Malia Smith Hi there ! I personally use the YouVersion Bible App for reading plans, it comes with a devotional and scripture. And I grab my physical bible to read and study and take notes. Then before bed, i like to go back to the daily scripture and reread it. Hope this helps. 😊 God bless.

Also, I got my mom's bible when she passed away recently, pause to wipe away tears, and it just sits there (I have a couple dozen other bibles) and I'm afraid to use it and add to her notes. But seeing how you were with your Gmas bible encouraged me to put mine down, and walk my walk with Christ with HER bible in hand.
I had a very similar experience. I bought a journaling bible last year, and I was sooo excited for it. When it finally came in the mail, I just couldn’t wait to write in it. But I had this undeniable feeling on my heart to not write in it. After a couple days, the feeling wasn’t going away, and I was getting frustrated. Then, at school, my friend (who is not a Christian) came up to me out of the blue and said “I really wanna read the Bible! I think a lot of people misunderstand it.” So, I wrote notes in the book of John and gave it to her. We stayed after school together and went through that gospel together, and it was incredible. Praise God for the opportunities He gives us!! (even if we don’t feel like praising initially)
Over the years, you get to see your growth with how much in depth you get into your bible. All of your growth ‘footsteps’ are/were recorded for your friends new ‘steps and growth ‘ I just 💕 love ❤️ your family and the Spirit of God that richly dwells in all of you! Thank God for your steadfast love in The Word!
When I heard you say Ecuador I literally squealed with joy! I grew up there as an MK (Missionary Kid) and currently my parents are still serving there 😃. It makes me happy that you made a mission trip there since not a lot of people do anymore.

There is a lot of family history that links me to Ecuador on a Christian level. My dad's parents served as missionaries there, my parents, my aunt and uncle, and just two years ago God revealed to me that I'll be going back to Ecuador as a missionary someday😊.

I was reading 1 Timothy 6 this morning. Verses 17 and 18 encourage us to give away, to distribute, to share our possessions, that God himself has given to us. Then verse 20 says: "Keep that which is committed to thy trust". So, keep the Word of God by giving it to others. Perfect.
Girlfriend, SUPER proud of you!! I'm your mom's age range and God has called on me to do similar. Multiple times. I know what it's like to be joyful you obeyed and yet for a short while your heart can be sad at such a sentimental loss. Always more than worth it. Great video and fabulous lesson and testimony. That bible is massive - I LOVE IT!!!!! I just started getting my bibles covered to preserve them because my favorite one (I has since college) was falling apart. I love covering them now. So glad you were able to save it - loving the duck tape option. Now about the story behind your bible - WOW. I know this is an older video but I’m just seeing it as I’m new to your channel. This has touched my heart so much. Last year God put on my heart to give one of my bibles away to a young lady who was a friend of my daughters and someone who became a part of my life who I wanted to raise up and treat like a daughter. The Bible I gave was still new not much work that I did in it, but it was still a blessing to her. This year God has put on my heart to start a ministry (bible art ministries) and told me I am to bless others with a journaling bible every month, I at first said I can’t do that they cost a lot and I’m not good at teaching, God pressed on my heart and told me this is what I want you to do, bless others and you will be blessed. So I began my ministry, it’s still very new and last month gave away a wonderful bible and supplies, the person who won was blessed and I was blessed because of it. I know God is going to bless this ministry He put on my heart.. God bless you ladies and your ministry, I’m enjoying your videos :)

