Thank you so much man, I ate some chips and my mouth somehow managed a feat of pure engineering and bent the wire straight into my gums, every time I bit down it hurt, so i used a paperclip to try and bend it back but I accidentally took it out. So, for anyone struggling with this, don't be afraid to actually bend the wire!! It's incredibly sturdy and I used it's bending ability to thread it right through, and it's back to normal!! Get yourself a pair of tweezers!!
I apologize for the amount of questions I have due to the lack of knowledge, but this situation happened to me last week. However, the wire is not bothering me but I still tried to fix it and didn't succeed. I'm planning to go to the clinic this coming 29 since it's my 2nd adjustment. Do you think I'll be fine even though I didn't go immediately and I address the problem during my adjustment? I'm scared that my orthodontist might get mad. Thank you!
I tried many times to get the wire back into the bracket, problem is I had to put it back into 3 brackets and 1 moler tube and I couldn’t do it and the wire was really long so I cut it🫠 is that bad?, is my orthodontist gonna get mad.
I doubt they'll be mad, but doing that might slow down your progress. If you are due for your next appt. soon, I wouldn't worry about it. If you're not scheduled to see them for several weeks, you might call them to ask if you need to come in soon.
How does this happen? And why does it keep happening? It's happend to both sides before and I didn't try to fix it and just went to my dentist, but then it just happened again but I'm not sure why or how.
Can i ask your opinion on a cementoblastoma with braces? The maxillary surgeon my son saw approved of braces even though he has a cemetoblastoma in the space of number 19, but would that cause any damage for it to get moved by braces? Hes a really good surgeon and knows his sh*t, but i cant find any info on this sort of thing. He didnt feel the tumor needed to be removed because all the adult teeth are fully in and it is just between the root, tiny little thing. So he doesnt want to do anything invasive if it isnt causing any issues. He is going to just monitor it for now and if it doesnt cause any problems, he will only pull it if it appears to be growing by the next xray in 2 years. I appreciate any advice
I dont know what kind of wire I have but my appointment isnt for another few months, i only got the new wire in a month ago. Should I ring and ask to come in and get it fixed? I think the wire has come off the 2nd to last tooth as well
i want to do it but it's so difficult and my mouth is in the way 😑 don't wanna travel almost 2 hrs to my dentist ugh. will this prevent/slow down whatever the braces is supposed to do?
Hi, this just happened to me. It's really hard for me to put it back, and the wire is not flexible. My next appointment is in next week. does it might slow down my progress?
My back wire came out and now it's just loose in my mouth my next appointment is on the 11th but the wire bugs me when I eat and I can't get it back in because it's super long
@@book.nerddd if the wire is small enough, nail clippers should work. There's also this neat thing called Tweakz from OrthoNu that you could buy--its designed for braces patients to do this sort of thing
You shouldn't be able to do that yourself unless you've been trained. Maybe they meant that you are supposed to come see them to have the wire removed before cleanings?
Okay, you might be okay as long as it's not bothering you. Lots of things can cause this. You might just take a picture and email it to your orthodontist and ask if you need a new wire going all the way back
It depends on the wire you're in. If it's a tiny flexible wire, it could cause discomfort and the tooth could POSSIBLY move in a way you don't want. There's a CHANCE that nothing bad could happen if it's not bothering you, but this video shows you how to fix it if you are able
So it keeps coming out repeatedly? If so, you may need to have your orthodontist put in a bigger one or merely clip it so that it doesn't go back to the molar
Badly? No, as long as it's not hurting you. Your orthodontist might want to put a new wire in there, though, so I would suggest taking a picture of it and emailing it to them and ask if you need a new wire going all the way back
The wires at the beginning are very flexible, and when they bend they can flex themselves right out of the bracket. It shouldn't happen later in treatment with bigger wires, though
Thank u so much this saved me 2h of my life driving to my dr

I just ate watermelon and then my wire came out of my braces
Your video helped me to fix it

It's really hard for me to say without seeing you. Most likely you'll be just fine since you're this early in treatment
Hello! Thanks for this video it helps but I bent my wire outwards does this affect where the tooth will move
It depends on what wire it is. If it was really "bendy" and flexible, you should be fine
I tried many times to get the wire back into the bracket, problem is I had to put it back into 3 brackets and 1 moler tube and I couldn’t do it and the wire was really long so I cut it🫠 is that bad?, is my orthodontist gonna get mad.

idk what to do it wont get back on and my orthodontist is closed is there a way i can do it my self with my hands
Yes, watch the video and use either tweezers or small pliers, but BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THE BRACKET!
How does this happen? And why does it keep happening? It's happend to both sides before and I didn't try to fix it and just went to my dentist, but then it just happened again but I'm not sure why or how.
It may happen due to the thin, flexible wire that you have. Perhaps a thicker wire won't do that anymore. Or you could just clip it possibly

I would love to help, but that's honestly something I cannot comment on without seeing all the information (x-rays, physical diagnosis, etc.)

