Real Timberlands vs Fake Timberlands
You should pay attention to a few key details that will alert you to whether or not a Timberland Boot is the real deal. Look for a real Timberland Logo, quality in the stitching details, an embossed outsole and even the laces and eyelets that are used on the boots should be checked.

The rear of the original Timberland boot isnt really a giveaway until you look closely at the stitching.
The Timberland Company was founded in 1918 by Nathan Swartz in Boston, Massachusetts. in addition to outdoor footwear, Timberland also sells apparel such as clothes, watches, glasses, sunglasses and leather goods. In recent years, counterfeit Timberland boots have become a growing problem for both Timberland & the consumer. Below are a few steps to help identify fake Timberland boots.

The first thing to look for is overall quality. Feel and bend the leather, it should feel thick and somewhat rigid.

Logo
Fake Timberlands will almost always have a logo printed in much the same locations as the real ones, such as on the outside of the shoes at the heel or on the tongue. Starting with the first line of text, we have the main characters, and they indicate the product ID code, which is unique for each genuine Timberland pair of boots.
Looking at the letter “M” right next to the first character/s which indicate the size of the boots, you can see how the fake “M” is too thick.
On the other hand, the genuine Timberland boots have their letter “M” looking thinner, as its paint is less spread, rather than the fake pair’s paint which is stacked up too much on each part of the leather, therefore looking too thick. - Навчання та стиль

I looked at it several times, went to check mine, but... they produce many different models, although the idea is the same. I think that the degree of protection changes over the years or at least decades, so the holes for the eyelets can be different, and other parts can also change, of course there are a lot of fakes now, but how many of them were there in the 80s or 90s?
I have a 15 year old pair of timbs that are still wearable and recently bought 2 new pairs from amazon. The stitching is superb on my old ones as well as new ones and everything else seems to match for the new ones (double stitching, stitched logos inside, serial pattern, etc). Was worried amazon sold fakes.
The black boots look like plastic, cheaply made, uncomfortable sweaty boots. I got my first pair of timberlands back in ‘95 when i was 15. I just recently bought the same style about 2 months ago. I’m 43 now and the first pair lasted me 12 years. I will happily vouch for the quality of timbs premiums. I don’t follow trends either.

Hi. Differences might come due to two factors. 1- Differences in varieties from Timberland boots (but they're both original). 2- Differences and anomalies due to the fact that one is fake.

Other than being able to say “these are real” what difference does it make? I mean clearly I can see, touch, feel, and wear the booth, so it must be real right. I never really cared if something was authentic or not. The reason I say this is because most people who are so hell bent on finding and wearing something that is real aren’t even reql themselves. People should stop trying to figure out if their designer shit is real and start figuring out how to be real themselves.
The reason that people are so worried about the authenticity of their designer things are because they are expensive. A pair of 6 inch premium timberland boots are around 210 dollars. If im paying that much for something, id like it to be authentic, i understand where youre coming from with this though.
Plus the black boots are clearly fake and cheap looking, people need to take care of their feet more
