- did a quick video on how I rebuild a power steering rack & pinion for a 94 - 01 Acura integra. no sound because I have too much background noise from the shop fan and air compressor.
This was exactly what I needed to see. Thank you so very much. Based on this vid, I now know I can do this. Rebuilding my 01 rack this weekend.

Exactly what I needed to rebuild my rack. Do recommend going with the Honda seal kit or is aftermarket OK to use?

@@enigmaticcruz2483 ? Rubber stopper? They don't have it on Integra racks.
@@wtfimpro1 you're right. I glossed right over that. I'm rebuilding my TSX rack and it has the rubber bushings between the tie rod lock washer and the rack. Don't mine me! I really appreciate this video.
@@enigmaticcruz2483 even when I build tsx rack. I don't replace those. They don't do much. I never had issues from customers.
do you have to replace the brake line fitting with a solid fitting in order to pop out the seal?

@@510kali I forgot the thread pitch. It's been years since I quit. I used an old fitting from a broken rack. You can also remove the steering pinion and hammer the shaft all the way though to push the seal out but it's messy. Make sure you put a bolt/rod to hammer the seal out. Like at 15:30 in the video.
@wtfimpro1 I tried pushing it all the way through after removing everything else. The pressure keeps fighting back lol.
@@510kali push it back towards the driver side. Remove the nut and you should see the seal. Use a big socket and hammer the seal a little. Should help break loose the seal.
How did you pull that rod out so easily mine will not come out like the seal and pressure is too much I tried everything but a press
