Thanks for watching!
Qantas has done 2 or 3 other ads like this with the sane song and children's choir. I personally like the original and 1st ad. Its showed the choir singing in beautiful parts of Australia. 👍
Thank you for letting me know! I will try to check them out in a future video :)
Have a nice weekend!
The song, I was only 19 by Redgum is well worth a listen. I would love to hear your comments.
The add does lots of messaging to it's audience. The opening scene is Ularu a residual rock formation which is sacred to aboriginal (or as they prefer to be called First Nations people) The first person to be featured is a First Nations elder. The two women in the swimming pool once is an Olympic champion. The other is a disabled champion. The woman on the phone is one of Australia's greatest tennis players. The bloke feeling a bit cold at the Bondi pool is one of Australia's greatest football players both are First Nations.
At the end are lots of women pilots. The add suggests that the country is beautiful but also celebrates the the diverse nature of the country showing how the contribution of all part of the deal.
Qantus had a number of scandals and this add helps to make up for it
