Well I mean the fans are the reason they even still have a career, I'd think it's best not to alienate the majority of your audience that has been here from the beginning by calling them out.
@@TechDove people whining with anonymous accounts on youtube don't equate to the general fanbase. AA was never owned by their "fans" tho. AA isn't a business, theyre a band lol and they dont have to cater to you and anyone else you *think is behind you.
The sound, musicianship, and production are all solid. Reminds me of A7X instrumentally and I will say it seems like they've found their groove for the first time since stand up and scream and reckless and relentless days!!
I'd love to hear a full on orchestral version of this song. The addition of the strings in the background is what gives me chills with this song I cant imagine what it would sound like if they got together with a full on symphony to cover this just like architects did with animals. Completely changed the feel of that song
Thank you AA. This is what I call a perfect blend between everything you‘ve done. This rawness. This style suits you perfectly, I think you‘re onto something incredible with this style!!
This was a banger. People are saying it’s “trash” because it doesn’t have screaming. A song doesn’t need to have screams in order to be good. Instrumentally it’s heavier than the last album and if you expected screams like the days of R&R and SUAS, Danny has said multiple times that they are done with that era. This song was a banger and that solo was nice and the double bass James did in the solo at 3:47 really was satisfying to hear especially as a drummer myself.
Music is subjective, so your statement is wrong to others and right to others. So stop wasting your time trying to correct people's personal point of view on entertainment they enjoy.
@@itsonlyhugs9486 music is not subjective. Individual opinions in music are subjective. If you're going to make a comment as such, at least choose the correct words.
@@itsonlyhugs9486 also, the people who are hating on AA in the comments merely because the lyrics lack screaming completely lack empathy and understanding that it is not about them. They don't have to like it and the comments are not necessary. If you don't like the music, you can leave constructively critical comments AA can consider and move on. Screaming for music is actually harmful and can ruin your voice. Maybe the band nor Danny are into that as much as they were in the past. AA, nor any artist, do not release music to appease everyone. For many artists and bands, it is a way of life and remedy/therapy. It is their career that shouldn't be hated on because someone doesn't like it.
@@itsonlyhugs9486 except the people who hate AA now only because they don’t scream no more when there’s other bands to please them and AA’s older albums doesn’t verify their opinions. @@brysonwilliams6163 ehhh not totally true there are totally proper techniques that really shouldn’t be more harmful and well any sort of vocal performance.
My thoughts on this song is that it feels like a good blend from Like A House On Fire (dad rock vocals) and the self title album (Instrumental). As a long time AA fan, the latest record wasn't for me. It sounded way too mainstream and it was bittersweet and something I wouldn't listen to but this song, it's quite solid from start to finish. In awe! The vocals are point, Danny nailed it, such a catchy chorus. The guitar work was beyond greatness because Ben is a beast and so are Sam, Cam and James. Stoked for more music! Despite the metalcore touch being gone but the heaviness still there somehow. 🎧
I wouldn't say Sevenfold for the solo. Because Syn is way too technical of a guitarist plus the lack of harmonies etc. Great solo nonetheless. But it's definitely more Metallica or maybe even Pantera like
This song seems to be rated higher than other songs on the album. It is top 3 if not the best, but I encourage everyone to listen to all of the songs and decide for yourself. The whole album is absolutely legendary!
Im loving this it's crazy cuz the past couple days I've been going thru a situation that song fits perfectly hell yeah!!!!! AA love y'all no matter what!! All the way from old to new!!
This song has actually got me excited for whatever’s coming honestly. The last album just felt really generic and bland and I think this is a good example of a song not needing to be super heavy but just unique and fun enough to listen to, when have we ever had a solo like that in an AA song?
I just feel the same about the solo, i was waiting for a fucking pretty breakdown and the solo comes... i mean this is not a bad song, this is a good song but it's new for me And more why they change the A?????
Absolute BANGER of a track. It took me by surprise from the get go. Totally fits in with From Death to Destiny and Self Titled with a sprinkle of Like a House On Fire
After checking out the teaser on FB, so far I'm liking it, it's bringing back a little bit of heaviness in the musical aspect. I don't expect much screaming but that's fine,There were a few decent songs on the last album but I was mostly disappointed with it.
I don't even care if its heavy at this point, I just hope this is more interesting than the last album... (Edit: Now this is definetly better! Wow what a chorus! Sick solo too!)
I was not a fan of the last album at all, and I thought the self-titled was just okay. That being said, this is pretty damn good. I haven't been excited for new AA music in a LONG time, but has me pretty stoked. Great song!
Well, honestly this is something I wasn't really expecting. This song is awesome af, you did it right this time guys. I'm really looking forward to the new album.

@@szilardgurbai3190 Never gonna happen unfortunately. I want another Reckless and Relentless.

