Hydro Dipping a pair of Crocs

- Hi and welcome back to my channel thank you for all the new subscribers. so in this video I am showing you how to Hydro dip crocs with spray paint. Everything I used will be listed below be sure to follow our other channels join my Facebook family.
This was a super easy and fun project you can use crocs or offbrand crocs and design them exactly how you want them you can use as many or as little spray paint colors as you desire.
Supplies that you will need
A pair of crocs
Painters tape
Grocery bags
Popsicle sticks or you can use a straw
Spray paint prefer rust oleum brand because it has the primer in the spray so it will stick and last longer
Bucket , Water
So with this set of crocs I used 9 spray paints
Golden sunset
Real orange
Black
Purple
Lagoon
Key lime
St. Tropez
Navy blue
Pink
Let dry for two hours then take your painters tape / bags out of your crocs
Then you will let them dry overnight
Once dry they will be ready to wear

Not a fan of crocs or the spray paint method for hydro dipping, but the final product is pretty cool.

I had to put clear on them , I notice it matters how rough you are with them
Does that Circut light help when it’s smaller or darker things you’re working with? I want to invest In one here soon 🤔thanks
The light works better with darker vinyl it just depends on the color but it definitely has helped me well worth the money
Do we need to do any kind of process to follow for the crocs before and after dipping. Like primer coating etc
You just wanna tape off the shoe where you don’t want the paint to go on but there’s no prepping as long as they’re clean and dry no oils or anything on it

What do you use as a finisher? I have hydro dipped my crocs twice and the paint keeps chipping off after a couple days!
I use a clearcoat you’re going to have paint chip off but I did a clearcoat on each one and let it fully dry
Does the paint chip after the clearcoat?

Do you have to prep the shoe at all?
Does the spray paint not make the shoes sticky?
No not at all

You can dip front or back it don’t matter

Do you have spray paint that’s all you need
I am going to try this, but I will tape first then stuff. You seem to be struggling to put the tape on after you stuffed. Nonetheless, nice turnout. I like the first one best.
It doesn’t matter which one you do first good luck have fun with it

It is permanent, but as time goes, it can start to come off. It just depends on how much you wear them.

How much water should you pour?
I just fill the bucket halfway, you need enough water to be able to dip the shoe or a cup
Hey did these chip or did Any paint wear off.
So if you don’t clearcoat them they will start pulling in chipping off but you have to clearcoat and seal them for the paint to stay.

@@keydawkins6205 I used rust in oleum clearcoat you could use the matte finish or you could use the gloss finish. And you’re very welcome thank you for watching

@@Davidsweirdness with just clear coat it will I also pray and adhesive clear and it depends on how Rough you are with the shoes

It’s a preference you can have as many different colors as you want
