Sentry719 freight department not bad work like 8p-4a listen to music learn how to drive the lifts and what not
Z why are you glad you "did them"?
Oh my god you have such a hard
Dude stfu you ain’t special
Z ok calm down, nobody can scream for 8 hours straight
Good stories
I was bronze like copper
Mjoulnir Manhattan M.D. ahaha nice catch
This is so true. After working an open to close 14 hour shift while in high school at a fast food restaurant and still not making very much money, I knew I needed to go to college
I'm a 25 year old carpenter and bought my own house at 23. Construction definitely isn't for everyone, but if you're willing and able it can be an excellent career.
I grew up working on our family farm. My first paying job was at 15 for the summer with the Youth Conservation Corps, they would take us into the mountains and be there for a week at a time rebuilding trails, putting up fence ( miles of it in mountains) planting thousands of trees. It paid 200 a week.
I really needed this right now
Gustavo Almanza yah man
Gustavo Almanza push through man. Push through. God be with you. Please come to the Lord Jesus Christ. In Him is life.
Romans 6:23 King James Version (KJV)
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Gustavo Almanza He loves you so dearly and He died for you. Push through man the hard times will seize.
Working a construction job for the last 3 summers and currently as a college kid. I relate to this so hard.
Your tough as nails bro never give up💪💪
Took one summer job to convince me that I needed a real plan lol. Kicked my butt.
Probably my favourite clip so far
I work labor just like joe did and everything he says is so accurate 😂😂😂 no water just a coke 😂😂
Landscaping for me. I know I don’t wanna be a laborer. My back has told me enough haha
As a kid that took a construction summer job where the whole crew smoked weed alllll day I planned on working for a summer and ended up working over a year and probably would have stayed working there for much longer luckily for me I got fired this hit really close to home after that job I realized that the only boss I wanted to work for was myself now I’m an independent contractor/mechanic and I get to work whenever works for me, remember there’s no point of working for money if you don’t have time to use the money you make. Also I’ve learned how to use the money I make to make more money by buying and selling car parts and vehicles because that is what I know but this can be applied to almost any industry
Did Lowe’s outside lawn and garden during college , 530 am opening was the worst on sat and sundays after being out all night . Trying to talk to customers asking me about mulch or saying I need 3 pallets of landscaping tiles and rocks loaded by hand was just horrible , now I supervise Crews building houses , feel for those guys
I just graduated college in December, been at Lowe’s for 4 years. Looking so forward to getting out and beginning my career 👏 glad you got out
Well when I was a teenager I played video games.
Fucking loser lol
YourMomOwesMeChildSupport nice man you got him really good, god I wish I was you
@@kentaviouscaldwell-goat5880 you upset because you spent the prime of your life playing video games too?
YourMomOwesMeChildSupport no, I thought you had a nice burn and I wanted to compliment it. I’m actually having a great time and I’m in the prime of my life right now. I’ve had sex with 7 models today, 3 if them have made magazine covers in the last 5 years. It’s really easy to get them to want to have sex with me, all I have to do is flash my six figure salary and they immediately gravitate towards my genitals
J.Helm what
Tha Grind
Im at the "I gotta make a plan" sequence of things
3:50 basically my life when i was 17-19
I think everyone 17 18, boys mainly should work summer jobs that teach discipline and work ethic. Whether it's construction, landscaping, or tree service like I did. Best thing I could've done, almost every hurdle I encounter with the job I do now seems like nothing now that I've experienced such immense physical challenges. Having a good boss who could also be a mentor was huge too. Even learning basic stuff that you might not think is a big deal at a young age like showing up 10 minutes early, not 2 minutes late. It's a great way to set yourself up for success in life.
Can’t believe I missed this podcast out of all I’ve seen of Joe’s…..this has to be one of the best ones for content and being hilarious 😄👍 Wish I saw this 6yrs sgo😄
Man I love the stories. Hilarious
I'm still working these random summer jobs at 25 and I couldn't be happier
I got a job last summer digging trenches... God damn that's the reason I'm going to go to college
This is best motivational conversation I've heard in long time! 😊
These ppl give me perspective
This was my life every summer from sophomore year of high school till last august when i finally transferred into ucf 4 years later just working construction 13 hours six days a week and grind through that shit. first day after graduating high school i remember just getting in from work and just going fuck my life i need to get an education or some shit cause this 13 hour a day shit fucking sucks. Glad i did it though i met some fucking characters working in the keys on sites and made me realize to not fuck around in school.
When i was 12 my father put me in a construction job. I worked for a month. I swear i was working harder than anyone else. But the thing is, it changed me. Im gratefull that my father did that.