Agreed man🔥
Would you mind checking out a drum cover of this song? 🥁🥁👇🏻👇🏻

Well said.
I just love this band, their songs mysteriously go according to what happens to me, I have no words. I love asking Alexandria even more with Danny back. I hope one day see the band in concert.
Is the same with me! They always appear at the best moment
The resentment I have for human kind is very strong when this song plays.
That chorus is something out of this world. This album is gonna be awesome for sure. And AA doing a solo instead of a breakdown? **Astonished pikachu face. The solo kinda gave kirk hammett vibes (the wah maybe). But my question is...If the last thing you wanted was to sit alone in a room and now you need some time to be alone again, can you explain your mental state? Coz even after all these years, YOU NEVER SAID GOODBYE!
LMAO
I KNOW YOU'RE

OOOOOOOOOOOOWN
LOL
Now this actually has passion in it. I don’t know what that last album was about. This sounds awesome \m/
Well... It wasn't bad, drums and guitars are much better in this one than the last album, and Danny's voice was more consistent.
he finally got his way, he can do mainly clean vocals, and it doesn't sound like dad rock! (cough harlot or whatever the hell it was)
@@hughneutron5303 I think Ben Bruce should do a clean vocal I think that's much better!
@@ellafebriani7570 agree!
@@Zim___ Danny is now making Asking Alexandria sounds like Dad Rock Band, I want Asking Alexandria to sound more energetic and young like it used to be, like Danny 2009-2011 era or Denis Stoff era

Just epic
Ben fucking killed that solo, brought it back to life and then killed it again. Danny sounds fantastic. This album is gonna fucking rock!!
Never in a million years would've expect a guitar solo!!! That was a resfreshing track form u guys
They had a guitar solo in One Turns to None from the last album.
"What I love, you seem to hate, what I hate, you seem to love" this is certainly the fan backlash of late, I loved both albums for various different reasons, well done lads song is 🔥
💯 true dude
Well I mean the fans are the reason they even still have a career, I'd think it's best not to alienate the majority of your audience that has been here from the beginning by calling them out.
💯true indeed 🔥🔥
@@TechDove people whining with anonymous accounts on youtube don't equate to the general fanbase. AA was never owned by their "fans" tho. They do what they want, I find that to be true artistry, and you whiney haters to be the opposite of encouragement artistic freedom- yall just seem like bullies to me. AA isn't a business, theyre a band lol and they dont have to cater to you and anyone else you *think is behind you.
@@a_blaze okay. Thanks for your response.
Absolutely such a good song. I love the intro, the guitar solo, and the overall rock n roll feel to it! I'm so excited for their new album!
Danny has said multiple times that they will not go back to screaming like the R&R and SUAS days. Stop wasting YOUR time trying to change a musician’s sound when they moved on from that phase.
@@brysonwilliams6163 ehhh not totally true there are totally proper techniques that really shouldn’t be more harmful and well any sort of vocal performance.
Man, the guitar riff and the solo...without words for u Mr Ben Bruce
Danny's voice just gives me chills 🥺💛
the guitar solo sounds like avenged sevenfold. LOVE THIS SONG. FUCKING AMAZING
I was thinking the same thing from the beginning! Totally A7X vibes
Yessir
Not just the solo, also the main riff
A7X plays intricate melodic solos with sweeps and arpeggios. This was just a way pedal and sustained notes. Nothing special.
I wouldn't say Sevenfold for the solo. Because Syn is way too technical of a guitarist plus the lack of harmonies etc. Great solo nonetheless. But it's definitely more Metallica or maybe even Pantera like
This song is so addictive 🖤
My favorite part: 3:15 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I love Asking Alexandria 🇲🇽🖤
When ben bruce evolve to be syn gates 🔥
This song seems to be rated higher than other songs on the album. It is top 3 if not the best, but I encourage everyone to listen to all of the songs and decide for yourself. The whole album is absolutely legendary!
I’ve been listening to y’all since I was 13 I’m 28 now I absolutely love you guys keep it up
Im loving this it's crazy cuz the past couple days I've been going thru a situation that song fits perfectly hell yeah!!!!! AA love y'all no matter what!! All the way from old to new!!
They have been changing so much but I still dig them, Danny is a machine at any style he sings, country /blues/ metalcore and rock..... Your a beast
You're*
But I agree.
This song has actually got me excited for whatever’s coming honestly. The last album just felt really generic and bland and I think this is a good example of a song not needing to be super heavy but just unique and fun enough to listen to, when have we ever had a solo like that in an AA song?
@@PROITMSP it can still be an amazing album even being generic and boring
@@PROITMSP totally agree ♥️ What a masterpiece
Same I’m very happy and this song relates to me a lot
I just feel the same about the solo, i was waiting for a fucking pretty breakdown and the solo comes... i mean this is not a bad song, this is a good song but it's new for me
And more why they change the A?????
I think the only other 'solo' they had was in One Turns to None from the last album.
An Asking Alexandria song with a guitar solo?! I never thought I'd see the day!
The way Asking Alexandria is evolving is just mental!
A solo? Now that's what I'm talking about, really awesome song
Full cover with tabs on my page 🤘 please check it out!
Absolute BANGER of a track. It took me by surprise from the get go. Totally fits in with From Death to Destiny and Self Titled with a sprinkle of Like a House On Fire
This is unlike anything they've ever done and I'm here for it.
Honestly if they went from being compared to Fall Out Boy to Avenged Sevenfold it just proves that these guys can pull out anything really.
After checking out the teaser on FB, so far I'm liking it, it's bringing back a little bit of heaviness in the musical aspect. I don't expect much screaming but that's fine,There were a few decent songs on the last album but I was mostly disappointed with it.
Full song is on spotify
I don't even care if its heavy at this point, I just hope this is more interesting than the last album...
(Edit: Now this is definetly better! Wow what a chorus! Sick solo too!)
The last 2 albums were so effin fire
@@laurenperez9581 a dumpster fire
I was hoping they would do a bit more of self titled. That direction had a bit of everything
@@shimaku2252 Oh yeah absolutely, self titled is one of the best they've ever put out imo
Moving on isn't heavy but still it's my favorite song by them.
I was not a fan of the last album at all, and I thought the self-titled was just okay. That being said, this is pretty damn good.
I haven't been excited for new AA music in a LONG time, but has me pretty stoked. Great song!

