Ven is a small Swedish island in the Øresund strait, between Scania and Zealand. It is part of Landskrona Municipality, Skåne County. The island has 371 inhabitants and an area of 7.5 km². The Island is located 4.5 km off the Swedish coast & 8.5km off the danish coast.
History
1576, King Fredrick II bestowed the island of ven on TYCHO Brahe& Brahe built Uraniborg castle surrounded by a magnificent renaissance garden
Facts
One of the best tourist place in Skåne. A please take walk & cycling gravel path with wonderful view of Øresund Denmark.
You can get rental bikes(single, double, with kid seat, with kid trailer, electric bikses, electric golf car). Prefer to prebooking during the weekend: venscykeluthyrning.se
There are no grocery store so better to bring your own stuff when you are going with kids although there are lots of restaurants in every short distance.
Three ways to come this island through ferry, from:
1. Landskrona
2. Helsingborg
3. Denmark

Although this is one day trip however if you want to stay in island there are several options:

Summers (mid of July) is best time to visit, in where you hardly required winter jackets.
The whole island is a nature reserve or a nature conservation area which means there are special rules & regulations to be followed.
