I adore that you still have your childhood books! I’ve kept all my favorites from childhood; it feels like carrying all the old versions of myself with me in what books I was obsessed with at different stages of life! 💕💕
Ohh myyyyy ... from just the colour of the pages at the start, the beige, the light browns, I can tell your books wear their long age with quiet contentment. I suppose there is 'beauty' in old things, the smell of faded pages, like a gentle summer breeze in the air. Interesting you begin the tour with James Joyce🤔
Also absolutely love Levy's autobiography trilogy, I hope she comes out with more nonfiction writing. Love to hear praise for The Body Friend, I recently got hold of the audiobook and am looking forward to it. Love your nature nonfiction collection!
Wow this is an amazing collection 😍. I’m feeling a bit jealous because I had to leave my books in my home country when I migrated for school. Now I’m forced to read ebooks because I have zero space.
I love being a voyeur and getting a look at other people’s book collections. Have you ever tried Brotherhood Books in Aus? They’re a great online resource for secondhand books. Not as good as world of books, but still pretty good, and a good charity to support - a lot of people working there are supported back into work/work for the first time at their warehouse.
u have such a cool collection I'm jealous asf!! I just came across ur channel & this was a great video & u have such calm vibes :)) also bc u said about wanting to read them soon i wanted to mention that u might be missing the 2nd acotar book (mist & fury)🙏
@@paperbacksanddaisies Half Of A Yellow Sun had a lasting impact on me, I think about it to this day. I'd also love to read Americana, though I haven't read it yet so cannot recommend the story within! I'd also recommend A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Huseini and if you haven't read it yet, Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. It does my favorite thing ever, which is pretend to write a romcom, when really he's writing a satirical treatise on social class!
it is definitely focused around romance and drama in their relationships but also has so much else going on !! there’s a lot of subplots and soo many characters and definitely not everyone in this series has HEA xx

no I haven’t actually but heard great things about them 🩷 so great to hear how supportive they are xx
I don't own a single book, although I have listened to several audiobooks, and read more than you own when I was younger. Kudos.

thank you ☺️ and Oo yes I did realise I’m missing one, still slowly trying to source them all second hand, will be on the lookout 🫶🏼
Where you get second hand books?
I love how diverse your collection is! Have you read anything by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie? I feel like you'd like her writing based on your collection
No I haven’t actually! Do you recommend any of her books I should start with? 🫶🏼

Is Magnolia Parks romance? Like HEA and everything? I'm hesitant to pick it up because I've heard it's mostly drama.
