American tanks are massively uptiered. You are a point and click free kill while to get a kill you have to make 69 calculations, find a weakspot and hit that weakspot 420 times to get a kill assist.

War Thunder is such a funny game sometimes, I know there's a massive split in the community about the HSTV-L and how its shots do no damage, and I don't have an opinion because I'm only at 6.7 and not even America, but 1:57:10 it hits a rocket square in the nose, passes the entire APFSDS round through the length of the rocket, and TURNS IT ORANGE. Incredible.
I've been really liking all the long videos lately. I hope this one performs well enough to make a series out of.
Panther players swear the panther isn't strong for it's BR and deserving to go up.
Meanwhile that Panther in the 6.7 match: Completely un-pennable frontally by a 90mm gun specifically designed to deal with german heavy armor.
Not only that, but a 90mm specifically designed to and proved to be able to punch through the front of a Panther. It's a pretty well known fact that the M3 90mm should be able to punch through the upper glacis of a Panther at about 1,000m but in game that has never been the case because...well then that'd be a knock against the Panther and the Panther players would riot.
As someone with the panther 2 it sucks that it is 7.0 aka no line up. But it deserves to be that high of a br
recently got into warthunder myself, watching the way you played all of these with the commentary on your mindset of the whys and ifs was a huge learning experience and entertaining to watch on top of that.
Cant wait to see the British and Swedish trees done (my main trees)

5.0 and 6.0 US Tanks are so trash in comparison to German and Russian it’s borderline unplayable.
Sherman’s and t-34s are on par wdym, I’d even say 76 Sherman’s are better than t-34-85s

Playing 8.0 Germany right now and probably am the avarage "most aware" germany main noob. For me anything post 6.7 Germany is suffering. But I start to have fun in the DF105.
My US-Tree was very fun so far , but at 5.3 I started to get stomped on..
Most Fun I had so far was with 3.0 Britain.
It definitely will be a series, I'm working on editing the Germany one right now!

As a Soviet main, just do anywhere on the turret. Basically if you don’t pen, you’ve hit their barrel.

Great play, not discounting your obvious skill, but you are sure getting much better sound clues for your scouts and kills than I do any chance of sharing your sound settings?
I think it's more due to my headphones, I use open-back stereo headphones (PC38X) which helps with sound stage positioning and accuracy. I use zero fake-surround software, it's all just a clean stereo pathway.
Sound settings wise, everything at lowest except for "Other players engines"

What BR? Because low to mid tier US is great for brawling. You get stabilizers that work to about 25 kilometers, on the 75mm, 76mm, and 90mm guns you get really potent APCBC with a lot of explosive filler, a lot of US vehicles get HMGs from a low BR, and once you get the 75mm Jumbo you have godly frontal armor for it's BR.

i played a lot of sim yesterday as i needed kills for gamepass points and it was all axis vs allies 4.7ish to 5.7ish....i was using french ebr and amx13 mainly and got plenty of kills ebr especially i averaged prolly a 3.5 to 1 kd which isnt bad for me...have to flank with german armor...decided to give a go at america....5 matches two kills....us tech tree is horrible at 4.7-6.0 id even go to say almost worst in game the shells are dogshit and cant pen anything so you have to flank and there nothing else besides m18 thats fast enough....38kmh with a shell that pens 140 and has to be directly at 90 degrees and under 300 meters to do anything...maybe it was because i was playing sim but us tech tree blows at that br so u are right....as soon as i went back into french main i got 5 kills in the ebr not even the auto reload one either...if i had that id easily have a 7 to one kd in sim

why did you use APDS on the T92 instead of HEAT?
I always use kinetic projectiles as my main ammo if available. It's just more versatile (can shoot through objects) and gets Gaijin'd less in my experience