Started concrete with my dad when I was 12 still working it at 17 but I do more landscaping now and it was the best work experience
This is so awesome and totally relatable
His step dad was probably like "he said dad at first 😢"
Working while you're tired while youre a kid is very important. I'll be out at 4 in the morning drinking and partying. Back at work at a bar the next day.
Got a summer job atm in a big butchering factory, it's the worst shit I've ever done and I am so extremely motivated to go back to school after the summer.
Gotta respect the grind
I feel ya Greg! I was a bar back in one of the busiest clubs on bourbon street back in the early 2000's. Such physically demanding job!
I like this guy, he’s like an alternate version of burr lmfao. Boston really pumps out some incredible talent.
Thanks for those stories! It makes me complain less about my shitty corporate job. It’s kind of comforting to know that I don’t have it the worst.
Working two jobs right now for summer , paper round and KP. Love relatable shit on JRE
I remember working summer jobs from 6:30-6:30 5 days a week in high school! it was literally learning how perform optimally completely zapped. Great character builder for sure
fuck that
This is my life,. construction laborer since 14 during the summer. I'm 17 now
Fuck that
Currently watching this during my summer job lunch break
glad to know that drinking your face off and still showing up on site the next morning is not only a thing of my generation
Working as a camp counselor in charge of a bunch of 6 year olds informed me that I needed a high paid job. I don’t think there’s a more underpaid job to teenagers than camp jobs.
I worked construction from leaving school until i broke my back at 34 and i loved my job i got so much satisfaction from building things
I’ve been installing floors since I was about 8 with my dad and he would never let me take more than a couple breaks, I can do it now without any breaks but as a kid it felt super straining to be denied rest
Ok sure bud
I watch this everytime i have to power through something on no sleep
Man I used to work at a grocery store for a summer pushing carts in 120 degrees for 2-3 hours 2x during a my 8 hour shifts 5 days a week. Made me realize I couldn’t see myself doing the same repetitive shit for the rest of my life.
the summer job laborer story is literally me im so lost lmao
I started working construction at 15. Really made me realize I want to go to college
When i was in 8th grade my father took me out of football and started bringing me to work with him every summer after that. At the time there were moments I'd complain and find it hard but it was the greatest thing my father ever did for me. He taught me work ethics and how to be man and i could never repay him for that
This is why living in a city is so much better when you're young. Theres so much to do
No way man. I was a rural kid and there's so much to do with people at nearby lakes, rivers and woods!
@@DannyTillotson I agree with you!
I was a carpenter apprentice for 2 years 16-18 carrying 3 lengths of 2x4 or 2 sheats of plasterboard up 5+ flights of stairs and got sick of always being tired to the point i could not even be fucked going out for drinks on the weekend because i was so sore and tired my knees were always fucked from standing on concrete 9 hours a day
the stories these guys tell vs what is even possible today is unreal
Yea those summer jobs built character….
I started doing drywall at 15 an I loved it made me feel like a real man
Dummy
Joe “never forget jeff” rogan
I never wanna leave this channel
I live I’m England Dorchester, trying to keep up with 20 somethings who have been on work labour sites for years is such a ballache as a summer job , I’m 17 at the minute and I get 750 a month and I have to get up at 6am and don’t finish about 4:30-5, it demolishes me mentally being tired but I always feel so accomplished and responsible earning my money at the minute I’m essentially a busboy/ waiter and I love talking to people and meeting so many different characters
I am a laborer at the age of 18 in Boston and let me tell you Joe couldn’t be more correct.
Turned 16 in march, handed out my resume for the first time today, wish me luck guys!
Wish you the best 💪🏽
Keep hitting restaurant chains and retail. It's best u go in person dont waste time online bro. It's best to look the manager in the eye and shake his hands like a man. U will be alright
@@rhysstanley7387 it was a flop, the old lady got mad at me for not sanitizing my hands when I walked in smh, and the girl at the grocery store just took my resume and dumped it with the rest. But, I won't loose hope yet, there are so many plazas in my area.
@@mehakverma7043 lol i randomly found this comment. I have to go find a new job right now lol
@@rhysstanley7387 Lol, no matter how much I handed out my resume or applied to jobs, no one hired me. As of January (9 months after I posted this comment) I finally got hired at Walmart through a reference, otherwise I know for sure, I would have never gotten hired.
The most relatable video ever. I worked at Newport creamery and now I work that valet shit. Can’t wait for this to stop. Love the grind
Indeed. Only spoiled kids didn't hustle their ass off in summer jobs.
as a sixteen year old currently doing construction under my dad as a summer job
this checks out
