I know this game is like 5 days old, but God that ending has me wanting a sequel. Imagine a game where you fight as an SCP with help from other SCPs like frank against the SCP foundation. But the dev has earned a break. This was a phenomenal experience in the SCP category.
It's pretty cool, but also I feel like this is the curse of modern indie horror - that nobody ever makes a game with a proper ending anymore, they just stop when they run out of budget and release whatever they have lol Like, this ending is a great cliffhanger for a *chapter* in a game, but realistically, I'd rather just keep playing after this point y'know?

my understanding is that the girl in the video tapes is basically Annie's twin/interdimensional clone that was created when her birth was recorded on the camera. basically because her mother died in child birth, Annie was born both on the "material plane" and also the Void. So essentially, there's been a baby version of again at an incredibly slow rate on the "other side" and when they touched in the water, they finally merged together into one being who is capable of shifting back and forth between dimensions at will. Basically, Melissa intentionally made her daughter into a Keter class living anomaly on purpose to be used as a weapon to be used against the foundation, and by threatening the only two staff members that were kind to her, the foundation insured that she would become her enemy. given how eager John was to unleash "horrors beyond human comprehension" I suspect he might have been a plant by whatever cult/organization Annie's mom was a part of. Maybe Rae too since she just.... Casually gave a frigging D class a loaded gun, and a car with a fuel tank of gas to do with as she pleased.

The medallion Annie had in her office also had the serpents hand engraved. Also at the first "flashback?" we saw a painting of the serpants hand on a wall. Glad someone else noticed that as well
I am 100% down with game devs who want to make SCP-universe games branching out from purely Foundation sites. Sure, the Foundation is the central focus of the main wiki, but the other Groups of Interest are SO well-developed by this point. I think I'd die happy if we got a really good game set in/around the Library. Side note: I always felt like surely SOME Foundation scientists had library cards from the Library, with the caveat that they weren't allowed to check books out or mess with other patrons. The Library may hate the Foundation, but it hates the Foundation less than it hates... um... [the old Soviet GOI that seeks to destroy anomalies rather than study/contain/coexist/worship/etc], and due to how many Foundation scientists have been characterized well enough to demonstrate that the Foundation isn't in perfect lockstep with itself, there's gotta be a handful of skip-squints that have the Library's seal of approval.
SCP-973 (Officer Smokey) was the cop by the way. It's two entities with their own sentience. The officer himself, and the car which can travel on its own and is always just a little faster than its target. 973 typically picks targets from the same road, but is known to change target locations.
I love how they added the ninfriendo gamebear advice. He's so cute and friendly, when he gets lonely the scientist made an animation that gave him a hug so his Class A event would stop and he wouldn't feel lonely anymore

