This video is very simplistic. Indians succeed not because they can speak English, but because they put in lot of efforts to integrate into their host countries.
Secondly, they have always been entrepreneurial. Long before we had Brits on our soil. We had mechanisms that can perpetuate industries and research. So, interacting with outsiders has been at least 4000 years old habit.
