’d bet on the Fabulous 60v AWD but not sure. The Wired 60v 40amp controller pulls over 2300 watts but just one motor. Love to see what the Grizzly would do.
Can someone straighten me out on actual motor power, or agree with me? The nominal motor rating is 750 watts, but that is just a meaningless number IMO. Power is controlled by the controller, and limited by the capacity and BMS of the battery.. I'm assuming the BMS is rated for 2C, of the 20 Ah motor capacity.. The controller is rated for 28 amps, and the battery is 52 volts? Assuming the battery can deliver 28 amps, full throttle is 52v x 28 amps = 1456 watts.