Absolutely stayed up too late watching this but wow, what a ride. Absolutely incredible. The cop, SCP 973? that sort of dialogue plays out as a sort of inner monologue at the worst of depression. It was SO well done. I gotta hear more from Daniel. Go voice all the things man.
I see that bit at the bottom of the credits, I'd really love to look at the models Misfit Village made. Hope they go up, or go back up, or whatever! Loooove that stuff.
Since some people are upset, the Jesus joke DOES have context. I made this joke on Twitter (I like poking the bear over there) and someone insinuated I would never say it on video, so I did. Left out the context though LOL If you felt offended personally, I get it but it was just a silly joke, which I still think is a pretty hilarious one if I do say so myself. 2:19:15 yeah the audio in this game has been phenomenal. Between the panning of artefacts in the car during the road scene, the music steadily building tension of the sensation of a pursuit, the suspense of the strings, crushing impact of distorted guitars, it's sooooo good
Such a fantastic game with ton of easter eggs and references!few things i noticed:- 1)The doctor in the beginning of the game wearing that amulet is dr.bright(he himself is sorta immortal and kinda crazy researcher in scp-verse) 2)the "Rob-scranton" is if i remember correctly was the one that created SRA's(scranton reality anchors) that basically counter reality bending entities powers! also this ties into a sad tale about him getting trapped in red reality(scp-3001) with his machine(the one with red light as showed in the game) and sorta goes insane in that reality and comes back as the famous scp-106(the old man)! 3)the mom in this is part of "serpent's hand" organization that fights for the rights of scp's and is most of the time at odds with the foundation(they want the public to know about these scp's but they do realize that hostile scp's should be terminated and have worked together with scp foundation at times),they also have a pocket reality only they can access called wanderer's library that is connected to every other universe in scp verse! 4)in the end annie is being designated as 9237-4 which means she's a byproduct of scp-9237 and 9237-1,2,3 being others(idk what they are?,could they be her mom,dad,camera,house or something else idk) 5)the cop is a euclid class called smokey(scp-973) and his car is part of the scp aswell! he's extremely hostile scp,he most of the time just outright kills the victim or just fatally crashes his car into the victim! 6)At first i thought the deer was a replica of scp-2845(the godly deer) and the the child/annie being scp-239("the witch child"-the near omnipotent kid),but i was wrong!,also nice wedigo skull (scp-323)easter egg in that replication chamber! there are probably more references i'm missing here but you all can check out yt videos or wiki itself about the one's i mentioned above(they're all cool!)
In the chamber around 2:40:00 the artifact used to change the gravity seems to be SCP-184. It has also been used in the Story "CODE NAME: XXXX XXX - The Truth", which references it as the "real" SCP-001, hidden by the "decoy" candidates and the fact it itself is not listed as one of the candidates.
Two things are incorrect First dr Bright was retconned out of the universe due to an "incident" with his main writer (kiddie fiddling from what i remember) The character got renamed into Elias Shaw but its basically the same character Second, The serpents hand do not own the wanderers library and Anyone can access it if they know how to Its also not a pocket dimension Its at the centre of the scp universe and connected to every reality. Other than that, amazing attention to detail buddy its fun to see others appreciate this art

Man, this game is so extensive, holy shit. The small details, and the Easter Eggs (such as the mother probably being a part of The Serpent's Hand, and the first scientist being Dr. Bright!!), is such a nice touch. This game is amazing!!

I came here to make sure this comment got posted. Red Reality is such an amazingly good story and the SCP Archives podcast did a fantastic audio rendition of it.

It always makes me smile when you mention Skilly outside of a video he's not in. Your love and dedication to your friends is so refreshing and this had me gripped when John was introduced. I normally don't like SCP videos but all of yours and Skilly's are phenomenal.
This was an amazing journey. Such a good turn on the traditional structure. I was worried about the whole outcome when we saw the silver bullets and then the gun, but they utilized both in a way that helped build the narrative. I agree, one of the best SCP stories yet
One thing I am desperately waiting for is a good SCP-1461 (The House of the Worm) game. Imagine playing as an MTF agent trying to explore a newly discovered 1461, losing your team to the creatures created by the house and discovering the past of the house and how the creator had went mad. 1461 is highly underrated as an SCP especially when it comes to games. Same with other location-based SCPs like O' Death.
Also, according to the site director, the only people on site should be the skeleton crew and himself, and someone let the Not Deer out. New addition to the list, Dr. Bright is not allowed to fraternize with the SCP-6448 instance known as "Frank" for any reason, especially not for his amateur adult home video productions.
In case no one tells ya. The non Euclidean room puzzle mentioned it's a toy from Dr Wondertainment. Dr W is a canon scp. It's an anomalous toy company run by Dr W. The things they sell are usually dangerous and anomalously handed to children. Although, they can be given to adults. I assume the Gamebear Advice is also from Dr W.
I've been following the SCP lore for over 15 years now all the way back in 4chan days. I've seen plenty of projects, movies, games, and YT videos and a lot of them were good. Not taking anything away from them at all. But this... this hit a narrative in such a way that makes it the best I've ever seen. Through the eyes of an SCP yourself, the subterfuge the foundation would totally do to manipulate you, the meta narratives, even the flamingos. Oh my god the MUSIC. I feel like I'm criminally understating its praises. Thank you so much for putting this video out.

