I can absolutely relate. Over the holidays I hit my personal best of 1521. I vowed to try and keep my Elo up there. I stayed at 1450 for a couple of weeks ... Then one night after work I was in a bad mood and bam....1295. now I'm mid 13's on my way back up. Chess is a slog.
Dude, I just started chess and have 300 Elo. But one thing I learned was -- if you are being matched fairly: Chess is a game you should be losing 50% of the time. Take heart in that! Love your vids.
Fantastic win against 1assen Nice fork put you right back in it great endgame you turnt that game around your opponent was very careless at the end helped but great playing on your part Nelson
It happens. All of us get into a bad mindset from time to time. Just remember that in the end, it's a game, and it's for fun. Nothing more or less. You are doing well, take care.
Yeah it’s a game . ( understatement ) for most of us it is “The Game “ most players take winning and losing seriously it’s the competitive nature of chess. Good players don’t like L’s the motivation is always there to try and be better next time playing . I feel like in chess if you know you are doing some things right that in itself is rewarding . The W’s and L’s does mean a lot but it’s the game itself we love
I'm obviously in no position to give you advice, but maybe try a different format (e.g. bullet, etc.) I'm a ~600 - 800 in rapid. I was having a really bad run, losing 6 in a row, etc. But then, I switched to daily for a few months, and I just beat a 1600! (That said, I need to play more rapid. I'm not used to the quick play and I play without thinking.)
Hey Nelson What do you think about the following idea: You play some games against one of the others well known chess players on UA-cam, e.g Anna Cramling (1.3 mio follower) or Allessia Santeramo (190 k follower) It would be interesting to follow each of you on his channel and see, what and how the others comment. Kr. Ernst
you should have kept your N on et at around 26 min and then missed a win later when after cd you should have played the N back to e5. you through away the advnantage trading queens
@spankymcduff9683 dude he makes novice blunders like locking in his bishops. I'm a big fan. Watched hours of his streams over a year now. But lately he just says rice cooker when ever opponent makes a "different" opening. Go check the past 7 streams.
@@spankymcduff9683 also, when you want to open up the king, Greek sacrifice is great. But he throws his bishop knight away often even when it can't work. Compared to jobova London which achieves this by pawn push first, THEN bishop knight sacrifice. Big difference

If a chess player isn't tilting, they aren't trying hard enough.
Best chess content on UA-cam, thankyou
Staying calm is good strategy. Embrace your inner Eric Rosen 😊
I think that you really should play for one hour and take a break for an hour. when you play 3 hours in a raw you exhaust your mental activity.

Cant wait for another live stream, i love them i learn a lot thank u
Thanks for the membership lol
I root for Mr. Lopez to win, but, I like when he gets salty AND wins the most.
1:19:53 I saw that e6 could be a good move, but even a broken clock is right twice a day...
Love you Nelson
Yes, I saw that your rook was in danger from his bishop, and I’m not an especially good chess player. Weird how things work like that.
In the game against MajorBatata, after black played Nf4, you could have played Rh8+, winning the rook on a8.
You need to start jogging 🏃

Hi Nelson, why dont u play the slav against the Queens Gambit. Its actually a very good counter opening and it might work out well for u.
Make video on AverageJoe Regularly

Your opponent giii003 is a bot ...

Obligatory UA-cam algorithm comment.
Or IM ALEX BANZEA which will improve your opening/mid game substantially.
Love the title hahaha
Net 4 point gain from time stream started?
Na4!!
You should watch remote chess academy. To improve your own game. Your opening theory is OFTEN wrong
Ouch.
you must be a YM..(youtube master)
