Correction: The base list in this video & the conclusion say the points are 1090. This is incorrect. For some reason I included 10 cavaliers into the list instead of 5, sorry about that! The actual points are 920, which is still fine and does not impact the score! Thanks for watching and subscribing everyone I really appreciate it! The Maggotkin Of Nurgle review is up already as well if you are a channel member! If not, it'll go live for everyone on Monday! Excellent review as always, but you seem to calculate points with 10 cavalry models in a few places, so I think this battleforce would give you 170 points less (so 920 in total).
Thanks a lot for this review! I already ordered the box (directly off of games workshop's page so I saved even less) but you did reinforce me in my purchase decision
Of course it does. AoS product has always been more bang for buck compared to 40k, it's not a new phenomenon. If you compare past Christmas boxes and even existing Combat Patrol/Spearheads you will consistently arrive at AoS product being a slightly better deal. It's a sort of hidden popularity tax 40k customers are paying.
I have the launch box and spearhead, I think this completes it nicely can build the extra marshall alternatively and maybe spice the extra cannon up with some kitbashing.
This is an awesome review as always! However... In your other reviews, you included the possibility to combine it with the respective army box in addition to the spearhead. How would that look here? I would assume there is a lot of overlap, and it might be cheaper to buy the missing unit from the army box seperatly ?
I agree. Its probbaly not winning tournaments but totally viable. Only things that you dont want overlapping is once per army abilities. An example is the slaan or gup ressurection. This is because it makes the scroll lose value.
I agree with the other commenters here. If you don't mind running two cannons it's a great combination because there is no other overlap. Steelhelms are great basic infantry, and having 20 of them is great, and on top of that you get more CoS cavalry which is an excellen unit imo. So combining the army box with the battleforce is a great way to go.
hei i just got the sklaventide box aswell as the gnawholes for my birthday, i wanted to play an 1k skaven list, i already got the faction spells aswell as the gnawholes now im wonderin gif i need something else or can i build an okay skaven army with 1k and just the skaventide box
Hey! if you already have the endless spells and the gnawholes you have everything ready to go to play 1000 points games. The Skaventide units are great, but its a bit annoying to actually build a 1000 points list with the units included. You could either ask yout friend to go a bit above 1000 points, or you'd have to play a 900-940 points list. But yeah, technically speaking you have everything you need to start playing!

@@stormudde You are absolutely right! Thanks for mentioning that

There just seems to be some much more stuff in these boxes than the 40K boxes. Especially the tau

Yep, AoS is definitely the cheaper game. I have nothing to add to what you've said.
Got this for 33% off the retail price. Very exciting, cities are a lore nuts dream faction. New models, lore rich, im in!

From what I remember there actually isn't overlap beyond a second cannon and 5 more cavalry, so sticking them both together is completely reasonable

Hi bud, the Skaventide models come up to 1210pts with current points values.