This reminds me of something similar that happened a few weeks ago. There’s this little girl who I’ve known since she was really little (in Kindergarten I think) who take piano lessons from my mom and I, named Lily. She’s in 5th Grade now and she's been going through some really hard trails in her life like bullying and her parents splitting up. I had been her Sunday school teacher for quite sometime, until we decided to leave that church. She got baptized about a month ago and I just felt it in my heart that she needed my old Bible. I wasn’t going to do it at first because it was my first Bible I started journaling in. I four it at about 12, and used it for everything for several years. It’s been to countless church services, church camps, and youth groups. But a few weeks ago I decided to do it. I gave her my old marked up Bible. I had given her and her little sister a “mommy and me storybook bible” a while ago, as I had grown out of it, but this was way harder. I had more of an attachment to this one, but the reward was much greater. I’m getting to see the Lord work in and through this beautiful girl, and I’m so glad to have a part in that. What you said was exactly right, we should crave and long for God, not just our bible. It can very easily become and idol of it’s own. I’m glad you were about to bless Cassidy through your Bible. It’s so encouraging to hear how the Lord’s been working I’m your life!

I just actually bought this, oooh it's a whopper, love it... but what I've also done is get some duct tape and some sticky back plastic, to cover it with right off, that way I'm hopefully giving it an extra bit of stabilisation right from the start LOL. If you want to do a video flip of your Bible shown here, I would love to see what you have done with yours. I also was so moved by your story about gifting your old Bible, I cannot imagine how you managed to do it given how much it meant to you, what a truly Christian gesture. 💖Blessings.

My grandmother gave me when I bought my first Bible (I had been gifted many others but this was the first I bought for myself as it was an archaeology study Bible, and I love archaeology). When you open it up and lay it flat, there will be a hollow section along the spine. Fill that up with glue and then close your Bible. Use your fingers to smooth along the spine to make sure the glue is well spread out. Then close it up and leave it dry. I've had this Bible for 4 years now and it's still holding strong 💪

My mom had some florals religious washy tape at home. So I took it and recovered my bible with it. I had a bible I was gifted by my deaf church pastor in 2014 before I moved to South Dakota for 6.5 years. The cover was paperback and I didn’t like so I covered it up. It looks so much better now and I also am in the process of adding washy tape to the edges of the inside pages marking where each book of the Bible starts. I am hoping I have enough tape to do the entire bible the same tape design/color. I loved your video.

Can y’all do a video on time management 😂 I feel like with how fast paced life is between school and jobs and friends and family... there really isn’t any time left to spend alone with God.
Anytime your in the shower or driving or cooking or cleaning or working, just be with the Lord! Talk to him and know your with Him at all times. Having bible on cds or ipod is good if your really busy to listen to if your driving or working out etc. Its so great when our heart desires to spend time with Him. Blessings to you !

Oh wow! I love to see a Bible that is well-used. We often treat our books too reverentially, especially the Bible. But I read an author say that he would much rather we highlight, mark, make notes, etc., in his books, because it shows how much they mean to us. And isn't the Bible THE book that should mean the most to us? Admittedly, my Bibly doesn't look like Ashley's, but then I have more of "traditional" Bible, rather than a larger one like this, but I use it daily to help me with my Bible Study.
I'm curious why your new bible is so huge and torn up already? How long have you had it? It was nice of you to pass on your old bible and your friend to give you her unused one.

Can y’all do a video on time management 😂 I feel like with how fast paced life is between school and jobs and friends and family... there really isn’t any time left to spend alone with God.
Anytime your in the shower or driving or cooking or cleaning or working, just be with the Lord! Talk to him and know your with Him at all times. Having bible on cds or ipod is good if your really busy to listen to if your driving or working out etc. Its so great when our heart desires to spend time with Him. Blessings to you !

Lol I had to tape my book but I didn't have duct tape so I basically used a load of washi tape lol, my birthday is the 21st I asked for a new bible mine is a few years old already lol!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh wow! I love to see a Bible that is well-used. We often treat our books too reverentially, especially the Bible. But I read an author say that he would much rather we highlight, mark, make notes, etc., in his books, because it shows how much they mean to us.
And isn't the Bible THE book that should mean the most to us? Admittedly, my Bibly doesn't look like Ashley's, but then I have more of "traditional" Bible, rather than a larger one like this, but I use it daily to help me with my Bible Study.
