- Skiing Pinner Couloir outside Mammoth Lakes, CA. I like to use google earth to find the easiest way up and down couloirs in areas I've never skied before. Luckily i was able to scope this line from a couple days earlier, so i knew it went through. I was able to hike up the safe route, away from rock and wet slides in the chute, then ski down it quick and as safe as possible.

You gotta do more of these longer-length vids!! Always great to hear your thoughts about the lines you ski
Thanks, glad you like it
@@O_leeps Not only that but also your thought process on how you approach an objective like that is valuable learning.
Agreed. Last few videos are a nice compliment to the usual crazy clips!
Beautiful run! I appreciate you taking the time to explain your approach and process!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I didnt know you knew how to turn those things. You always go straight. Awesome vid.
Nice video. I'm surprised that there is still that much snow up there.
About 40 years ago Allen Bard and Tom Carter skied this in leather boots, three pin bindings on metal edge cross country skis. Hence the name pinner.
I’ve always though mammoth was a let down, but it’s what you make it. I’m glad you found some lines out there
You da Man Thanks back in the early 80s Fourth of July was a must for Mammoth even though I lived in the bay area
I enjoyed hearing your perspective, thanks Owen.
1:25 Oh sure, "safer", like, safer than jumping into a tank full of sharks with fish strapped to every limb... what a great video, thanks for sharing this.
Awesome! Shoulder doing good enough to get up and down too!
Great skiing - great video! Wishing you no sharks and happy run outs from Canada. Stay safe eh.
Prospector 96s? I have those! 👍🤙

you should add a drone if they will let you fly one on these adventures would be another cool shot to follow you
This spot was wilderness
See that corn? It's not fun. It will knock the crap out of you on a rock. I don't take that chance.