Sick first single! That intro, that catchy chorus, and don't get me started on that solo! This is 🔥🔥🔥
better be ''heavy'' , and i dont mean i want from them to bring old asking alexandria or something,i just want something different but with cool heavy guitars and danny amazing voice or maybe screaming :D

Danny has said he's never liked this music. He was supposed to be the guitarist and got thrown into vocals and had no idea what he was doing and then once SUAS came out and did good, they kept it going until Danny was just basically like "fuck this"
Sucks cuz R&R was one of my favorite albums ever
Bit of Metallica vibes, bit of A7X vibes, even a bit of prog with those drums and the atmosphere, loved it
i thought the same thing! caught me by surprise
I thought the same thing with the guitar solo. It caught me by surprise. You don’t really hard AA guitar solos often. They have a couple, but nothing like this. This was badass
I'm in love with this new style of AA
it feels like they put all the elements from the previous album together
The Black Dark Vibes
FDTD Hardrock/Metalcore riffs
Big choruses like SUAS and R&R
It's just awesome 🔥🔥🤟
I'm now 58 an old school 80s rocker this kicks and ticks every kick ass box 🤘😈🎸
Oh my ...
i´ve been waiting for this guitar solo since i was a 14y old omg !
amazing SOLO !!!
LETS GO
AA
I was not expecting this to be this good. Damn I love this version of AA. I love that guitar tone.
This album is going to be great, I could care less about a single breakdown. Their chemistry feels right again.
It sounds like they are going back to self titled but also merging it with some insperation from the from death to destiny album which sounds like a fucking amazing album. But still doing modern alternative rock, grunge, 80s rock and roll.
I thought metal is already dead then I heard this and couldn’t resist myself to make a drum cover of it. Have you ever seen an Indian drummer playing an Asking Alexandria’s song?? Do checkout here👇🏻👇🏻❣️

Self titled was way better this doesn't sound anything like that lol this is like some wack avenged sevenfold butt rock shit they've completely turned away from actual metal.
@UCKqqM4tvMFETlps5yKH9nJw and whats actual metal? Ok they sound completely different than what they have put out in the last decade, life happens they have changed and most are not happy and I understand that buuuut so has avenged sevenfold and most people don't like there new shit either just like
Asking Alexandria. But asking has always been a band where they have always written music for themselves its really never been about the fans they have always been in it for themselves the reason why they had grown such a whole following is because...people loved their shit. Asking also has been that band where if you like than great continue to stay tuned for our upcoming shit if you don't than OK than fuck off don't like it don't listen.
That beginning part is badass! 😬
Asking Alexandria nails it EVERY time.🔥🎸

OMG! What have I just heard! This one is simply epic! Instant hit! The diffence in the vibe of Asking Alexandria playing ballads and this is just out of this world, huge respect.
Been a huge fan since stand up and scream and I can say you guys are not disappointing the OG fans
This song is WAY better than I anticipated it being. That chorus has such a great hook.
Man that breakdown into the chorus is so smooth and hits so hard instant classic 💯
Holy shit! I hear some a7x feels. Definitely a wake up kind of song from a rut.
love the haunting tone
I needed this today. The lyrics are spot on to where I currently am in my head.
Wow what a vast improvement from the last albums sound and hopefully more to come. Got a bit of a A7X vibe cant believe I'm looking forward to new AA music in 2021 after the album the shall not be named.
This song is freaking dope touches a lot of points of my life
What..? Bring me the horizon have a evolution too
Can already tell this song is a show opener
They can make a masterpiece with anything. Ben Bruce coming in clutch with this song!
See? Told you guy, just put some more AA into your music, and we are all here to welcome it! Good job! Massive improvement!
One of their better tracks in a while! Good to hear the production cleaned up.
With the last album being such a letdown it's nice to hear something like this.
That riff is fucking sick
I'm so addicted to this song it plays in my head all the time!