So dang many SCP characters they slid into this game, but it all was so streamline and fluid. Was not "awkward". I remember watching the original demo you played and I honestly wasn't that impressed but, oh my god, the full version is phenomenal. This is what an SCP game should be and its the kind of thing creators should be doing with the concept. Genuinely can't believe how top notch everything was.

Oh snap! Yo, that was one of the craziest SCP stories to unfold in a game. The music really did its part by adding that subtle eeriness to the already foreboding atmosphere. Some of the puzzles being a bit tricky, but manageable, had clever originality suited to the story. I particularly enjoyed the 4th wall break with that abrupt cut to the title screen. I woulda been pissed, too, if the game ended like that. The real ending was actually satisfying and left just enough for possibly more to come. I'd like to see what Annie will do next with her newly awoken powers.
SCP-914 AKA The Machine is a Anomalous Item that Lets you Put an Item in and either Make it Less, Completely Destroy or Make Better, or Completely Change it in a Benefitical way
I just got back from a long trip ready to go to bed, and see that IGP released a new video and I think: oh ya it’ll be a nice little break before bed. Then I look at the playtime and see THAT, and I feel the pain in my heart for I know what must be done, but I don’t know if my Sunday morning self has the strength to do it

The dude at 18:20 is Dr Jack Bright! Notice the pendant (SCP-963)! Also, the red console in the void is a reference to SCP-3001. And Annie's mom was part of The Serpent's Hand, an organisation headquartered in the Wanderer's Library (interdimensional library that contains all the knowledge of all the universes) that promotes the use of SCP items instead of their containment or destruction... Also the cop is SCP-973... I like that they pushed so much excellent easter eggs into this one, and that it didn't devolve into a chase simulator that all other SCP games inevitably turn into... This was more in line with Control, but with better attention to lore and adhesion to the SCP universe...

Rob Scranton was the creator of the Scranton Reality Anchor devices, which are used to literally anchor reality in areas where anomalous energies are high enough to disrupt it. They are also used to nullify all ontokinesis (reality bending) abilities SCPs may possess.

After doing a quick scouting through the comments, I have noticed a certain detail has been missed by the more popular comments. Annie's mother works with the Serpent's Hand. It's why she used the camera to turn her daughter into such a dangerous anomaly and how she was able to interact with anomalous creatures. I know very little about the Serpent's Hand, but I know they use anomalies to fight against the SCP Foundation and how they go about their control of the natural order. The symbolism became clear when the emblem imagery became clear along with other serpent shaped structures in the other worlds. I love that we have a game that is from the perspective of the Serpent's Hand. That's one heck of a rarity!
I just wrote a whole paragrath about my favorite book “There is no antimemetics division” because of what was said at 16:35 but it disappeared, im not gonna rewrite the entire thing, just a bit if it. The book is about the antimemetics division who are fighting a war against this unkillable idea called “The Escapee” or SCP-3125. This i wont say much more because i dont have the energy to rewrite the entire comment but the story starts if you scroll all the way down on the page of SCP-055 and if you wanna go to SCP-3125’s page you will have to type in a code due to in lore this thing being lethal if you know about its existence, but the code is 55555 as the first chapter of the story is called “Five five five five five”

The cop, SCP 973? that sort of dialogue plays out as a sort of inner monologue at the worst of depression. It was SO well done. I gotta hear more from Daniel. Go voice all the things man.

