    Picked up my Sirrus Elite last Sunday. My first new bike for 26 years! Absolutely loving it. Can't believe how light it is, and how little resistance there is - it's like riding on ice. That saddle's rock hard though... :o)

      @@bobbob9364 , Yes. At least the front wheel comes off extremely easily. I had to remove it for my vehicle; it came off and was put back on without any tough effort. I never attempted to remove the back wheel. Note, mine is a 2018 model.

    Why don't I see the yellow Specialized Sirrus not that much on the internet. Is it a customize collar? I only see it in white.

    For country roads with the odd bit of mud on road or loose gravel is it better to go for the crosstrail?

    • @seattlesfinest1927
      @seattlesfinest1927 4 роки тому

      Trigger HappyTV if that's the kind of riding you do then the cross trail is the bike for you. The sirrus line is mainly road unless you get the comp X

    Thankfully this model has rim brakes. Looking back from 2022 the bike manufacturers and component companies have pushed disk brakes to the hilt! Bikes are supposed to be simple.
    Cheers

    is this bike shown the entry level sirrus? how does this 2013 compare to the 2014?

    • @smellth1s157
      @smellth1s157 9 років тому

      It's not the entry there's the Sirrus. A1 aluminum frame no carbon fork then the sport A1 frame no carbon forke upgraded components like crank shaft, detailer. Then the sport disk which comes with hydraulic disks brakes then the Sirrus elite E5 aluminum frame upgraded components 2x9 instead of 3x9 and a carbon fork with zerts the 2014 has the e5 frame but for some reason. They did not add the carbon fork idk. Why. And that's the 2013 elite they are showing

    My Specialized Sirrus has been the worst bike I have ever owned. It came with no grease in the pedal sprocket. I had to drive it 140 miles three times to get it set up properly. Now three years later the derailer has failed and the chain has rusted, my 30 year old GT sitting next to it never rusted. The return spring on my shift knob failed, and the derailer wobbles side to side allowing the chain to slip gears. No fixing, I will have to replace the whole unit. Total piece of crap. I used to be a Specialized fan, but I will never buy another one ! Terrible bike, didn't last me three years of light riding.

      I have a 2012 with countless miles on it. Looks near mint. Maintenance matters. Also, shimano or SRAM made all the components you’re complaining about, not specialized. Jus sayin
