+MrGhizmo I feel like Germans would especially like Rand over Bernie because of Bernie voting for the Freedom act (NSA spying) and Rand actually filibustered against NSA illegal bulk data collection. If what I've seen and read was correct you guys were really pissed when the Snowden leaks came out and you found of the U.S. was spying on Germany.
It's not my main issue but yes. there was a lot of outrage and you should think that the German media would cover a guy like Paul for his endeavor about that. Nothing. The mainstream German knows about Trump and Clinton and that Republican = racist warmongerer. Never mind that Rand is actually the most level-headed guy when it comes to foreign policy. People don't actually like the man in the middle.

I was on the fence. I love Bernie Sanders but realize now he may be a bit too Socialist. I love Rand's minimal govt. stances. I will be voting for him in Iowa.

The middle is where nothing gets done, no progression. There is no "too socialist", you can't be too socialist because it's an idea that fights for the people, if you don't care about yourself or your wellbeing or the wellbeing of your family or others then who will? Who fucking cares if he's socialist? He wouldn't get any votes if he ran independent, because the media would shut him down, no light of day. If you were voting for Bernie you would understand his policies and how solid they are. That being said Rand Paul isn't bad, I like the guy, he's literally a decent human being compared to the rest of the GOP. Hopefully it comes down to these 2 guys, because they are actual candidates and not circus acts.

When Colbert asked about Ron Paul I had a flashback to the good times when Ron Paul was running for president and he appeared on the Colbert Report and Daily Show where the revolution was running wild! The honesty of Ron Paul and his intellectual consistency was respected by many people on both sides of the political spectrum. However, the country chose to elect Obama again over a man who stood for peace and freedom. *Sigh I miss the Ron Paul revolution so much!

A true conservative. A protector of what is American to all people. It's up to us in the polls to support this guy, what is taking everyone so long to do so? Is entertainment what you need to thrive in life to make the most out of it? Maybe it helps you get by, but there are so many substitutes to entertainment. There's only 1 President at a time, I think we need the best we can get to turn things around. Hand down, Rand Paul is the best contender we can possibly support. He speaks and acts on more things I'm in favor of than anyone else.

I have respected Rand for his doctoral work and, while I am not a libertarian, I would accept him much much more than any of the other republicans.
I voted for Obama in the last election, it was my first election. In this next election I would be happy to vote for this man. I stand with Rand.

I've seen him state several times that he would legalize medicinal maryj and as far as recreational use he rightfully thinks it should be left up to the states to decide and the Fed should have no say so

The pot thing is a joke in Colbert's take on the second GOP debate, in which Rand Paul said a presidential candidate smoked pot in high school without naming names and then Jeb Bush came forward and admitted that it was him.