2:19:15 yeah the audio in this game has been phenomenal. Between the panning of artefacts in the car during the road scene, the music steadily building tension of the sensation of a pursuit, the suspense of the strings, crushing impact of distorted guitars, it's sooooo good
Such a fantastic game with ton of easter eggs and references!few things i noticed:-
1)The doctor in the beginning of the game wearing that amulet is dr.bright(he himself is sorta immortal and kinda crazy researcher in scp-verse)
2)the "Rob-scranton" is if i remember correctly was the one that created SRA's(scranton reality anchors) that basically counter reality bending entities powers!
also this ties into a sad tale about him getting trapped in red reality(scp-3001) with his machine(the one with red light as showed in the game) and sorta goes insane in that reality and comes back as the famous scp-106(the old man)!
3)the mom in this is part of "serpent's hand" organization that fights for the rights of scp's and is most of the time at odds with the foundation(they want the public to know about these scp's but they do realize that hostile scp's should be terminated and have worked together with scp foundation at times),they also have a pocket reality only they can access called wanderer's library that is connected to every other universe in scp verse!
4)in the end annie is being designated as 9237-4 which means she's a byproduct of scp-9237 and 9237-1,2,3 being others(idk what they are?,could they be her mom,dad,camera,house or something else idk)
5)the cop is a euclid class called smokey(scp-973) and his car is part of the scp aswell! he's extremely hostile scp,he most of the time just outright kills the victim or just fatally crashes his car into the victim!
6)At first i thought the deer was a replica of scp-2845(the godly deer) and the the child/annie being scp-239("the witch child"-the near omnipotent kid),but i was wrong!,also nice wedigo skull (scp-323)easter egg in that replication chamber!
there are probably more references i'm missing here but you all can check out yt videos or wiki itself about the one's i mentioned above(they're all cool!)

In the chamber around 2:40:00 the artifact used to change the gravity seems to be SCP-184. It has also been used in the Story "CODE NAME: XXXX XXX - The Truth", which references it as the "real" SCP-001, hidden by the "decoy" candidates and the fact it itself is not listed as one of the candidates.
Frank is an instance of 6448 "Not Deer" and he's great.
Two things are incorrect
First dr Bright was retconned out of the universe due to an "incident" with his main writer (kiddie fiddling from what i remember)
The character got renamed into Elias Shaw but its basically the same character
Second, The serpents hand do not own the wanderers library and
Anyone can access it if they know how to
Its also not a pocket dimension
Its at the centre of the scp universe and connected to every reality.
Other than that, amazing attention to detail buddy its fun to see others appreciate this art

I have never been so glued to my screen for an SCP game / movie. By far my favorite SCP story and IGP you killed it on this playthrough. Just good shit all around!

That Not Deer scene was surprisingly wholesome.
Man, this game is so extensive, holy shit. The small details, and the Easter Eggs (such as the mother probably being a part of The Serpent's Hand, and the first scientist being Dr. Bright!!), is such a nice touch. This game is amazing!!
1:40:00 That is an Easter egg for SCP-3001, Red Reality. A good read if you are into SCP files that rely more on the supplemental logs that tell a story.
Fun fact: Rob scraton was a doctor at the foundation and founder of the Scraton-reality-ancor. A device that allowes to minimise or even nutrelise effects of reality benders. And founder of the humme a unit of measurement to describe how "real" something is

Omg yea the reality anchors...man. this playthrough put me in a state of frisson or almost like meloncholy bc it was so well done. I remember reading scp's like....man....YEARS ago when there was only like 200. Its just such a cool idea. A true testament to the creative ability of a "true fanbase". We are all SCP's, my friends.

It always makes me smile when you mention Skilly outside of a video he's not in. Your love and dedication to your friends is so refreshing and this had me gripped when John was introduced. I normally don't like SCP videos but all of yours and Skilly's are phenomenal.
This was an amazing journey. Such a good turn on the traditional structure. I was worried about the whole outcome when we saw the silver bullets and then the gun, but they utilized both in a way that helped build the narrative. I agree, one of the best SCP stories yet

One thing I am desperately waiting for is a good SCP-1461 (The House of the Worm) game. Imagine playing as an MTF agent trying to explore a newly discovered 1461, losing your team to the creatures created by the house and discovering the past of the house and how the creator had went mad.
1461 is highly underrated as an SCP especially when it comes to games. Same with other location-based SCPs like O' Death.

