    I've got the small (13") and love it. Beer can chicken, 6 lb. butt, steaks of course. I picked up a ConvEGGtor and love smoking on it. One half chimney will hold 225F for 6+ hours. Try using the plate setter/deflector holding the temp at 300F cooking boneless chicken thighs... Don't forget the wood! Delicious!

    Its very efficient, it starts up very fast and thats why its great to use for your every day use.

    That little dude is amazing! Only 3 briquettes to reach and hold 250f. So many uses for this little guy

    I think this one would be perfect for you Linda. Its a ceramic grill for two.
    I got mine directly from big green egg (europe). I recommend that get yours from a local big green egg dealer, which you should be able to find on the big green egg website.

    After many months of investigation I went and purchased a reverse flow off set... Larger and long smoking duration than green egg plus should be better than a standard off set for heat controls ... Anyway .. Just love Pitt master x videos

    Green egg or off set smoker ....?. Which one is the best for smoking ! The Stanford engineers would say the green egg based on heat flow and design. What do you think ?

    Nice video. What is the how hot can you get this egg? Can it get over 700+ degrees? Thanks!

      Thanks! Yeah sure.... I don't know the max because my thermometers do measure that high.

      Can it get over 700* + degrees? Sure it can. A couple of years ago, during a winter night, I lit the mini with the vents fully open. I was not paying attention to the time. I went outside about 15-20 minutes after lighting along with the steak I was going to cook. Temperature gauge was showing between 100-200*F. I figured the fire starter blew out prematurely. I opened the dome and it was super hot. Probably over 1000*. I already had the gauge wrap around to the 300* mark. The mini probably gets hotter than any other Egg.

    hi, how would you smoke meats on a mini? i cant find any help online.... i got a mini and i was wondering if its doable to smoke beef (or pork) ribs with it. not sure if the size will effect the smoking process (duration and intensity).. pls help! thanks haha
