I was having problems with the stock fuel injectors on the 4.6 tbird I have... the yellow injectors had to be set at 70psi for the engine to run normally. "the green LT1 injectors that flow 42lb/hr run on the engine at 15psi to 28psi"... even with the regulator set to 70psi the thing would run but the fuel would boil in the injector pump after a short 5 mile drive. 15-28psi for the 42lb green set... tho at 20psi to 38psi they blow a lot of fumes out the tail pipe on deceleration "eye burning" and gives a very lite haze of black smoke at idle same as the 1985 dodge 360 1ton farm truck that used to be a tow truck at one time or not. tune it by reading the voltages off the O2 sensors. from a 19lb to a 42lb set, 3 times more gas comes out of them, enough to actually stall the engine at idle if the return line is pinched. has a terminator T-800 scull cap on the fuel rail schrader valve, enough pump to flow 90 gallons an hour back to back both lift and pressure pumps. "the marine lift pump said 14 gallon a minuet on it, but i measured it at 90 gallon an hour" 40psi feed into a 130psi injection pump... to much gas. return regulator has a lot to drain back to the tank. 360'100km on the dash, thing has burned $100'000 of fuel 😵💫
Quick replace that gaping hole in the garage with another car before it gets filled with a daily driver! Nice work its coming along. Misfire…..any chance its the windstar balancer not clocked right with the reluctor ring?
I just got my 35th out of its unintended long term storage and had found a snake under the hood as well so I understand the surprise :)

Ran fine after the balancer was originally replaced on the prior so I'm confident its injectors..time will tell.
