That intial right hand break by the F-5s into a seperation circuit was perfectly executed, love the Tiger
Something about F-15's and that Dynamic braking....freaking cool
All that gorgeous flight hardware and the ones that tripped my trigger the most were F-5s, F-5s, F-5s. What a beautiful airplane.
That F-18 was a carrier pilot for sure. They will need to fix the holes he punched in the runway.
a real navy landing
I love the F-15’s beautiful jets
It's sorta funny how a couple of times, there were approaching military jets, but the sound was prop planes passing close to the camera. Love this EAA stuff you do!
Sick!!
You can see NAVY getting on Deck.
Brilliant Stuff ASV.
Here specifically for the F-5's
Excellent video From those of us who couldn't attend.Great job keep up the Great work
At the airshows I hope for severe clear, but on video the clouds give so much better reference to speed and motion. Your camera work is spectacular.
Fantastic. 2 thumbs up to the camera man. Video footage was great! Thanks for taking me to the airshow. I felt like i was there. Good quality camera it really looked like i was front row.
Can't wait to be there this year, I'll be there Friday and Saturday!
F5 is so badass I’ve seen 4 of them down at McGhee Tyson guard base
Beautiful videography--thanks!
F5's are badass!
I'm a Radial lover but Afterburning Fighter aircraft sound amazing
Oshkosh looks like a great event.
Nice video. I miss the F-15s out here at Luke AFB.
Damn I wish I flew f-5’s for the navy aggressor squadron best looking plane best looking paint jobs
When I saw the shark mouth and rising sun on the second one I was like "hmm, that looks like VF-111's old markings" then saw "VFC-111" on the side and was like "WTF?!" so did a quick Google search and sure enough they inherited the squadron's name and markings, just like how VFA-103 became the new Jolly Rogers after VF-84 was disbanded.
F5...what a amazing plane!
Wow! MiG-28s! No one's even been that close before.
I hope this is a joke
@@yeah-7544 Seriously??
@@dbpolitico ummmm, yeah?
@@yeah-7544 ua-cam.com/video/enhRwnkmToM/v-deo.html
@@dbpolitico oh, I didn't get the reference at first, I just thought that OP was stupid and thought F-5s were mig-28s
Y'all realize those F-5s are probably older than their pilots? Most of the F-5s that USAF and Navy used were built in the late 70s. Damned fine aircraft. Uncle Sam's gotten his money's worth out of those.
great stuff -thanks for sharing ! Wales UK.
Great video. I enjoyed watching that.
LA ANG Eagles. Flying for the guard is the greatest job in aviation.
The first Navy F5 clobbered the deck. Go Navy.
Happy Easter
Ahhh....Eagles are so fine! And there's nothing like watching Naval Aviators stick landings in these videos.
Of course the F-15s had to flyby twice, just in their nature I guess. That plane loves to fly.
lol I love how the f-18's barely try to flare
I know f-18's are built to take it, but that was a hard landing 1:17. Bent but didn't break!!
LOVE IT
is it just me or did that SH at the start touch down super hard.
flew carrier trap
Wow, the Super Hornet can turn pretty tight with five external tanks, I wonder why it brought those.
One of the themes of the show was "Year of the Tanker", celebrating aerial refueling tankers. The Super Hornet fills that role aboard the carrier, so this one brought a full "tanker" loadout to the show. I think it was originally supposed to fly and demonstrate buddy tanking with another Super Hornet, but all of the Navy aircraft ended up staying on static display only. You can see the tankers that did fly on our channel: ua-cam.com/video/_qj_88Dojho/v-deo.html
They need to make a more modern version of the F-5... It would make a awesome interceptor
They make it, years ago. Call Grumman X 29. Sad ☹️
@@alexandertheissl5517
No the x29 was a reverse wing done back in the 80's.. Try again... I know about aircraft... I grew up around them... They also tried the F-20 which was even better, but need a new more sophisticated one
@@thesirmaddog8209 I know that. I only think it looks very cool with forward swept wings , and the fuselage looks very similar like a f5 or f 20 yes your right about that. The X 29 was very manouverful, but I think also very difficult to build and controled. But sad this concept are not going in production ☹️.
@@alexandertheissl5517
The F-20 was a lot better, and do wish they would do something similar to it
F22 makes everything else in air obsolete
I grandad flew dc-3s I think he called it a c-46 said he was all over Europe and Africa towing gliders in the 40’s I guess it was some tourism business or something
Nice
The F-5 looks like it needs a sandwich and few years in the gym compared to the F-15's wicked powerful low speed maneuvers. The F-5 can't turn 1/4 as good at 2 times the speed no matter how many ad videos Northrop made.
First guy trapped the #3 arresting cable for sure. On another note he definitely showed everybody that reinforced landing gear is legit.
Alex H I was thinking something very similar. 😂
That last F-5 landing was a little rough
Yeah I saw that too, scared me a little
Those guys were VFC113 Sundowners, a reserve adversary squadron out of NAS Key West. One of the best jobs in the Navy. That guy was probably flying a United 777 the day before and then had to take a commercial flight down to pick up the jet. Might have been tired :0).
@@tailhookmd2546 He did the dynamic braking before touchdown, pretty cool
talon0863 I think he arrested a sink rate that was too fast. Aerodynamic braking is done on the ground on rollout. I’m not criticizing. That dudes got the best job in the USN whether trad res or FTS or maybe even active duty. I would bet most of the sundowners are FWS grads. The reserve squadrons usually get to hand pick.
@@tailhookmd2546 Yes I agree with you on all that. Aggressor pilot is a dream job for sure. I think the F-5 lands at 140-150 knots and I was being a little sarcastic about the dynamic braking. I was a T-38 crew chief and would often watch them land. The F-5 is my second favorite fighter. Its can take off from grass runways.
Nice CAG
se ben mas espectaculares los f5 si hay una diferiencia
its a shame they dont put missiles on the jets for the bombed-up look, inert / training rounds of course, would still look great.
lol.. can you imagine the paperwork! cool thought
Nice!
@13:20 umm... I'm not a pilot but it looks like he stalled the sh** out of that F-5.
I think those F-5E Tigers are probably Ex-Swiss Air Force Planes :)
GameFlyer Yes they are, only reason I know that is because my dad pants the sun on the tail and does all the stencil work.
Anyone know why the f-15s had to go around so many times?
To put on a show for us!
burn gas for a lower landing weight and mostly to make noise!
funny how much smoother the Air Force guys in the F-15's were on their landings vs the F-18's
15 gear isn't as durable as 18 so there's your answer
@@SSaugaCriss But F-15's look so much cooler on the low approaches and circuits in the pattern!
brought that F-18 down hard!
My flight instructor told me he has a lot of former navy pilot students, and they just can't flare.
You know that's a carrier style landing and you're being funny, right?
@@talon0863 no that was a 4 external fuel tanks heavy ass landing.
@@datkinson1980 No, that was a carrier landing.
The first landing was nasty....hows your spine doing?
hows your knowledge of aviation doing?
That's how carrier aircraft land..... look at the gear