You could ask them what wire it is and if it's essential to put back in ASAP
Mine is too long. I still have a week and a half before my second adjustment. Am I fine if I don't fix it?
Probably, yes
After putting it back, do i still need to visit my dentist?
You shouldn't! It might not be a bad idea to send them a picture via email if possible
i want to do it but it's so difficult and my mouth is in the way 😑 don't wanna travel almost 2 hrs to my dentist ugh. will this prevent/slow down whatever the braces is supposed to do?
Not if it's one of your initial, small wires
@@BaronDHall tysm! and for replying 😅 barely get any replies from these kinds of videos

I have the same issue i cant put it back in but it isnt bothering me should i go in for a quick fix or wait till appointment its a month away still
Call your orthodontist you should not wait a month the tooth could rotate out of alignment and set your treatment back.
It totally depends on what wire you have. Contact your orthodontist and ask to be sure
If wouldn't do this there is any problem will come ?
Not if done correctly as shown in the video
Hi, this just happened to me. It's really hard for me to put it back, and the wire is not flexible. My next appointment is in next week. does it might slow down my progress?
Possibly, but if it's just a week away then you're probably fine to let them know when you go in...
Thank you i fixed it. But I have one problem and that's the wire at the end is not straight. I mean there is a little curve . Is that bad?
Maybe not...but you'll probably want to take a picture and send it to your orthodontist (if you can) to check
Oh oke i will. Thank you
could i just wait til my next appointment to fix this? or is this something that should be fixed immediately?
Same question
If you're not in pain, it's probably fine to leave it unless you're close to getting braces off
What is the purpose of that last brace then if it doesn't hold the wire tightly?
The first few wires that do this most often don't usually move the molars, BUT said wires go to the molars more to support movement of adjacent teeth
My back wire came out and now it's just loose in my mouth my next appointment is on the 11th but the wire bugs me when I eat and I can't get it back in because it's super long
Can you trim some of it and then do what's in this video?
@@BaronDHall I can try, what's the best thing to cut it with?

can i still wear my rubber bands on the back moler bracket if the wire is not in the bracket???
Nope. Don't do it
Thank you so much

Will i still have to go to orthodontist if i fix it myself??
Not if you fixed it correctly
I was told to take my wires out of my braces to get my teeth cleaned does that even sound right I was never asked to do that eve since I had them
You shouldn't be able to do that yourself unless you've been trained. Maybe they meant that you are supposed to come see them to have the wire removed before cleanings?
This has happened to me, but the wire is not flexible at all. It's really sturdy and doesn't bend
Okay, you might be okay as long as it's not bothering you. Lots of things can cause this. You might just take a picture and email it to your orthodontist and ask if you need a new wire going all the way back
Can I fix it if the back 2 brackets came out
Probably not, because the wire goes into those brackets

Is it necessary to go to my orthodontist and if it keeps on coming out can I keep on doing this
No and yes
Pardon my lack of knowledge but may I ask what will happen if I don't fix this?

Its hard to bend it and put it back to its place it always stays unwired
Then leave it unless you're getting close to getting braces off or connect your orthodontist and ask them if it needs checked
@@BaronDHall I fixed it with my fingers a few days ago and it's in good condition

My bar is too short what should I do
So it keeps coming out repeatedly? If so, you may need to have your orthodontist put in a bigger one or merely clip it so that it doesn't go back to the molar
Will it affect my teeth badly if it’s out of the bracket for the bottom one?
Badly? No, as long as it's not hurting you. Your orthodontist might want to put a new wire in there, though, so I would suggest taking a picture of it and emailing it to them and ask if you need a new wire going all the way back

Dang. Better get it fixed at the office
I clicked on the video and I was able to put it on before actually watching it, oh well 😭

How do they come out anyway