In case no one tells ya. The non Euclidean room puzzle mentioned it's a toy from Dr Wondertainment. Dr W is a canon scp. It's an anomalous toy company run by Dr W. The things they sell are usually dangerous and anomalously handed to children. Although, they can be given to adults. I assume the Gamebear Advice is also from Dr W.
It's so nice to have a game that showcases other SCP anomalies besides the more "popular" ones. This was epic!
I've been following the SCP lore for over 15 years now all the way back in 4chan days. I've seen plenty of projects, movies, games, and YT videos and a lot of them were good. Not taking anything away from them at all. But this... this hit a narrative in such a way that makes it the best I've ever seen. Through the eyes of an SCP yourself, the subterfuge the foundation would totally do to manipulate you, the meta narratives, even the flamingos. Oh my god the MUSIC. I feel like I'm criminally understating its praises. Thank you so much for putting this video out.

So dang many SCP characters they slid into this game, but it all was so streamline and fluid. Was not "awkward". Like the Stanton Easter ege, you were in between realities just like he was and all he had was that device with the red light. So cool. Thanks for playing this. We need more SCP games like this! I remember watching the original demo you played and I honestly wasn't that impressed but, oh my god, the full version is phenomenal. This is what an SCP game should be and its the kind of thing creators should be doing with the concept. Genuinely can't believe how top notch everything was.

Oh snap! Yo, that was one of the craziest SCP stories to unfold in a game. The music really did its part by adding that subtle eeriness to the already foreboding atmosphere. Some of the puzzles being a bit tricky, but manageable, had clever originality suited to the story. I particularly enjoyed the 4th wall break with that abrupt cut to the title screen. I woulda been pissed, too, if the game ended like that. The real ending was actually satisfying and left just enough for possibly more to come. I'd like to see what Annie will do next with her newly awoken powers.

The dude at 18:20 is Dr Jack Bright! Notice the pendant (SCP-963)! Also, the red console in the void is a reference to SCP-3001. And Annie's mom was part of The Serpent's Hand, an organisation headquartered in the Wanderer's Library (interdimensional library that contains all the knowledge of all the universes) that promotes the use of SCP items instead of their containment or destruction... Also the cop is SCP-973... I like that they pushed so much excellent easter eggs into this one, and that it didn't devolve into a chase simulator that all other SCP games inevitably turn into... This was more in line with Control, but with better attention to lore and adhesion to the SCP universe...

Rob Scranton was the creator of the Scranton Reality Anchor devices, which are used to literally anchor reality in areas where anomalous energies are high enough to disrupt it. They are also used to nullify all ontokinesis (reality bending) abilities SCPs may possess.

After doing a quick scouting through the comments, I have noticed a certain detail has been missed by the more popular comments.
Annie's mother works with the Serpent's Hand. It's why she used the camera to turn her daughter into such a dangerous anomaly and how she was able to interact with anomalous creatures.
I know very little about the Serpent's Hand, but I know they use anomalies to fight against the SCP Foundation and how they go about their control of the natural order. The symbolism became clear when the emblem imagery became clear along with other serpent shaped structures in the other worlds.
I love that we have a game that is from the perspective of the Serpent's Hand. That's one heck of a rarity!
I just wrote a whole paragrath about my favorite book “There is no antimemetics division” because of what was said at 16:35 but it disappeared, im not gonna rewrite the entire thing, just a bit if it. The book is about the antimemetics division who are fighting a war against this unkillable idea called “The Escapee” or SCP-3125. This i wont say much more because i dont have the energy to rewrite the entire comment but the story starts if you scroll all the way down on the page of SCP-055 and if you wanna go to SCP-3125’s page you will have to type in a code due to in lore this thing being lethal if you know about its existence, but the code is 55555 as the first chapter of the story is called “Five five five five five”
